There is absolutely no buzz for these elections. The previous govts would announce packages worth billions before the by-elections. Kudos to Imran Khan and his govt to refrain from fooling the masses in the name of so called special by-election packages.

Saad Rafique is more or less guaranteed to win and so is Shahid Abbassi.

That's a real shame.

Lahore public are still more or less Jaahil. Lots of Bongay noon league supporters.

If PTI win 4 national seats then that would be good.

Pakistan is full of "parhay likhay jaahil"

Just like the general election PML-N workers don't turn up at the polling station to facilitate their voters. Tehreek-e-Insaf workers once again guiding everyone.

The PML-N has more incentive in losing the elections instead of winning it. If they win they probably won’t have enough numbers to topple this government whereas if they lose they can play victim card and cry over dhandhli. They will be selling this manjan for the next four year and a half years.

NawaZardari will win NA 124 and 131 (131 will be close contest though).

PTI may lose NA35 Bannu seat but should win most others.

Faisalabad seat is also tilting towards Noon as they have been historically strong in this particular area.

Pti is losing NA56 by a huge margin and NA35 also lost.
NA131 is too close to call

Lahoriye again showing you cannot fight paindu-ism

lol PML-N and Lahore is some love story

Wll done KPK 7/10 and that too with one sympathy ka vote for Bilor wife.welldone kpk..BAnuu seat was tough but independent candidate from pti made it possible for MMA Syed1

No positive results for PTI in the by elections. The seats that PTI won was the worst case scenario.

huge problems for PTI; now PTI has same number of seats as PML-N + PPP + MMA in national assembly; govt can be topple if MQM & BNP leave PTI support

PTI 4+ 2 Q = 6

1 MMA + 4 N league = 5

Total=11

So not much of a difference in NA.

In Punjab Assembly PTI won 5 and N league 6 but 2 independents also won.

PTI lost Attock seat by 200 votes and Jhelum seat by 700 votes. That shows how fairly these elections were held.

And in those 2 constituencies of Multan and Toba Tek Singh , N league could not get 1000 votes. Which means that those 2 strong winning candidates did not desire N league ticket and went independent. Most probably, tickets were again not distributed on merit in those constituencies.

And Yes no way Malik Sohail could get well over hundred thousand votes as an opposition candidate in a by election without Tahir Sadiq's support. This is a treachery.

Btw, if families of Pervez Khattak, Sheikh Rasheed and SMQ, along with many others could get multiple tickets then why not Tahir Sadiq family?

In total PTI= 15

PML N = 11

These are not our typical by elections which are usually exploited by ruling regime as they use state resources, funds, grants and police to win by elections.
PTI government in Punjab did not use state resources for the party campaign.

Honestly, not a bad result. PTI should be applauded for holding free, fair by-elections, and breaking the trend of state machinery being used to win elections.

There is another contest next week, NA-247 (and PS-111), which should be a very easy win for PTI. After winning that, the government coalition will be sitting on 183 seats. That means that even if MQM and BNP both decide to turn against the government, PTI and the remaining government coalition parties will still have the required 172 seats to run the country.

PTI are in a safe position now, Dr Arif Alvi's seat is still vacated, and will be up for election next week. After PTI wins that again, MQM and BNP potentially leaving will not put the government coalition below 172 seats.

Major is such a greedy guy. The understanding was that he will vacate NA-55 so Malik Amin can contest the elections since Amin has strong roots in NA-55.

However, he vacated NA-56 instead of NA-55 which effectively put Malik Amin out of the electoral race. As a result, Imran Khan asked Malik Amin to select a candidate of his choice to contest in NA-55. This did not go down well with Major so he decided to support the PML-N.

Major despises Malik Amin.

And i thought he hated Malik Sohail more  Self centered arrogant idiot. I am disappointed with this result but hopefully we will soon not need this idiot in the party and can kick him out. PTI could have won 2 more seats (NA and PP) with HUGE margins and ended up losing both.

Even Bannu seat could have been won if PTI candidate hadn't contested independently, time to kick out all these blackmailers for good.
Stupid Jutt family also costed 2 NA seats in general elections.

Although the PTI is in difficult position but it seems the Major should be sent on his bike sooner rather than later.
