I hate Sanjay Manjrekar, never appreciates efforts of Indian batsmen. He has inferiority complex.
So how is the Great Peter Siddle bowling? Is he trundleriffic again?
Might need to change my avatar.
Good batting from the young Indians but they need to go on and make big hundreds like ours did. All conditions for batting from this day onwards in this series are going to be harder than today.
Then get seam movement , Home conditions should be exploited.
If we get draws in Australia , it is disappointing. Australia / England / SA are places known for bowlers dominating and results.
You're calling it a draw this early?
Come on mate this must'n't have been your first Test match you saw in Adelaide. There have been results here even though both teams posted 500+ in first innings.
Also the curators in Australia are responsible for pitch preparation. And Adelaide has hardly been a wicket that seams throughout its history. It will spin later in the match but you have to bat well and bowl well to get a result here.

now the real batsman comes in![]()

I mentioned in the above posts , that if there some changes on the surface on last couple of days then result is possible.
If the pitch starts doing something , then obviously result is possible
Is Lyon the new Mooen bhai?
India looking ordinary against spin of late.
Sachin, Dravid, Sehwag and Azharuddin will not be impressed.![]()
lyon is actually bowling well, supported by the pitch, big rough in the right place

Adelaide usually starts really flat but then deteriorate in quick time. I just don't understand why teams keep declaring their 1st innings time after time here. Even 450-500 is not really a safe score here.

It's a typical Lyon wicket - little spin but lots of bounce.
the so called test spinner can slog a bit
Karn Sharma? Is he as good as Ashwin with the bat?
He's getting decent spin out there. More than any thing tho seems to have his line, length and pace spot on.
It's because of time usually. Declare on Day 2, bowl them out Day 3 1/2, that leaves 5 sessions for a result.

I don't understand how he can bowl so well in the off spinners graveyard but bowl utter trash on a spinning track.
I think he relies more on bounce to get wickets.

I'm watching and he's indeed bowling well, but Rahane was stuck at the crease.

Kohli has slowed down since the Rahane wicket but it's probably for the greater good with just 17 overs to go.
