Hyped about this game. Epic match up and pitch. Raw pace from both sides...

Can drown the pain from the Pak v WI slugfest and potential defeat with this. :sree :akhtar

Shocking. They're playing some weird spinner as their number 11

Two non-white spinners at the world's fastest, bounciest ground but the bounciest bowler is dropped for being white.

And with only three quicks, longer spells will sap away the pace from Rabada and Steyn.

Now we know why Mitch Marsh is in the team.

Specialist fielder

Wow... This is beautiful after watching so much cricket on UAE tracks. Excellent bounce and carry. Good catch

4 balls in and I bet the South Africans are regretting not playing Morkel on this surface

I thought this was the day night test but it looks like a red ball, when is the day nighter??

Hazlewood is one of the most underrated bowlers in the world

Adelaide

Perth will never be a day/nighter because the final session is already prime time in Sydney and Melbourne

Interesting, there is probably a time difference, I'm not too good with my Australian geography:razzaq

Because I remember the ODIs used to start at 10:30 our time.

During summer Perth is three hours behind Melbourne and Sydney

Sky sports isn't showing the matches anymore?
Can any one pls tell me witch channel is broadcasting the series?

18 - Number of batsmen Mitchell Starc has dismissed for a duck in his career. 8 of those were openers
19 - Number of wickets Starc has taken in the first over of a innings since Jan 2015 across all formats. Dawlat Zadran is next with 7 wickets.

Its a good toss to lose for AUS

Its seems like SA will be bowled out before stumps then it'll flatten out for day 2 and 3

Legend in making. Did this guy even get injured lol?

But on the real though, I think SAF have a very weak top order, I'd consider bringing in another keeper and letting QdK be a specialist bat at the top of the order. Being kept for too late.

32/4

Get Faf now and it would be over before tea. Duminy is one of the most useless top order batter who has played for such a long time in a prominent test team

And people actually thought SAF had a chance here? OZ are too damn good at home and i think even their bowling attack is superior.

Beautiful on drive. Faf looking good. Don't know why he didnt come to bat at 4

These 2 playing well. Aussie attack isnt that great apart from Starc and Hazlewood.

I wouldve never played Philander over Morkel over here.

I guess it's because Morkel got spanked in the warm up.

Good line/length will give you more on any pitch over wayward erratic bowling, doesn't matter how bouncy it is. If Morkel was in form it'd be a different story.

Also at this stage looks like SAF could've used the extra batsman, so good move on choosing Philly.

Brother Keshav is gonna get the phainty of his life here. Should've played Morne But then again SA have their quotas to fill

Two finger spinners in the South African lineup in a WACA Test match

Mate they haven't made a true WACA wicket in decades

I'm not talking about the 80s WACA. Personally I believe the bounce of the previous WACA wicket is exaggerated. There wouldn't be a great difference in comparison to this.

You'd be wrong.

This is just what they normally serve up for shield games.

Shield wickets are better than your test wickets, no?

I've seen videos of the 70s/80s WACA, the bounce is comparable.

Disagree.

You are right that the wicket has a good chance of being better tomorrow because of the heat.

Brother Amla already done goofed. :amla

Think this is Aussie way of sending India a message. :moyo
