Charlie Kirk's suspected killer brought into custody after confessing to father [Update@ Post 360]

The father handed him in himself. Wow, that must have been tough, to hand your son in knowing that the death penalty is in play.

Sniper Instructor Analysis, being consulted by the BI:

  1. The shot isn't difficult!
  2. The planning and getting away is professional skill, the getting in and getting out is what makes you wonder about this person!
My Crude Analysis (yesterday):

Hunter's Perspective on the Shooter:

@ElRaja @IronShield for professional perspective...
  1. Shooting an animal from approximately 200 yards is not a big deal and civilians (like me and others) can do it and it is possible and doable and done all the time by normal people.
  2. Shooting a target from approximately 200 yards downwards is also not a big deal and somewhat easier.
  3. When you shoot, you aim at the center-mass (biggest target) and this bullet hit his neck area which is within acceptable limits of bullet trajectory and travel and also not a big deal.
    1. Calculating a target with a good scope and sight at this distance is not a big deal!

The reason I believe that this was a professional sniper is because of preparations, getting the weapon into position and then exiting which requires planning and execution from the military and a lone civilian or a hunter would need major skills to be able to do that!

@mazkhan @KingKhanWC @sweep_shot @RexRex @Ball Blazer @Patriot

I find it really hard to believe a 22-year-old did it.

This 22-year-old is going to be the fall guy for someone way more powerful and influential.

I have my doubts on a 22 year old planning an assassination and escaping with this much precision, in my opinion the shot wasn't that difficult but I find it hard to believe that a 22 year college kid can do the rest...

@mazkhan @KingKhanWC

Lets wait for the facts to come to light...

Its hard to believe but then again this is America where some kids have been firing guns since they were in nappies. If the went for the neck, it has to be someone with professional experience as it was a direct hit. I mentioned before combat snipers do aim for the neck in their training. If he went for the chest, its possible. But I believe this was not some kid, it was a hit by a certain messianic entity.

The sniper expert from Lord James video said that a 22 year old kid is capable since snipers don’t aim for the neck and go for the head and a 200 yard shot is not hard. He must have been aiming for the head and got the neck instead.

Let’s wait for more info to see who this kid is and his motive.

I can't simply believe a 22 yr old who lives with his parents and a leftie can do a kill shoot at that distance like a professional sniper or assassin.

Sorry that shot was something a military grade marksman could pull off .

Something just doesn't add up
His family is republican and he is a registered Republican too.

He knew that he will get caught anyway. The pictures are out. It was only a matter of time. Better stand trial and may be he will get life in prison. That could be the father's hope.

Serious Problems with Tyler Robinson Story:

The New York Post reported that the bolt action rifle used in Charlie Kirk Assassination was a 30-06-caliber Mauser bolt-action rifle. This rifle is heavy and doesn't dissemble into smaller parts, unlike a modern rifle...And even the components which do come apart are not quick to take apart and run.

bolt-action-rifle-recoved-near-111147322.jpg

The FBI then releases picture of Assassin escaping from the scene, here are video and two pictures:

suspect-kirk-shooting.jpg

250912_gma_gutman_charliekirk1_hpMain_16x9.jpg

  1. The rifle cannot fit in the backpack as it does not disassemble into that small of a piece and from the video his jumping and walking shows normal bending of legs so barrel is not hidden anywhere!
  2. Why would he dissemble the rifle and then assemble it back and wrap it in a towel and leave it in the woods
  3. And the whole time working on the weapon, leave his fingerprints!

The sniper expert from Lord James video said that a 22 year old kid is capable since snipers don’t aim for the neck and go for the head and a 200 yard shot is not hard. He must have been aiming for the head and got the neck instead.

That is correct. A "non-expert" would aim at center-mass and not necessarily the head because from the scope you will instinctively aim at the most area visible.

His family is republican and he is a registered Republican too.
This whole thing doesn't sit with me and I am not a conspiracy nut...

