Bowlers dominate Bangladesh as Pakistan eye victory

Junaid has played quite a bit now, I am just afraid he might end up like Umar Akmal.
He is a good bowler, but if he cannot swing he will be average on the long run.
How is he doing today?
 
Need one more here and we would have used the new ball to good effect.

Bro wasim and waqar were once in a lifetime players. Also Pitches have got easier and easier now a days.

Look at the 90s 40 plus average was considered superb now every Tom Harry and Asad averages 45... Been saying for a while icc needs to intervene and make cricket a more even sport.

But yes.. Nice to see egg on some jk haters faces.

Clowns. Jk is a top class bowler and would have shown his class in the world cup. Just need to manage his workload properly..
 
Junaid is a mediocre bowler and not good enough to lead the attack. He's at best a third seamer. Most people can see this, but Bilal7 and wasimjunior have other ideas.

He's just another Gul.

Junaid is better then rahat , imran, talha etx only wahab is on same level with Jk others are mediocre , once amir comes back we can get rid of the mediocre crop of rahat , talha , bhatti etx ... U will see worth of junaid in Eng when we tour there nexy year would be great too see amir ,jk and wahab the three seamers for us
 
Riaz should bowl some short-pitched stuff at the batsmen, he'll get a little bit of assistance from the pitch.

Imran and Talha are crap, Rahat blows hot and cold. Being better than them doesn't make you top class as some are suggesting that he is.
 
Averages just over 29 despite not playing more than a single test in Australia, England, South Africa or New Zealand combined. Yes, mediocre is the word I'm looking for. :facepalm:

No he isn't top class neither is wahab , the only top class bowler we had in recent times was amir (asif was mostly in controversies , but was a potential ATG) hopefully amir has that spark in him , i think he should still bowl well he is only 23-24 (yoinger then jk 25 wahab 29) , i believe that he will play for Pakistan again within 1 year , eagerly w8ing to watxh him super 8 t20
 
Apart from that one over; Junaid has been really good.

Two wickets with the new ball on these highways. What more do you want?? 5 in the first ten??:))
 
Why do people think Amir will still be back as good as he was before he sold his country? And even if he is, we can't just rely on one player. Seriously stop begging for his return. "We need Amir back" lol :)))

he will be a third seamer if we can get some quality pacers again the issue is we do not have any so Junaid has to be the leader even if he is a mediocre one.
 
He's actually made for these wickets because his strength is reverse swing, he's not going to produce earth shattering spells with the new ball in England and South Africa, while he is not quick and tall enough to succeed in Australia.

Junaid has nice hair. A lot of South Asians sporting this hairstyle these days but more than 90% can't pull it off. It suits Junaid due to his fair complexion and facial structure.

Wahab is balding.

Listen not only you but all criticizing him he's the best we have ATM he might not be at his best because pitches are so dead another thing tell me some new guy who's better than him guys in domestic who are good come here and are torn into pieces he's actually survived unlike many and the new youngsters you wan't none of them can even pass a fitness test the only good bowler we had was amir and hopefully he comes back Pakistan cricket is pretty much finished were lucky we still have some good enough bowlers left and he's one of them.

Watch his spell against India again. Then watch the highlights of his LOI performances in South Africa.

It's been 3 years now, keep talking about for the rest of his career. Besides, watch his spell v India again - he was seaming the ball of the pitch, not swinging in the air. He bowled well in 2012-2013 but has been downhill since then, and that's reflected in his stats as well. Injury happened later.

At his very best, he's decent; nothing more.

Yes it's a crackpot theory that he cannot swing the new ball. I hope it will turn out to be better than your prediction of Azhar's failures.

Our bowlers need to just bowl an off-stump line to kayes and wait for a mistake, hes smashing any sort of width away to the boundary.

After three matches vs Bangla Boys. The irony is that you were the one slamming Fawad becuase he scored against them. Now Azhar has done it and it has become great?? :))

The captaincy is going the way I said. His batting though has been very good.

Nope.

Junaid to Yuvraj and Sanga were better.

To me the highlight is that amazing ball he delivered to Sanga and sent him packing for his first duck vs Pakistan.

That is the only proof we have of what he bowls like in bowling friendly conditions. He was seaming it and swinging it, I have all of those dismissals saved in my memory.

He's had a bit of a fall because of injury and fitness worries, I thought everyone knew about those. At his very best, he is outstanding but overall, he'll go down as a very good bowler. I expect him to average around 25-28 in both the big formats and take 250+ if not 300 wickets in each.

Yeah that was a peach i remember first he caught sanga plum lbw but wasn't given next ball sanga was cleaned all ends up

Junaid has bowled better deliveries after that. That one is his most famous though.

You wanted him out of the Test team as well, didn't you?

I agree that it's early days for him in ODIs, but his failures were supposed to start with this series and he has done better beyond expectations and has been much better than Shehzad, and I guess can do better in T20s as well.

I just said he wont last long the way he was batting. And that was mostly before the Aus series. At that time even you wanted Haris to come in at three.

Yes, with Azhar opening. That I think is still the best course of action in the long run, because our openers are not up to the standard.

All our fast bowlers are terrible. For them pitching it in the right place is an achievement.

No swing or any sort of genuine movement. Just gun barrel straight pathetic.

I think we need to find actual fast bowlers who can use the new ball and enough of this charade.

No it wasn't, I don't remember asking Azhar to be dropped from Tests altogether but yes he was proving to be one-dimensional in his approach, which will change now that he's playing ODIs.

Yasir bowling really well, even though he's nothing special himself.
 
Dropped Catches and poor fielding have always been Arch Nemesis of Pakistan Cricket.
Now even Younis Khan is dropping catches.
 
Come on yasir get us another wicket, i hope that Sakib drop doesnt prove costly.
