virat is losing his patience at the crunch moment his wicket means india will lose the opportunity to draw the match

this partnership should atleast go past 200 india still 150 away from having any possibility of drawing the match

Blaming Haddin for that

Me too. The slips don't look well-positioned to me - which is very unAustralian - and this seems to be because Smith isn't putting enough blokes in the slip cordon.

Home Tests are always unusual in Australia because the Kookaburra ball is such a dud after it reaches 20 overs. No seam, no swing and more overspin than lateral spin.

But it means that the skipper needs to go for broke during those 20 overs with the new cherry. Only two slips seems ridiculous to me, and it led to Watto and Smith being too far away from Haddin, with too much of a gap in between.

Always thought Pujara and Kohli would be batting pillars for us going forward but it's Kohli and Rahane shining for us abroad

Seems like Mithun has broken his laptop after seeing that manhoos gaana ad :))

Well played Rahane :applause Mumbai always keeps producing quality batsmen ;)

Kohli is rattled. Expecting him to fall before century.. He will repent for falling apart this innings. Such an immense opportunity

kv: "That makes 3 centuries and 6 half-centuries for Rahane since Johannesberg last December. All scored abroad. "

heres some stat for u guys sachin has never scored 3 hundreds in a single series home or away virat very close to go above him

why does Hazlewood always look like he's about to pull a prank on someone

always has a weird cheeky expression on his face

achieved what sachin never sachin never achieved in his 24 year career to score 3 100s in a series

I have stayed up to watch India's batting three times this tour and all three times Kohli has scored a century.

Not happy with the way Pujara has progressed. He seems to have taken his place in the team for granted.

When the balance between bat and ball is so totally in favour of the batting side that Ryan Harris scores 74 you know that the pitch has taken the "Test" out of Test cricket.

Disgraceful.

So next time you blame Indian bowlers as being bad, you will be a hypocrite because-----flat pitches?

Yaar India is losing 2-0, let them have at least a god session, kyon apna dil jalate ho? They are likely to lose this match too, so enjoy

Unfortunately in Sachin's prime India used to play 2 match series and at max 3. Anyways, here's hoping Virat breaks lots of other plus all of Sachin's records too

Schadenfreude. . This guy has been crying for some time here

he played 1 5 test series in and 3 4 test match series in australia sachin never notched up 500 in a single series either he was never that kind of batsman Kallis ponting used to score runs in bulk

He has a technical problem outside off-stump which was exposed in England.

Bowlers are all aware of it now and are targeting it. And it's one of the hardest problems in cricket to fix - otherwise the Professor would have fixed his much worse case of it long ago!

To be fair to Sachin, he never got such easy pitches in Australia as the puddings which we've seen for the last 3 Tests.

virat had the same problem he still got that problem but australia conditions are very different from english conditions so he has not be tasted against the swinging ball

Vijay, Kohli and Rahane are top class batsmen and Dhawan and Pujara are very good too.

There are similarities with the Indian tours of 2003-04 and 2007-8 (but not 2011-12, when Tendulkar et al were past their best).

We are seeing how far an international team can go on the back of a very good batting line-up even though the bowling is poor. To be honest, if they'd arrived early enough and been mentally tougher they should have drawn the first two Tests too.

I'm sure he got some roads in home but never scored 3 centuries in a series or twin centuries dravid notched up 3 test 100 in england twice

200 run partnership this pair has done their job now lower need to contribute
