63 runs were scored in 63 deliveries in the partnership between malik and babar and by default the next partnership should have gone at the equal rate if not brisk but the next partnership came at 5 runs per ove rin 12 overs. Pakistan lost all its momentum in these overs where babar azam was trying to get quick runs whereas akmal on the other end hell bent on sucking some.

It doesn't matter how well a bowler bowls, if he bowls a no-ball at a crucial point in the game which ultimately costs Pakistan the match, he should be mercilessly removed from the team. This will send a clear message to all the bowlers:

I nvr rated him as a captain let alone a chief selector. The guy doesn't hv much cricketing acumen. He was only good at batting probably our best but never a good mind.

Imad should bowl a lot quicker and pitch it up, pitching it very short and the bounce of the pitch is giving the ball a good carry apart from other pitches which will give him a very low bounce.. Inexperience is speaking at the moment...

yes, i didnt saw the match so I am not in position to comment on his batting.. but truly 100 in 20overs was abysmal. but we cannot justify babar's batting with others fault. we cant be relative in batting and compare #3 and #6,7 and 8. Also babar is known to be strokemaker. which doesnt seem to be the case here. is he in too much pressure to score or is he finding his feet. dont know. I am critical of babar because in the start with sharjeel he was slow too.

280-300 appears to be bare minimum batting first on this wicket

Couple of batsman have made a permanent spot, only weak thing now is the lower order hitting. Need to bring in two lower order hitters in the next tour for ODI's, can't go wrong without trying at least.

Hafeez gives his wicket away early on in every innings, Sharjeel is a good striker of the ball but he looks the most brainless power hitter in the world (unaware of every match and ball-by-ball situation), Shafiq has learned nothing in ODI cricket despite a promising technique, Umar Akmal has learned nothing since his first ever appearance, Rizwan is clearly a very limited talent and offers nothing with the bat while Imad continuously gets out right when he tries to push the scoring rate. He wants to hit big but by inlarge he can't pull it off.

Basically our best bet is to coach Sharjeel to defend and maintain his wicket at certain times. We need him to convert his good knocks into big scores. Everything else will stay flawed with the poverty of our set up.

On this track 300+ is a good total batting first..
We set it up nicely, but failed to capitalise in the last 10 overs.
I did think 260 would be enough but clearly it was not, Australia just cruised to the target easily even after a decent first spell of bowling..

We were 30-40 runs short! Maybe it would've been a different story if we took the catch, or the wicket dint fall on a no-ball..
Anyways it was a textbook chase by Australia.

Need hitters of the ball if we are planning to pace our innings like today (keep 100 runs for last 10 overs), if not all the batsmen need to convert the singles to doubles & up the aggression.

Also captaincy today by Hafeez was poor! Field placement was below average, he bowled Amir 7 overs at the start (yes, i know Amir did well) but amir was needed to break partnerships, we just let the spinners bowl & relax as Australia scored easy runs.
