The Misbah mentality strikes yet again. Playing for a draw on day three against Bangladesh? Surely even the most level-headed posters like Moiz and MIG can't compose a textual analysis that successfully defends this one!

Earth to Whippy, its Day THREE not FIVE.

@ Whippy, LOL, the game isn't even finished and knowing Bangladesh collapse isn't outta of the question, yet we have people slating Misbah. Slate him after the game if ends up a draw, until then chill.

Now Ramiz Raja responded to me on twitter lmao!

Ramiz wrote on Twitter: "Pak batting is excruciating to watch! If they bat like this against England they will be marginalised for sure. Where is class & intent?"

Me: @RamizSpeaks Your telling me! It's almost 2 am here in USA. Evrything you said in commentary box is spot on btw! Plz tell Pak managment! PLZ

Ramiz: @CptArsal go back to sleep pls take it from me it's not worth the sacrifice. I feel for u guys!

LMAO good advice yaar!

:))) :))) :)))

Ramiz is a beast :raja

Misbah is Aiming for staying 1000 minutes on crease & break Hanif Muhammad record.

Someone hasn't eaten their breakfast well, huh Whippy

The most idiotic post I've seen from you.

Yeah I know what day it is. You ought to rely the same message to Misbah, who has set out a day five strategy!

Haven't had any breakfast yet, and am particularly annoyed this morning by yet another gargantuan effort by this fraudulent man to derail the once fearless rollercoaster of Pakistan cricket. His strategies are said to work against average to crap teams (though today, not even that) but will be found out in crunch situations eventually!! (and were in Mohali). Idiot or not - I stick to my guns!

Umm Afridi was captain in Mohali.

Whippy, your "guns" were praising Misbah not to long ago. That's what makes your posts so crazy.

We can still lead by stumps if the required overs are bowled and a RR of 3 is maintained.

I'll give praise for getting the results, but if we're all honest with ourselves for a minute - a test each against Zimbabwe and New Zealand. Bangladesh on Wednesday - perhaps. One win against a Sri Lankan team without a win in fifteen (?) tests. Come on...

On the other hand we have a 1-1 in West Indies, a stalemate against South Africa in which neither team did anything of note, and one of the worst innings in World Cup history to blow apart Afridi's majestic campaign.

Misbah's tactics haven proven extremely fallible against genuine quality - from what I have seen England have nothing to be scared of. Misbah is a double-edged sword!!

Can't wait till Misbah vs England.

Hope he really gets under their skins. :D

Might bore a few of our players to death on his way to a 40 average, but he really isn't a match-winner. Umar Akmal is required immediately.

This.

True analysis by a neutral fan.

Yeah you're right
If we got any chance of Winning against ENG then Umar Akmal is required.

I'll agree with you there. Umar is required to improve Pakistan's chances of winning a match.

I think the plan is to get a 150-200 lead by the time pitch breaks down, then unleash Ajmal, Rehman and Hafeez

But you're complaining about this test in particular, when in fact it's day 3 and anything can happen. Knowing Bangladesh, nothings over till it's over, thus my bewilderment at your replies.

England should win the series without doubt, if they don't I won't be moaning.

We're going in the right direction even if some people are bored to death the way we play. I'll take that over exciting cricket and losing.

We totally dominated SL in that series, the same SL that loss 1-0 to Eng in England, thanks to a collapse.

We drew with SA in Misbah first steps in the Captaincy shoes, we beat NZ in NZ when we hadn't before. The Windies tour was poor by over standards in Tests. Other than that we're progressing nicely.

Most of our series was rained off! Statistically one of the dampest British summers on record. These are facts. If you saw the series you will have witnessed domination.

You had a full fifteen days and should have won yours at least 2-0. The tactics in the third test were terrible, with the infamous Misbah start (19 off 100 balls) a large factor in failing to close the deal.

I can already see above that constructive excuses for Misbah continue to diminish in relevance and abundance!

Pakistan need to start scoring quicker here, unless the plan is to bat all day tomorrow and then try and force a win on the last day. We will continue to lose overs due to the stupid fog in mirpur!

our failure to win 2 nil was because we did not execute in the FIELD in the 1st Test, dropped 6 catches, NOT the slow batting approach.

as for your SL solitary win gambit, that has been smashed. :fawad

I far one have had a great laugh this morning but need to relax my aching midriff, see you later fellas.

Of course you will win this game. It is Bangladesh in test cricket - everyone should beat them every time. That's nothing to be proud of. What I would like to have seen is some coherent and aggressive tactics in doing so, that would have lain down a marker ahead of the England series. That is what top sides do in minor series ahead of big ones. As a fan of Pakistan cricket, today has been thoroughly depressing for me, and therefore surely will have been for numerous others. There are already people in agreement with me above.

Not sure what will happen in Pakistan v England - no way to tell. What I do know is that England have nothing to be scared of, and I will be very disappointed in them if their showing is poor!

Discussed SL in my above post.

You're progressing in some way for sure - but progressing nicely?? That I am unsure of!

Completely disagree! Your current side stands as a prime example of why scoring and strike rates in test cricket are important, contrary to the general close-minded opinion that seems prevalent on here. Our players strike at 40 and we score 250 a day - who cares?! Think again!