He knew that he will get caught anyway. The pictures are out. It was only a matter of time. Better stand trial and may be he will get life in prison. That could be the father's hope.
Lets wait for all the facts to come out but at this point, Tyler Robinson when taken with all the photos and videos makes no sense!

Not making sense to me, Brother!

This came in my facebook feed. Not sure how authentic it is. If this is true, there are way too many deranged individuals who are brainwashed to hate certain political views. Pathetic situation in US.

Utah Governor Cox on Charlie Kirk's assassin: "His family said Tyler was saying Kirk was "'full of hate' and 'spreading hate.'"

The constant hate on Trump and rightwinger hate can push individuals into paranoia. For one Fox News, there are many CNN's, NBC's, ABC's, HuffPost etc constantly vilifying individuals. Far left has crept into all universities and other educational institutions. This is where Kirk used to go to debate students with opposing views. Very sad situation.

at 200 yards, a out of the box rifle will give a 2" accuracy. If you load your own round, it gets to down to less than an inch for group of 5.

30-06 is not affected by wind.

I have no formal training and have done 0.5" groups at 200yds for 5 rounds even with a 223.

the neck shot might be a message

Putting aside your bragging and bravado....Completely Disagree with the underlined, part.

In principle, no projectile is immune to wind! Larger calibers would be less affected off course and the drift cam be scientifically calculated using the Calculator

A typical .30-06 bullet would drift but less and this is commonly used for deer/moose hunting in North America and very common.

As far as the neck shot is concerned, it could be a message or could not be...

But you seem to agree that that with this rifle and distance, it isn't a crack shot

As far as science is concerned then you are part of WhatsApp university and Hindutva Physics brigade so pointless in arguing with you!

My initial theory yesterday was that it was most likely a Mossad type assassination, but I just don't understand why his father would then hand his son in for it.
This is what we are told, his father is a civilian and a Republican and sooner or later someone will Interview him and we will get to hear it ourselves.

What point are you trying to make here, are you saying the news channels influenced the shooter?

His views are on record and have been discussed, do you ever think those views might have caused someone to shoot him?

Anyway, a 200 yard shot isn’t difficult for people who shoot guns from an early age. Also seems smart enough to escape. Doesn’t look like he’s some kind of patsy. Netanyahu trying to link it to Islam is a bit fishy. That is the MO of Israel, trying to garner support from the right.

Putting aside your Wikipedia vomit aside, none of what I stated is bragging.

The accuracy I mentioned is guaranteed by most manufacturers. At 200 yds, 30-06 with out muzzzle will not be affected by wind unless you in the middle of a tornado

The irony of Kirk of being a White nationalist that supported the Israeli genocide of Palestinians and got killed by someone with the same intent as himself isnt lost on anyone. And what is this eulogising of this hate monger.

Dear @rpant_gabba

There is zero reason for you to double down if you get something wrong!

All Ballistics get affected by wind and it is a simple scientific fact. You could say that at 200 yds, 30-06 without muzzle wind deviation may be less than another projectile and then your statement would be credible.

But your claim is this which is pure BS! Neither backed by science nor experience.

from your own link, at 10mph a 155gr projectile has a drift of ~1.2" at 200yrds. hardly an issue.

Guess there is difference between those who practice and those who google. Guess we all have our strengths.

That's not what you said! You said the following which is blatantly unscientific, false and proven via experience.

As I said, I don't understand the need of an Indian mind to double down on errors and mistakes instead of simply saying like normal humans

Sorry, I meant to say this

Anything can be manipulated by this global elite and controlled media

There's no way some 22 yr weirdo who could be blown away by gust of wind living with his parents pulled that off that was a professional assassin who did that

Yeah I'm feeling indifferent about this

Who knows what can tip these people like Tyler over the edge. His profile and online activity seems to be an American version of @Hikaru and he cracked the type of 'jokes' as @Bhaijaan does. Yet one day he got up and pulled off a day of the jackal type assassination.

