Australia (391 & 227/3d) defeat Pakistan (268 & 235) by 115 runs to win 3rd Test - Take series 1-0

Wicket's starting to look a little spicier for the spinners these last couple overs.

Pakistan clearly playing for a draw here, sensational advertisement of Test cricket when the opposing captain is doing everything he can to make a match out of it.

Completely outplayed at home, more so to do with the loser mentality than incompetence.
 
Someone have a talk with Imam. He doesn't have to play every damn ball pitched outside of the leg stump.

Out ability to play spin bowling has worsened so much.
 
Karachi and Lahore pitches offered enough to force results. If there will be three draws then it would be due to dogged batting.

If you don’t think the pitches have been downright pathetic and disgraceful then I would like some of what you’re smoking. Have you ever heard of a 3 match test series ending with 3 draws unless there have been significant weather delays/cancellations?
 
Imam has no clue against practically anyone. How has he managed to survive this session is beyond me. He is rivaling Abid Ali in luck. Anyone remember that England innings where he edged his way to fifty?
 
If this pair bats through until tea and adds another 55-60. That's 150 needed of the final session with 8 wickets in hand.

I'll take it gladly though, if it means not losing here. The remifications of this will bad for us in the long but can't have it both ways, can you?

Pitches have been poor, specially the first two tests.

But don't think this Lahore pitch is that bad.
We probably will see a result here if Aussies bowl decently

Second new ball becomes available in 20 overs.

Right now, the game is equally poised :faf
 
Imam has to be the only batsmen I've seen that slows down after scoring a 50. Never seen such a selfish player

Batting isn't easy as some big spin and reversing plus some disciplined bowling by Australian bowlers except the Leggie

The bounce and turn Lyon has started to extract is making it hard I suppose for Imam to just kick away at balls outside leg. Those deliveries must be the times when Imam wished he didn't have arms since he appears to be desperately searching for ways to hide them :misbah

Imam seems like a nice guy but as an Indian fan it's very entertaining to watch and worth skipping an afternoon nap for :)

It is pretty poor, but I’m pleasantly surprised they made 63 esp when you consider azhar was at the crease for half of it. Once Azhar walked in I was expecting around 40 odd with his inevitable blockathon

What I'm really waiting for though, is the aesthetic Fawad Alam contrasted against a few more from Babar Azam like his straight drive to the Cummins delivery that was moving in :stokes

A strong reaction on social media is warranted from the fans, so the team understands that this WILL lose them fans.

At no point in any of the tests were Pakistan going for a win, despite being given the opportunity by Pat Cummins. Credit to Australia, despite not being good enough in the subcontinent, they have played like lions.
 
Would Batsmen try to chase this ? The req rate is almost 4. It looked very much possible at Stumps yesterday but given how Ultra defensively Batsmen batted in the first session today, it's looks all very difficult right now.

We are playing with just 3 inform/genuine batsmen on day 5 with our tail starting at 6.

So nobody from our coaching staff, during the lunch break, told Imam that he doesn't need to play and he can kick the ball away? Useless
 
Starc is such a leveller

Fawad and Rizwan have always been his bunnies
 
Well at least Fawad is edging runs against Starc and the scoreboard is ticking a bit
 
It seems like this guy will score some useless runs which will have no impact on match and will save his career yet again.
 
Starc is really owning Fawad here, looks almost like an 18 year old picking on a 5th grader here. Really hope Fawad toughs it out, of all the things he may lack grit isn't one of them.
