You mentioned Salman butt. Full stop for Me. No way he will ever be a Captain again Ever. Azhar is the best man to lead.

i have an inner feeling that pak will do well in next 2 games...we are not taht bad as it looks in day night test.

But we agree.

I don't want Butt to lead either.

I want a new skipper in the 22-25 age range.

So Sarfraz as a stopgap, than Sami Aslam or Babar Azam.

I would get Yasir Shah and Mohammad Amir padded up.

No way would I expose the two old men under lights. Or Sarfraz. Or Shafiq.

Boss, please don't mention about "earning leadership", and than our Butt son. Sarfu is not spring chicken either - besides he is WK of a struggling fielding unit & has a nice tummy to carry.

I don't see anyone - almost hope less case. If he can manage his bowling, I'll make MoHa for a year (WI, BD, UAE season - before he runs to SAF) & make Amir deputy. PAK needs a bowler as Captain - only 2 has any future, one went for few dollars more & other one swallowed wife pill.

From business point of view - between corrupt & buffoon, I'll take corrupt as my Captain & buffoon as my friend. :(

All that zig zag that you see from Sarfy will evaporate if he is to concentrate for 5 days - and then if he is to do that with this match like situation - he'll give the biggest dhoka in his life. Make someone Captain who can relax on field, and that's not batsman - not everyone is Ian Chappel. Appointing batsman as Captain makes them defensive, because if they fail with bat, they get stressed & it takes one ball for batsman to fail. A bowler Captain can go for 25 in 3 overs, but he can take time, relax his nerves & come back an hour later for 6-1-17-2 spell. If he is all-rounder, even better.
 
Should Pakistan send a night watchmen, if we lose a wicket here. I hope not I hope these 2 scores 100s.

I'll take Asad - Amir & Yasir can bat for few overs later, no point sacrificing them. If it's 15 minutes, may be YK is the best bet - the length Aussies are bowling most will fly over the bails, while not sure YK has eyes to see & nick it .......

PAK actually has batted well 2nd time so far - yesterday, first 25 overs cost 6 wickets.
 
Azhar Ali shd face more of Lyon tonight and let babar play fastmen.

He bowled incredibly, it's impossible to describe in words because the English language is incapable of conveying the majesty of Rahat.

Australia wanted to set us a target of 600 but they had to declare during the dinner break because the batsmen refused to go back out and face the wrath of Rahat :rahat
 
Not impressed at all - unless ICC solves Pink ball issue, don't want D/N Test yet. This will create lots of controversy & teams will start to manipulate with the Pink ball.

Very good question - he bowled indeed, though he himself wasn't sure if he was to play cricket or sing Gazal at Gabba while he was bating. Bowled far better than that for sure.
 
It should have been a 4 match series. Pakistan are slow starters especially against Australia in Australia we play after 4 years which is ridiculous. PCB must ask ACB to play us every 2 years. Only SA has been a team that have beaten Australia lately, others have struggled big time.
 
Younis should be okay with Lyon.

It's pace and bounce which old batsmen struggle with.
 
Babar needs to improve his game against spin tbh. Always looks a bit shaky against spin.
 
What have you done Azhar - YK is on pair, 3 more balls & he could have got a full over from Lyon .......
 
Should Babar be batting at no.3.. If younis khan is not manning enough then asad shafiq is the best man to be there. Babar is young and pressure is showing on him.
 
Bear in mind, it's the least fast, least bouncy Gabba track that most of us have ever seen.

I think, few years back against SAF, they managed to produce one almost made at Gaddafi, than Gabba...

Didn't hear you crying after his 90 in New Zealand. Remember you bashing Babar and criticising his selection in ODIs after the England tour. Didn't hear the same after the West Indies tour.

Yaar he isnt a 1 down player, he is no.5 player where he wont feel added pressure on him, not easy under light and lyon has great figures here on this ground. Misbah or Shafiq should come 1 down.
 
Aussies will take a better attack to India this time for sure. Last time, their pacers were going every corner, but Josh can maintain 2.5 economy for 25 overs.

Should go for the win, we can do it. Australian bowling attack is overrated. These two shouldn't be afraid. If they play confidently, we can win it, still a lot of time remaining in this Test match.
 
That is called giving good run for the man, that the way azhar that's the way, just made these arrogant aussies chase the leather.