They really do live among us.

Just read about the shooter on the news.

Shooter was an anti-fascist guy. He considered Charlie Kirk as a fascist and so he killed him.

I also think Charlie Kirk was a white supremacist and possibly a future fascist. But, he didn't deserve to be assassinated like this. Nobody should take laws into own hands.

This is how the slide into oppression begins.

Today it’s political control. Tomorrow, it’s your wife’s hijab ripped off in public. Your daughters humiliated for existing. Black and brown bodies beaten without consequence.

When conservatives gain unchecked power, they don’t stop with laws, they come for culture, identity, and dignity.

And to the Indian bystanders clapping from the curb, don’t fool yourselves. Your head nods won’t shield you. Authoritarianism doesn’t hand out loyalty rewards. You’re already hated.

Never go too far be it right or left. Both are extremely dangerous and will not tolerate opposing views.
Unfortunately in US both dems and GOP have swung too far to the extremes in an attempt to appeal to their vote bases.

I can bet none of my Indian American friends will vote for GOP next time. May be they will vote if Vivek Ramaswamy is the GOP candidate(highly unlikely).

Charlie Kirk's suspected killer brought into custody after confessing to father

A 22-year-old from Utah has been arrested over the killing of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead while on stage at a university event earlier this week.

Tyler Robinson was taken into custody late on Thursday after a 33-hour manhunt that ended after his father helped persuade him to surrender to police.

His arrest was first announced by President Donald Trump, who called for the suspect to face the death penalty.

The killing of Kirk, who was shot while debating students on Wednesday, has shocked Americans and laid bare the country's sharp partisan political divisions.

At a news conference on Friday, investigators said the suspect confessed to his father and said he would rather take his own life than surrender. The father then called a youth pastor who is a family friend.

Both men tried to calm the suspect down, police said. The pastor, who also serves as a court security officer, later called the US Marshals who detained the suspect at around 22:00 local time on Thursday.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox said surveillance images showed Robinson arriving on the campus of Utah Valley University around four hours before a shot rang out, killing Kirk and sending students running for cover.

The governor told journalists that when he was taken into custody, he was wearing clothing similar to what was seen on CCTV cameras at the scene of the shooting.

He added that investigators had interviewed a family member who said the suspect had become more political in recent years.

Cox said the family member had spoken of a recent incident when Robinson had mentioned that Kirk was coming to Utah and that he "was full of hate and spreading hate".

Cox said investigators had also spoken to a roommate of the suspect who had shown them messages with an account named "Tyler" on the messaging app Discord.

The messages referred to a need to retrieve a rifle from "a drop point" and the rifle being left in a bush, wrapped in a towel.

The FBI said on Thursday they had found the suspected weapon - an imported Mauser .30-06 bolt action rifle - wrapped in a towel in a wooded area near campus.

Cox told reporters that inscriptions had been found engraved on casings recovered with the rifle, which had a scope mounted on top of it.

Bella ciao means "goodbye beautiful" in Italian. It is also the title of a song dedicated to the Italian resistance who fought against the occupying troops of Nazi Germany.

The Utah governor said he was not aware of any potential further arrests in the investigation.

State prosecutors said they planned to file formal charges against Robinson on Tuesday.

He is accused of aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, and felony discharge of a firearm, according to a Utah County Sheriff inmate booking sheet, obtained by the BBC.

Students at Utah Valley University told the BBC they were relieved by the arrest.

The campus has been closed since the shooting on Wednesday afternoon - with yellow police tape and police vehicles blocking much of the school.

"He was apprehended in Washington County, which is where I'm from," said first-year student McKinley Shinkle. "I just feel deeply ashamed."

"I'm definitely relieved," added McKinley's cousin Anthony. "I'm just anxious now to hear his motives and why this happened."

Public records reviewed by the BBC suggest Robinson had in the past registered as an unaffiliated, or nonpartisan, voter in Utah. Matthew Carl Robinson, the suspect's father, and Amber Denise Robinson, the suspect's mother, are registered Republicans, according to state records.

