there is no possible way either ponting or hayden will get out after getting out to such a good start.

well obviously. You can only get out once in cricket......no second chances mate. This isn't some backstreet galli in Bahawalpur where the biggest kid gets as many chances as he wants.

Haydunce gone for 41, bowled by Collywobble

:91: According to him, everyone in the English team reverses it including the toilet cleaners....

Botham raving on about Collywobble's ability to reverse the ball...

116/2 off 27. These 2 just happy to take the singles for now.

132 needed at 5.74 RPO

4 to fine leg for Ponting. First boundary for some overs. Australia in control here.

Mahmood getting punished. 11 runs off the over so far.

Botham having a rant now about England's fielding. 2-197.

51 from 70 needed to win. Another misfield inside the circle.

give us a century Ponting. He is on 85
Aus 200-2 - need 48 from 62 balls @ 4.6 an over

WICKET Ponting gone run out for 86, OZ 3-201.

My prediction is looking bang-on now. :19:

(7 wickets or 100 runs it was)

LOL what drama from Pietersen, nearly took a stunner at the rope but had to throw it back in as he wasn't in control of his body.

KP should audition for Dancing with the Stars...

666666666666666 for Symmo through long off.

ENGLAND - can either ascend or descend to any level in order to compete, but rarely good enough to win.

29 off 42. Mahmood back to try and take some wickets.

Geez this Mahmood is hopeless. He's a buffet bowler of the highest calibre.

4444444444 for Symmo, 12 from 28 needed. Mahmood getting hammered.

Now Mahmood spraying the wides around.

444444444444 for Symmo and that's the end of the match, 7 wicket win.

congrats to Aussies.. truly unbeatable now

England is 'probably' out of WC.

P.S: Why is Mahmud in England's team :))

Ponting and Clarke generally ran very well between the wickets and thus ensured that the run rate required remained fairly modest, with wickets in hand.

That is one area that Pakistan has to look at. They don't run those singles as well and so the scoring can stagnate under pressure as it did in the match against the West Indies.

Running between the wickets in an under-valued skill in Pakistan cricket.

Good win for AUS...Vaughan had a chance to run out Ponting but he missed and it eventually cost ENG the match

Running between the wickets for singles is the most fundamental aspect of batting. Before you learn to play your shots, you learn to run off deflections in the u-9s. Running between the wickets, in addition to keeping the scoreboard ticking, gives the batsmen confidence and puts pressure on the fielding side. You need to be physically fit and in good shape to constantly steal those ones and turn the ones into twos and the twos into threes.

The problem with Pakistan cricket is that far too many players reach international cricket without knowing the fundamentals about running between the wickets. The best time to learn most things in cricket is when you are between 8-19. When your into your 20s, you become set in your ways and it is hard to change.

That should be an indication to the PCB that they need to reform the structure and concentrate on coaching at lower levels. There is too much spoken about the national coach and not enough about coaching where it really matters - at the lower levels.

I agree but when Pakistan players run there are run outs. The running went down a bit when they started getting one or two every match and some of them are just too silly. I guess they got too cautious
