I have a dream, that one day will England will field XI English cricketers :)

Good match going on but I'd reckon Poms will win this, first one of the tour.

A Bangladeshi will play for England before that day comes :))

Given the massive population of BDeshis in England thats its more than likely to happen in the future.

A Lankan player is needed as well, and we might actually have a World XI.

Pretty embarrassing to get out to a part time pie thrower

Typical Marsh.

Generally likes like an A grade batsmen yet gets out in the most appauling ways

I've seen Shaun Marsh play a perfect 80 in a shield match. Every shot was sublime in difficult conditions.

And then he left a 120km straight delivery which hit his pad and got him plumb lbw.

Going to be a pretty big defeat I think. Time to go to bed, its 4am here

I miss being in Sydney and watching the cricket at a decent hour :(

Don't people get bored of countless Aus-Eng ODIs? because these 2 have always been playing eachother in these series from 09, 10, 11, 12, 13 and yes even this year 14 :))

No wonder Cricket is at a low level today. Yawn.

So yet again Haddo has to save the OZ lol

Target still achievable but both maxwell and haddin have to put up something special !

Australia should win this.

Faulkner, Mitch and Coulter-Nile still to come.

When we look at the runs off deliveries, it seems like OZ will get there with ease. Too many wickets have been lost although.

With Nathan now gone, I guess it's curtains for Australia, unless ofcourse one of English bowlers does an Ishant ;-)

Damn, this Aussie batting goes down way till 11. It wouldn't be far fetched to put them as prime favorites for the 2015 Wcup.

lol Ishant shamra must be watching keenly haha.. you can't put the blame on me

A.Cook is pure rubbish at captain.

End of the 49th over, bring the field in stop the single, if it goes for four, no problem you have McKay on strike.

but what does he do spread the field for easy single!

Cook should be stripped off captaincy with immediate effect. The guy will give SRT a run for money when it comes to captaincy

Great pressure knock from Faulkner. The clean sweep is still on. Rubbish bowling from Stokes and Bresnan in those last couple of overs.

People need to read Brearley's book on Captaincy.

Cook does everything wrong.

And they need to make up their mind about KP. Either get rid of him and send him now or play him.

That's why you need bowlers whom can bat. Awesome by Faulkner and co yet again.

The guy allows Faulkner a single on the last ball, so that he has entire over to finish off the game?

And can please anyone tell me why would you drop your best batsman from the series, when the next WC is gonna be played at the very place in about an year's time?

Farken unbelievable. That's definitely a memorable game. To chase down 300 with 53 still to go with 9 wickets down and not a lot of balls left is craaazzzzyyy

Unbelievable. Faulkner batted like a God. you wont see better hitting, better finishing under pressure like this, as good as it gets.

Gotta love Faulkner, man I would love to see us play this Aussie team. It would be an awesome series, hopefully not too many pancakes though.

:))) englands best chance to win a game against Australia all series and they choke.

It seems england have no mental strength what so ever right now

Well done Australia on a brilliant run chase, faulker kept his nerve and played a gem of an inns.

Haha ECB got owned there

Cant believe England didn't bowl wide of off, Faulkner loves it legside and they kept feeding him.

This will really hurt Alastair Cook. This was their best chance all series and the OZ snatched it away right at the death after giving the Pommies some hope :D

Surely thats it for Cook the guy is a complete dunce when it comes to captaining.

Almost felt sorry for the poms tonight, they were going absolutely nuts when they took those wickets near the end, even though it's just a one dayer this game clearly meant the world to them.

Cook must be at breaking point.

Amazing how quickly the one day game is changing, even 5 years ago i think the batting side would have been looking towards game 3 when they were 8 down, 300 just isn't the challenge it used to be not when teams have these tailenders who can score 50+ at a good clip.

Only a lunatic would rest KP for the entire series, when the next WC is scheduled at the same place in near future. Ok rest him for half the games, but why full series?

His career is over.

He would have been under the spot light again, imagine if he was part of this defeat and he was one of the players that didn't perform...

Imo Cook shouldn't be playing ODI's anyway, Root is out of form and England should probably drop him for the next few games.

Why was not rankin not bowled in the final overs?

And yet, they were #1 on the ICC ODI ladder on his watch.

I am convinced that Flower and Saker are the problems, not Cook.

Not having Finn, Broad and Swann is hurting England in ODIs.

Are Flower and Saker the ones who set the fields for the last 2 overs and told the bowlers to keep bowling into Faulkners zone? A simple keep it wide outside of off could have done wonders..

Read Brearley's book on Captaincy.

Cook is a Ponting tier Captain. Ponting won two World Cups- doesn't make him a good captain.

I'm not focusing in on two overs, I'm standing back and looking at the whole of Team England.
