I think, Shafiul was picked considering dew factor in ODI. In Test, there are not much option - but I would have played one more batsman instead of 2nd pacer.

BTW, I don't ever really hype our players. Didn't hype Soumya, Litton, Anamul that much, but this kid Mehedi Hasan Miraz is surely one for the future.

He is a classical middle order batsman(need to gain some muscles with age), a quality off-spinner. And he was the man of the tournament in the U-19 Cricket world cup. If Miraz comes good, which I am confident about given his immense maturity at such age, he and Shakib will make for a formidable combo in the middle order batting(Miraz is a more classical bat whereas Shakib has technical flaws yet effective).

However, two quality genuine allrounder would allow mean Bangladesh never have to bowl a part timer especially in LoIs and always have batting till no. 8 atleast(though more is an overkill). I am really excited about Miraz.

Miraz's delivery to Ballance was quick and short, making it lethal.

Yes, playing in roads never develops players.

I am fine with with losing 8 matches and winning 2 against top teams, instead of drawing 8 and losing 2. Pitches in Bangladesh were flat till April last year, ever since that, the pitches for tests against SA, India and now England has been very sporty which is good signs.

I don't mind losing this test, but I do mind seeing teams scoring 300-4 against us in 4 sessons.
