What's new

Babar (61*) takes Pakistan to 107/2 after Abrar’s 7-114 helps restrict England to 281 all out

Abrar has created enough chances and that's his debut.

It isn't exactly a fast turner of the kind we get in Ind and Bd.

Wicket but it. don't matters. with England approach, they will most likely go even harder now.

Sweep is one of the riskiest shot you can play on a turning wicket. It is a miracle he connected this many balls

Phattu Aleem Daar. Got shook up by that DRS reversal.

He might be effective and making runs when in good form, but Duckett will struggle to carry forward this kind of batting in international cricket. Sweeps everything regardless of length :))

Someone needs to question Saqlain, Tait, Yousaf as to what planning they have done for Ducket. It is unacceptable for him to be flawlessly sweeping our spinners left right and center all over the place for ten consecutive matches in a row.

Only 19 over bowled and there is turn already but if they have Bowl correct length

Not sure what Zahid expects to do bowling this full to every other batter. Easy pickings, garbage bowler to say the least.

Either he pitches it too short or too full. First class stats do not lie zahid is very poor

LoL zahid mahmood's figures so far 4 overs 33 runs 0 wickets
These stats are bad even in t20is.
He is the biggest joke.

Not a raging bunsen burner then; but a useful bit of slow turn, some keeping low, and eventually a ball could have a batsman’s name on it. The pitch will likely deteriorate as well. So I think England’s strategy to score fast here is the right one. Get runs on the board quickly.

Zahid needs to develop a googly and a flipper. He is too predictable with his leg spinners at the moment.

This wicket dictates that you bowl straight and Abrar literally does just that with speed variation. Sweeping/reversing him all the time is not the best choice. Need to hit him straight .

Pakistan batting is not exactly a great side against spin especially the current one. Nobody has the class of Younis Khan.

I don't think these guys are not very good at that.

Agree.

132/2 after 21.5 overs in a test match.

The last time Pakistan had this kind of thing happening to them, they were facing India and Sehwag in the 2000s.

Shadab with one leg is better spinner than this garbage zahid

Jack leach is rubbish though

True. But when under pressure rubbish bowlers are the ones that look dangerous. Because they don't have too many have variations. They just will bowl same stuff over and over which is what they would need.

Root will camp on his foot and play everything on backfoot. if you toss up he will use his height to drive. Very tough batsman to bowl to once he finds his touch. You have to nail Root early. once he is set he is very hard to dismiss

This reflects PCB is so corrupt that they haven't done anything to make international level pitches where both the teams can have even chances.

That's how England are playing nowadays.
Remember india vs eng in Birmingham earlier in the year. England chased down 380 in 70 odd overs against the best ever pace bowling attack.
Don't think we had seen something like that before

145/2 in 24 overs. Would have been 175/1 in 24 overs if Naseem was playing.

What the hell is wrong with Dar? Is he trying to compensate by giving decisions against Pakistan so he doesn't look biased???

How was that given not out?

Dar is having a stinker.

Has Aleem Dar regressed as an umpire or he is simply in awe of this England team and thinks they simply cannot be out?

Better could have played even Imad Wasim instead of this fraud Zahid Mehmood
