Australia reach Stumps on Day 3 at 81/1, a lead of 489 in the 2nd Test vs Pakistan

Is it possible for Pakistan to get bowled out twice by this evening?
 
There you go people saying Babz to take strike..a bit of spin there and didnt hit it properly. Well lets see what happens on follow on and how QUICK aussies get it reversing it again
 
Questionable tactics during bowling and strategy of batting with tail by Babar.
Needs to learn from these experiences.
 
With all the negative mindset Pakistan came in this test they deserve to lose.
 
That's why Babar should not even play test let alone be captain. Pathetic and over hype player.
 
Get Umar Akmal Haider Ali and Fakhar Zaman in the test team lose with some entertainment at least what is this timid slow torture.

Now we'll bat better but still lose by an innings and then watch the glory interviews come out of the PCB.
 
Lol it just seems to be a case where when Pak need to be aggressive, they're not and when they need to be defensive, they're not. Severe lack of game awareness.
 
I thought the collapse would come on the fifth they didn’t make us wait third day was enough.
 
Pakistan will need someone to do the heroics of Dravid and Laxman at Eden Gardens vs Australia in 2001.
 
Aus, Eng, NZ and Ind are test teams which will not let you go away easily. You have to fight them to score runs and take wickets and win matches offcourse.
Above all we play very few test matches with these 4 nations (havent played with Ind from last 10 years or so), so it is expected
 
Australia should not enforce the follow-on. Bat for 50 overs in ODI mode, give Pakistan a target of 600+ runs with almost two full days to save the Test and secure the biggest win ever on Pakistani soil.
 
I am getting ready to place Babar under the likes of very capable Saleem Malik and Majid Khan in Pakistan’s test batting hierarchy. Good but not great. And certainly not under pressure.
 
Rizwan with the all coolness acts havent contributed with runs in test cricket lately especially when needed

As u said , it was Dravid and Laxman.. No one in this test side could even come close to their technique, commitment, patience and skills even Babar cant come close..:misbah
 
The whole Pakistani batting perforamance has been strange from giving easy wickets with run outs, batting Nauman lower than Sajid and Hasan Ali, and Imam,Babar getting dismissed with unnecessay shots.

Pak plays regularly against eng and aus.
 
Shabaash cheetay Shaheen i could see in psl he has improved his batting and looks much more solid than rizwan and faddy
 
This is why aggressive batsmen are needed in tests quick runs can take the pressure of and bring back momentum.
 
Somebody tell the Pakistan team that watching then bat twice on the same day does not mean good value for money...
 
Aleem Dar seems to be frustrated after watching awful batting, 2 umpire calls given in favor of Aussies.
 
Great decision to bat again. Cummins is ruthless and smart. Punish Pakistan bowlers even more such that they have nothing for the next match. Plenty of time left in the match, still to force a result.
 
Aussies lead by 408 and will bat again. i can see them declaring at lunch and having 5 sessions to bowl pakistan out.
 
I must say Pakistani umpres been keen to give Pakistanis out. Both Faheem ans Shaheen would had bwen not out if Aleem did not try to please thw guests. Then Ahsan adjuding Rizwan out whe he was yard in front.
 
148 all out... And australia wanna bat again, give some rest to his bowlers, which is not surprising..

They should have wrapped this up with an inns victory.. No way Pak gonna cross over 250 on the max in this wicket..
 
There’s too many budday in the team, How you supposed to fight when half your team is budday?
 
206 overs left in the match. Should bat 84 overs and and then give themselves 120 overs to bowl out Pakistan.

Aleem did that with marginal calls when Aussies were batting also. He's behaved as Australia 12th man this game.
 
Why Aus batting again? Why give chance for Pak to relax and come back in the match? Very un-Australian like.
 
Australia have made the wrong call to bat again. This is the only error they've made this entire match that can cost them the win. They should have put our deflated batting in again, and would have nipped out a couple by close of play. If they bat unit lunch tomorrow, we have a chance to sneak a draw.
 
Pakistan should bowl spin no need to use pacers as they will deteriorate this pitch.

Best is to continue bowling spin as much as possible. Runs are now irrelevant

You mean Pakistan can bat 5 sessions in the 4th innings? I doubt it.
 
Babar at the end of this Test will come out and say oh we didnt bat well in the 1st inns and that cost us the match...


Same dialogue as Misbah..

In short they didnt play well from Day 1..

Rest the pacers, still 6+ sessions of cricket. 5 session is more than enough to bowl out are pathetic batsmen.
 
Babar how can you be so dumb. the objective now should be to bowl negative and not to burn your fast bowlers.

Batting 5 sessions is easier than batting almost 7 sessions. Pakistan will get a window of opportunity to draw the game. Whereas if we were batting now, we would have lost the match 100%.
 
Going 1-0 down into lahore plays into Aussies hands. means pakistan have to force the pace in final test which are batting cant do. Add to that Aussies will look at knowing they can play out a draw for a series win.

Australia does everything that you don't want them to do. That's how they play their cricket, the bowling changes, the declarations, the follow-on, and even the batting.

I don't want to be negative but Pakistan is light-years behind the technical aspect of the game. We have no idea about the strengths of our players let alone the opposition. Nauman is trotting at number 10, Babar is trying to slog the first ball of the spinner and what not knowing full well that runs are a non-issue at this stage. Every ball that we played in the first innings would have helped us to draw the match but here we are.
 
Shaheen and hasan need wickets here purely to just regain some confidence.

It's a perfect decision, that's what mental disintegration is about. Getting the tired bowlers Pakistani bowlers out, wearing down the pitch even further, and breaking the spirit of the Pakistan team for even the third test. It also eliminates the 0.01% improbable chance of a Pakistan win in case we managed to somehow score 500 in our second innings.

Team is way too imbalanced, budday and mediocre batsmen and then basically a kid who is supposed to be the leader of the pace attack.

We will still get the usual suspects come in and write long essays how these are all great players and wonderful players. Lol

They should be bowling the spin bowlers. No need to assist the pitch in breaking up and tiring out your bowlers.

It's been a pattern putting together over 35s and under 21s together for some time now. Never understood this approach.

Lol, I wrote this probably before Pakistan started batting, Australia didn’t enforce follow-on, but Pakistan all out in a couple of sessions.

Seems like both teams playing on different wickets.
 
This is the time to give Sajid Khan the ball and ask him to target the pads.
 
Why is Babar burning out Shaheen. He is the last person who should bowl at this time. Just unbelievable
 
Poor decision from australia to bat again, the should have enforced the follow on, really poor decision.
 
Rizwan has had a poor game with the gloves overall. Dropped a leg side chance in the first innings also to one of the spinners. And now this one.
