If Australia are 300/6 then we are back in the game, if Australia are 300/4 then a Pakistani win seems to be going out of the equation

Not much batting left after Smith and Khawaja, so while the situation is precarious and looks like Pakistan will be chasing the game - half an hour of magic at the start of the day could see them regaining hold of the match. However, even so, it will be difficult to force a result from the third innings even if they manage a slender lead with not many overs left in the match and needing to score briskly to effect a victory.
 
I hope Yasir becomes ziddi and asks Misbah for an offside field.

Sir last time we let the 10th wicket partnership to stretch to 50 odd runs which in the end was the difference between the two sides.

Do not under estimate any one of the opposition's batsmen, or over-estimate our bowler's ability to get rid off them.
 
Thunderstorms are forecast for the afternoon.

We may have 1 full session till lunch.

That'll be the best result for Pakistan. I fear that Aussies will come very close to the Pak first innings score and then either declare or be bowled out. Pakistan will then stride to bat and suffer one of their frequent batting collapses and be shot out for 100-120, allowing Australia to easily win the match.
 
Smith seems to have adjusted his bat lift slightly. Not as high as it once was.

Stuck on 90s for so long took it toll
 
Bowling is good this morning but Aussies showing lot of patience, and there is the reward for bowling some decent overs on the trott, but still it will be almost impossible to make up for yesterday's mess. Just like last test even 450 fourth inning couldn't make up for thame shameful 68/8, but let's hope there is some different script this time.

This is aussies line up is very vulnerable, just need to keep hitting the good length and keep patience.
 
Wahab on it again, only if he was consistant he could have been ended up as very good 1st change bowler, but something are never meant to be.
 
Seems like the bowlers had a rocket from Arthur after yesterday.

This is a poor over though. On a flat pitch where the ball sits up nicely you can't be giving freebies. Control the rate and we can build pressure that leads to wicket-taking chances.

Smith and Handscomb put on a big partnership at the Gabba, can't be letting these two get on top of the bowling again.
 
After a couple of good overs, they have gone back to default which is to leak runs

Use your brain bruv, he was moving players to leg slip and out for the hook for the last ball to see if they could make Handscomb think about the bouncer and bluff him with the ball that was pitched up.
 
Don't understand why Spinner not given enough close fielder for Yasir only then yasir will take wickets and can put pressure.

Why do you need to put someone out for the hook shot when he beat handscombe bat 3 times in an over?

The funny thing is its basic captaincy all he has to do is put the field in place and Amir will do the rest.

I am really frustrated by Misbah's Captainacy this tour. He does not know how to use fast bowlers, defensive as hell, he can make 4 WI quicks of 80s rubish. How quickly he takes away all catchers 👺👺👺

He must go if Pakistan has to move forward, we can never bring back fast bowling brand if we have Captain like him. This effects the whole culture, LOIs is way down thanks to same tank. He is never really focused on taking wickets. He has also made mockery of Yasir Shah, what the he'll he was ordered to bowl from very first ball in GABBA 🙄🙄🙄
 
Misbah is now scared to lose this Game. Then did you declared Misbah, should have scored 550.

Now he is worried... I rather give away 140 runs and bag 5 wickets and try to win the match.

It's to make the batsman think you might bowl a bouncer, so he doesn't get too forward and you might find the edge now that he's stuck in his crease. People try it all the time.

Warne is famous for chatting complete nonsense, especially once he's created a narrative in his head. (See him and Botham whinging for ages about Cook having a fielder out at third man against New Zealand a couple of years ago, only to be shut up when that fielder took the match winning catch).

Warne's decided to place the blame on Yasir's poor bowling on Misbah because obviously, Yasir can't be at fault because Warne himself worked with him. Watch now, if Yasir sprays the ball everywhere and goes for runs he'll start blaming the captain again.
