Pakistan set to face India for the third time in this Asia Cup 2025 but this time it will be a final showdown for the trophy. So which side will win this high voltage match? Will it be the no-handshake guys or the 6-0 gesture guys.

Also it would be the first occasion when Pakistan and India will face each other in a final of Asia Cup.

Guys please keep the discussion polite and free from personal attacks.
 
Only route for Pakistan is to win the toss. Hope to restrict India below par. Hold the nerve in chase. India has multiple ways to win.
 
Pakistan top order batting is non existent at the moment. Saim needs to show up big time in the final to give Pakistan any chance of winning or getting close. Not happening in my opinion.

Toss or no toss, Pak ain't wining this. A full strength India is multiple level above this Pakistani team. We underperformed in the first 2 games, still won handsomely.

Well you may underperform in the final game- It's not only the team strengths that are unequal but the psychological beat down India has been giving to Pakistan is a big reason Pakistan can't defeat India

Need above par totals in finals. Can't put up a timid batting display like they did against Bangladesh with muddled batting order.

India through Gambhir and their stupid government has taken on the most intense and needless pressure on themselves. Pakistan on paper should lose to India every single time they play for a year at least, but the pressure can cause an Indian fumble and Pak are good enough to be able to catch that fumble :jimmy :nerves
 
India look like they are a class apart. But it's still an inexperienced side and in t20s any side can win. I say 70-30 India favoured

Will SKY and Agha have a photo together with the trophy? Captains often do it before a final.

It would be a shame if India don't shake hands after the final.
 
It's almost pointless to play a spinner against India as they really negate the spinner. Abrar & Talat out. Hassan & Wasim in.

I do not want to play Saim but it almost feels that they just do not have any batters in the shed.
 
India are still the favorites but Pakistan now has a decent chance for the following reasons:

1) All the Pak batters by now, except for Saim, now have had meaningful knocks.
Indian top order has had been too good. They deprived their middle and lower order from the opportunity to have decent time in the middle

2) Based on law of averages, Indian top order is bound to fail. More often than not this has been the case in the finals for them.

3) Saim will definitely play the final after today's bowling performance against BD. He looks horribly out of form but watchout. Same thing happened with Gilchrist in 1999 WC. Only had one decent innings in the entire tournament, against Pakistan in the finals.

4) Pakistan has finally figured out how to use its fast bowlers and the combination is working now.

5) Pakistan will be high on confidence after winning two effectively knock-out games.

6) India might be too over confident after defeating Pakistan so easily in the past two weeks.


Nevertheless, Indian players are thorough professionals. They are still favorites.

But it's only one game left, which will be a knockout. After South Africa, if there is any other team which chokes in the Finals, it's India.
 
India has won 33 of last 36 matches. India has won every single match that Dube played. So his record will face another test tomorrow and on sunday
 
It’s 50-50. Pakistan is miles behind on skill level but it will be a game of nerves. India will be under more pressure considering it’s a final against Pakistan.

Pakistan can pull it off as any team can win a T20 match no matter the skill difference and Pakistan is still better than the rest of the teams participating in Asia Cup and is deservingly in the final.
 
Only way for PCT to win will be winning toss and batting first. With this batting line up, Pakistan ain't chasing anything above 155

This law of averages is a stupid argument. Sahibzada put up 2 scores, Bumrah had 2 **** games. So as per law of averages - Sahibzada ll fail and Bumrah ll run through Pakistan? 😄

Unfortunately, when it comes to knockout games all the rationality goes out of the door.

The only thing that matters is how you handle pressure.

Even in the last clash, the best fielders of India dropped catches.

Whoever handles the pressure well, wins.


None of these Indian players are better than Rohit and Kohli. They have failed in finals and semifinals, more often than not.
 
Pakistan will need conjure up some kind of magical performance to win the final. Despite being very sloppy in the last two matches, India have won comfortably. While Pakistan have just not looked very good. There have been patches of brilliance that they will take alot of confidence from, but like I said, the stars will have to align for something unexpected to happen in the final. Ofcourse crazier things have happened in this game so I won't rule out a miracle. But common sense dictates otherwise.
 
Indian cricketers will not feel the pressure of Pakistan but the expectation of defeating Pakistan again. PAkistan, which is peaking at the right time.

Needless to say, many Indians don't want them to play against Pakistan. That pressure will also play a bigger role as compared to the non-knockout games. It's easy to play your natural game when you know that you can always comeback in the next game. But the final is a different story...

Have to put India to bat first. Pressure of the final and Shaheen's opening spell is what PCT should be banking on.

If India end up chasing, their batters won't have that initial nervousness that they would if they were batting first
 
Looks the hype for the final only exists in PP forums. None of my friends are following Asia cup and they did not seem to care about any of those results.
Normally for any India-Pakistan match, the buzz starts a week early. This time it’s crickets.

In ICC tournaments.

This is an Asia Cup, where quality is much lower. Those two never lost an AC final. 4/4.

That is because indai has nothing to gain by beating pakistan. It is like flogging a dead horse. But for Pakistan it is going to be a national holiday level achievement as they haven't beaten India in a 2 or 3 years.

Not really, India don't play spins very well tbh, especially in these conditions.. they like pacers more

You must understand that Pakistan is not officially the 2nd best team of Asia anymore. Beating Bangladesh, Afghanistan and SL in T20s is an improvement for team Pakistan. Next target team Modi 🇮🇳

Sir, this is an Asia Cup.

There are members of this Indian team who have won multiple ICC titles plus multiple Asia Cups.

It is Pakistan where no one has won an ICC title or an Asia Cup minus Fakhar (only guy).

And Pakistan isn't "peaking". They have huffed and puffed against all teams including minnows. Lost comfortably twice against India and India were poor in the second game.
 
Just get as many big hitting batsmen in the powerplay, Agha should drop down the order and play Nawaz.

They always find some silverlining in defeats, hopeless situations. lol Good attitude to deal with losses. But their expectation from the team is very low. Beating India somehow with the hope of India dropping guard is the wish. Not beating India when they are at their very best. India might very well mess things up given the lack of middle order contribution. But despite having the worst top 6 in this tournament mocking the unbeaten side with some weird theories is comical.

Seriously, it's the same delusion before every game.

If india win the toss, the games is done.

If pak win the toss and chase, they might have a 10% chance
