Even if BCCI employees play this match, I am boycotting it. The images of Pahalgam attack is still fresh in my eyes and should be a reminder to every Indian.

There is no second best Asian team anymore. Pakistan under Sarfraz Ahmed was the last time there was a definite no.2 that was better than the rest barring India.

Right now..Pak-SL-Ban-Afg are all on more or less a similar level with very very little to separate them.
 
I’d urge Indian fans not to get too carried away—it’s a sport after all, and on any given day, any team can win. Considering this is a T20 match and given the unpredictable nature of the format, Pakistan could very well pull off an upset.

Most talk only about probability rather than Anamoly. 9 out of 10 who will win kind of debate. Sure anyone can beat anyone in T20. That is the nature of the beast although India has been remarkably consistent in the last 2 years dropping very few games.
 
I side with @Rajdeep on this, it's a sport at the end of the day. But this is El Clasico, and currently the real significance lies not in the winner, but in the fact that the game is happening despite the boycott chants. :yk :inti

Flex n Gate which is the largest supplier of Toyata bumpers and Aew + Jackson villers jaguars is owned by a Pakistani, so is bestway group and best way is a huge contributer of cement and housing especially in western countries such as UK.

So food for thought, how about you stop driving toyato, stop living in cement housing, stop buying groceries the countless of which are manufactured by Pakistani and get off PP which was created by Pakistani 's.

There are way more Canadian Indians than Canadian Pakistanis/Deshis so that is a self goal. And they are more powerful and richer than Canadian Pakistanis/Deshis.

Indians are more in number.more powerful/richer than Paksitanis/Deshis both in the homelands and diaspora.

Indian achievements are orders of magnitude larger than that. Even you have admitted as such.

Stats like GDP, HDI, number of tech unicorns, forex reserves, stock market caps etc don't lie.
 
Even though Asia cup was largely dominated by India followed by Srilanka for the last 40 years nobody remembers the outcomes. virat kohli often sat out of Asia cup even at his peak. IN the last 10 years India has utterly dominated Asia cup. I don't think anyone cares as they were expected to. So it will be a news only when they lose it. Even winning here means very little for India given the standings of each team. But it is a massive deal for teams like Pakistan, Srilanka if they put one across top side like India. So i expect them to step up massively. Other than bragging rights India gains nothing out of this Asia cup win or loss. This is why i feel India missed an opportunity to experiment a few youngsters here. They thrusted new poster boy into this already working set up. Even if India loses it means nothing. Nobody remembers. Suryavanshi, Matre should have opened. 14 year old & 17 year old. That would have been great.

History is witness that Pakistan cricket and its fans always been brought back to earth whenever they tried to fly too high. This trait is even more prevelant in the past decade and half.

Aane do series followed by Champions Trophy 2013 in England.

CT17 Finals followed by Asia cup 2018.

152/0 game followed by Asia cup 2023 in Colombo.

Lets see what future holds...

Mhatre would struggle against our u19 bowler Al Fahad, going to be difficult to handle Rauf, SSA at this time. However, Suryavanshi can definitely whack a few sixes.

And yet india is still taking it as a serious event. Infact they are taking it more serious than the wcl, that even after destroying their rafales and killing saffron soldiers, they want to play a match with pakistan

This is exactly why Saurav Ganguly had that idea of playing a 4 team tournament with Australia, England and New Zealand which would have been much more entertaining and a higher quality short tournament than whatever this Asia Cup is.

We could have played our main team there to get them battle hardened against stronger sides while testing fringe players in the Asia Cup.

MCG match between INdia and Zimbabwe were attended by 87000 people. A dead rubber. WHat is next UAE telling "India is desperate to play us. That is why they want to play against us". Indai might as well have played a series against Oman and there won't be any drop in viewership. You somehow over-rate Pakistan's importance for India. India just has to play. Doesn't matter who the opposition is.

You guys just played those teams recently. Playing the same teams over and over will be boring. Asia Cup has more teams now compared to before, and T20 is the best format for this tournament. If ICC was not greedy, they could've had 6 teams round robin then Semi followed by Final, which would've been a lot more interesting.

Playing them in a series is a lot different from playing them in tournament style.

And I'm not saying we should scrap the Asia Cup completely, just that it should be used as a fringe tournament atleast from an Indian perspective, to test out young players in a tournament setting.

We have fought 4 wars and soldiers have been dying on either side since 1947. Pakistani soldiers were running away from kargil leaving their own dead bodies behind as Pakistan was losing to India at Old Trafford in the 1999 world cup.

What even is your point?

Pehalgam mein maray gaye and than hamaray sath kheilnay agaye.. lol
 
Back in 2016...just after the Pathankot attack, there were calls for India to boycott Pakistan in the 2016 Asia Cup and the WT20 but the matches went ahead as usual. There was not this much drama done by Pakistanis as they too wanted the matches to go ahead as they were a bit more optimistic of Pakistan beating India in one of those games..

But now...looks like the white flags are completely raised.:yk

Ever since that 2023 Asia Cup game , Indian team has decimated the appetite for this game among the Pakistani fans who are now just reduced to cope in advance and pray that the matches won't happen. What a sad state of affairs!

It depends what Modi and BJP insert into their behinds, they dance to the tune accordingly.

Then come and lecture us about economy, politics, principles etc
