Australia's game to lose.. really. No team should ever lose from a situation where you've bowled out the opposition for 190 odd on a flat track.

Even Pattinson opened the bowling for Australia, I think what the captains were looking for were the fire and hunger for wickets which was seen in young Pat's firework and maybe Dhoni saw the same in Yadav and decided to go for it. Ishant didn't bowl badly but some of his balls were way too wide to be honest while Umesh pitched it up and his short balls troubled Punter and Cowan and attacked the body
siddle is seen as the third seamer, that's his job and what Australia think he'll be best at. Has bowled third seamer plenty of times in the past.

Sharma on the other hand wasn't really seen as a third seamer, he's supposed to be the opening partner with Zaheer. He's just been replaced as Yadav thought he was better. And Dhoni made that change one test into an important series against Australia where Inshant was initially picked to be an opening bowler, bowling with Zaheer in the first innings of the first test. Pattinson started off the opening the bowling in the first test anyway.

This is the KEY little 10 overs here, If Aussies do not loose another, they would feel better.

As usual india is throwing away the advantage
you never have an advatange defending 190 first innings on a pitch relatively good for batsmen. Even if you've got them 40/3, all they need is one batsmen to stand up and tail to wag and they'll reach that total round abouts. You have to get every one of those batsmen out cheaply.

I am wondering what will happen to India's bowling attack after Zaheer is gone, he's the main reason for India's number 1 ranking. Umesh looks good and Ashwin is talented but Zaheer is Zaheer

Zaheer bowls very well to left handers, hardly seen any left handers playing him comfortably

that's the short ball and pulled, i thought saurav had a heart attack the way he screamed

Saurav screaming doesn't sound too nice :yk

they need to cut down runs from the other end and have zaheer bowl from the other .

Again bowling to the pads.

Ishant has dismissed clarke 7 times, common one more time boy!

I guess Aussies have been bowling too many bad balls to :sachin

:sachin is doing well. He isn't getting any support. Every time he comes onto the crease,he's positive and gets a good start but wkts are falling around him which disturbs everything.

He's doing fine in this series. Scores of 73,32,41. All good starts. No1 supporting him.

Since he's sachin,even 41 looks like a failure.

England batting > both combined. Goddamn these top orders suck.

After Gooch became the coach, Cook and other players are willing to convert their hundreds into daddy hundreds, Bell, KP etc followed Cook. England has a tall batting order, probably the best in the world at the moment.

What has happened to Sehwag. I thought he did hair planting, he was losing hair in the front, now he has hair in the front but lost all in the middle. :rana

Wasim is a very poor commentator.

Terrific player,gr8 knowledge bout the game. Sultan of Swing as they say. But his english is limited and he repeats the same things during commentary.

:akhtar

totally agree...there is something else he is really good at..i wont say what..i think you knowwhat i mean:):):)

India bowled well today, if they get two early wickets then will be into the tail, need to get punter and clarke out early morning for 20 odd runs. Tail starts with Haddin, keep Hussey off strike and let Zaheer :wasim bowl at Haddin, match over! :)

Sewag and gambo needs to give a good start this time

Ur from..? Bangladesh/Pakistan/England?

K. Anyways, losing all interest in cricket. For how long will we see such poor batting from the Indians.

And this is a surprise. Batting which has always done well for us is letting us down again and again.

lulz we have had it worse and we are still around :azhar you give up too easily bro

expecting Aussies to collapse tomorrow, and then up to India to bat properly and make a game of it.

loooooooooong way to go just yet. :khawaja

Yes,I have. So many runs under the belt and still how can you expect the big guns to make mistakes again and again.

Laxman,Dravid-Not the 1st time they are touring Australia.

They destroyed them in 2004. Laxman has always been good here.

Anyways.

Abhinav , you make me want to appreciate the dheet Pakistani fans more

do you want me throw stats back at you to show how 'ungreatly' Pattinson's stats are to other 'greats' of the past????

come on man...i am not debating his stats or how productive he has been...i am loving what he is doing to India :P

I am purely talking from what i am seeing on the screen...he is very raw at this point...his height is def an asset...i just don't think he is as unplayable as 'the stats' are making him seem like...

Amir could make the ball talk with his eyes closed...it wasn't just only about line and length...he could move the ball in whatever direction he wanted...and Amir still younger and more rawer than Pattinson...not to say Pat won't eventually get there...but i just haven't seen enough...playing in favorable 'home' conditions isn't the best judge of talent now is it...especially when you are bowling to mostly flat track bullies

And he fixed with his eyes closed too....
Amir will be remembered as a corrupt cricketer not a great bowler.
No comparision.

Well said I have no sympathy for traitors like him. Look at the Pakistan side now without traitors they are winning everything and under a well educated leader :misbah is leading like :imran

Once you go corrupted you never go right! There is a saying :odoyo

Look at :asif first caught with drugs then match fixing, even if :amir comes back I know he will do it again. Don't trust him.

Sachin should play his game, remember what Clarke did in South Africa, he was in flow and he kept hitting them regardless of the fact that others around him kept getting out. Its no excuse!

India fail to score 300+ away for 11th time in a row. Feels like the 90s again!....can't see them winning any game in this series with this form and ability, barring a miracle.

Exactly. Reminding me of the old days of 90s.

We progressed so much from dere on in. Had terrific yrs under Saurav and Dhoni till 2010. 2011 Tests-Disaster.

2012 started off badly as well.

India need 2/3 early wickets tomorrow to get back into this test Match. Aussies should be looking for a 100-150 lead with clarke and a few others getting big 100s.

I think India need to come out and try and go for the jugular in the 1st session, Dhoni needs to set aggresive fields and his bowlers need to support him by bowling in the right areas.

Not a bad knock. Got to the SCG in the arvo to watch a bit of it too! Ponting and Clarke looked very good at the end, hopefully they go on with it and we grind India into the SCG dirt.

Ponting would like to thank the Indian bowlers for getting him back into form..
