What's new

Bangladesh v England | 1st Test | Chittagong | Oct 20-24, 2016 | Day 1

reckon england's tail will wag a bit and bangla will choke a bit batting, even though they should really play rashid and moeen with relative ease. batting first is big too. tipping eng in a closely fought one

Too early to say anything. The pitch was gripping quite a bit. Good action, seam presentation isn't great, decent revolutions, possesses a bowling brain.

Why do some spinners give off the feeling that there is more life in their bowling and some spinners don't?

I watch Shakib bowling and I can see an international spinner in him....I see this guy and while he is accurate and good, I don't get the vibe. Feel he just releases the ball like so many other domestic bowlers.

For example...when Vinay Kumar bowls, I feel the ball has no life...but when Ishant bowls, I feel the ball has some life.

Not that I am comparing this offie with Vinay Kumar or anything but what is the phenomena called?

Hmmmm

So England didn't play that great then.

Why no Jimmy Anderson? or even Finn?

Nevermind... Anderson is injured and will even be out for the first test against India... ouch for England.

Energy exerted at the crease. If a bowler's action is strong and lively, naturally you'd expect the ball to have some life.

If things continue this way Bairstow will end up as GOAT English batsman

England on top, everything depends on Imrul Lata, this bolod needs to score a triple century.

he is an 18 year old kid who is 5'6. What do you expect :))

300 will be a good total if Eng gets there.

Nicely made a comeback thanks to the depth in batting.

Moen and Woakes are really frustrating batsmen down the order.
