What a boring day of cricket so far. Almost like watching 2 Dravids at the crease.

Test cricket buddy. India is grinding Australia and putting themselves in the driver's seat here.

Run rate for the day is 2.51, that's just poor by modern day standards. We aren't trying to save the match, yet our opener is scoring at a strike rate of 34.35 which is pathetic.

Probably telling India that only Ishant doesnt have that world class talent :asif

No one can beat Lankan Mr. 354 who I think has become Mr 200 odd, Nuwan Pradeep

Wait till India finishes their innings. They won't be scoring at the same rates tommorrow. Probably there will some aggression after tea. I see no reason why India must hurry or take any risks today having dismissed Australia cheaply on the first day. India must target getting to about 450 by 3rd day tea (and about 250 by the close of today) and they will have put themselves in a nearly unassailable position.

India doesnt have anything to worry about the way current partnership is going, Kohli and Dhoni can also pick up from ahead and there's Tendulkar as well.

On the other hand looks like another lost is on the cards for Australia

I do think this match will progress till 5th day. Pitch here is not as helpful to the spinners as it was in Chennai. Despite all the bashings that it is getting from its fans, Oz batting line up is still a decent one to negate our Okish bowling attack on a not so tough pitch. I would be really surprised if they falter cheaply once again. So expecting a tough fight from them.

we are 61 behind & 28 overs left in the day . let us say we end up 10-15 ahead with loss of 3 wickets & bat 50-55 overs on day 3,gather a overall lead of 175 before getting bowled out . that sill leaves us with 30+90 overs = 120 overs for day 3 & 4 . Do not think Aussies will bat for more than 90 overs on a day 3 & 4 pitch here . Does any one think this test could be a draw btw ?

Don't think Australia can avoid innings defeat this time.

Is this match being shown on channel 9 as well? Really want to listen to Taylor, Slater and co now.

awesome knock by Pujara:bow:

struggling with knee,still hung on:14:

Pujara is a class player in these conditions.

Maxwell to Pujara, 2 runs, that will be Test hundred No 4 for Pujara, there is only one Test fifty to go with that, shows you he keeps going when he gets in, dabs one that stays low towards short third man and somehow manages to take two with his injured leg

Maxwell has conceded 55 runs in 10 overs & again confirms what i had said at toss, going with 3 bowlers & 2 batting a-rounders was a extremely defensive move & a major blunder .
213/1 in 19 overs to go till end .

Loving the way India are handling these poor spinners. Let a poor spinner stay poor, don't let him settle and make him look better than he is.

James: "If Clarke wanted a left arm spinner he should have just bowled himself."

:)))

I have a feeling that these two will have a go before close and hurt Aussies further.

Now we're stuck with Murali Vijay in the team for the foreseeable.

Thanks for nothing Aussies!

C9 don't broadcast cricket from outside of Australia thank heavens for that.

'Mark Waugh': "I might be available to tweak my arm over in the next test. Can bat a bit too.."
:))

I really wanted to listen to those arrogant australian commentators right now as the drubbing is in progress.

So i guess India is winning this one, we will declare at 500 tomorrow and unless Clarke does a VVS the match should be over by the fourth day.

25 ahead, new ball due & 13 overs left . will Aussies get another wicket today ?

lol, comedy at cricinfo : New ball is due, and Australia have[ grabbed it out of the umpire's hands] taken it .

Jeez Aussies are a poor unit at the moment. Long live the domination of other teams I say :)

If I were Dhoni I'll promote myself up the order and finish them off.

I hope I'm being patriotic when I say that Vijay coming good is detrimental to our long term batting future.

You're just being bitter that someone whom you did not expect to do well has proved you wrong and hit a 100. And you are finding it difficult to hide your frustration.

Shed that cynicism and applaud the effort.

i am a bit bitter that murali got a hundred. Not good for long term. He'l delay the chance of many new youngsters which will come in coming months. He is mediocore and not a future prospect in any means.

Just woke up to check the score, looks like we're copping a hiding. What's the record for a 2nd wicket partnership?

this is the perfect time to be batting... flat track, no top rate spinner in the opposition and the fast bowlers are bowling like crap. sehwag perhaps missed out on the best chance ever. these conditions are a batsman dream.

Indias highest was with gavaskar and vern something guy who made about 364 against west indies in kolkata.

Aussies are down and out for the count. Rubbish team. Making murali vijay look like a legend !!!

You select a rubbish team, you pay the price. While domestic Cricket and quality domestic cricket is important but there at times is no substitute for quality players.

Loving the Indian batsmen squeezing the lifeblood of the Aussies - keep on choking them boys!!!!!! India all the way!!!!