Voting records indicate that he did not vote in the last two presidential elections, according to CBS News, the BBC's US partner. He was not old enough to vote in 2020.

The suspect lives in St George, Utah, near Zion National Park, about 250 miles (400km) south-west of the campus where Kirk was shot.

He is a third-year student in an electrical apprenticeship programme at Dixie Technical College in south-west Utah, where he lived, a spokesperson for Utah Valley University (UVU) tells the BBC.

Social media accounts indicate Robinson's father runs a kitchen countertop and cabinet installation business, while his mother is a social worker. The family is Mormon and active in the local church.

It's strange that religion isn't brought into this. Neither has it been labelled terrorism.
That was a nuts thing to do.

Kash Patel looks like a wired cokehead too. The hell is an FBI director talking about his "friend" and using terms like Valhalla? He is another dumb trumpster.

What a weird thing for a Gujju Indian to say. Why does he look like he’s been hooked to an electrical current.

Also, looks like you’re right on right right theory was accurate. The killer is a fan of Nick Fuentes allegedly. Charlie Kirk was a big threat to them or a rival or something. It’s scary because he’s more of a fascist than Charlie Kirk was.

We can't read too much into the fascist thing on the bullet yet. Some of the other bullets said weird things too. Maybe he was planning to kill multiple people like cops and the 'fascist' bullet was aimed for them. We just don't know yet. There are images online circulating ( again don't know if true) that show his mother gifting guns to the kids for their birthdays.

It would help if the FBI had someone competent as the helm rather than this Indian dude making comments about a viking heaven. In TV shows he would be removed from command for being too emotionally invested.

Naw most Indians are still democrats, even the influential ones in West coast.

'I will never let your legacy die' - Charlie Kirk's widow gives tearful address after shooting

Charlie Kirk's widow, Erika, has given a tearful address in which she thanked first responders for trying to save her husband's life after he was fatally shot on a Utah university campus.

In a livestream, standing beside her husband's empty chair that he used during podcast tapings, she quoted the Bible and spoke about his love for President Donald Trump, Vice-President JD Vance, the US and the couple's two children.

Kirk, a 31-year-old right-wing activist, was shot dead on Wednesday during an open-air speaking event in Orem. His suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, was arrested on Thursday night after surrendering to police.

In her remarks, Mrs Kirk pledged: "My husband's voice will remain."

Three Problems with Tyler Robinson

Problem 1: Discord Denial:

FBI officially said that Tyler used Discord

A Discord spokesperson tells TMZ ... "In the course of our investigation, we identified a Discord account associated with the suspect, but have found no evidence that the suspect planned this incident or promoted violence on Discord."

Problem 2: Clothing Change:
  1. Tyler Robinson had different clothing
  2. Then, he changed Clothing on the Roof
  3. Then, he changed his Clothing back to what he had ON

@KingKhanWC, was Tyler Robinson plotting an assassination or a in a Bollywood song!
:lol

Charlie Kirk memorial service set to take place in Arizona stadium

A memorial service for right-wing activist Charlie Kirk will be held on 21 September at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, a venue which can seat more than 60,000 people.

Turning Point USA, the organisation Kirk co-founded, made the announcement on social media, inviting the public to celebrate his "remarkable life and enduring legacy".

Kirk, 31, was shot dead on Wednesday during an open-air speaking event in Utah. His suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, was arrested on Thursday night after surrendering to police.

President Donald Trump is expected to attend the memorial service, along with Vice-President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Before departing for Israel on Saturday, Rubio said he would be back in time for Kirk's memorial and remembered him as a "great young man".

"I admired all the stuff he said and did on campuses, and again, an enormous influence on young people, primarily," he said.

Arizona marks an important place for Kirk - it's the location of Turning Point USA's headquarters and where he and his wife lived with their two children before his death.

Earlier on Saturday, Kirk's widow, Erika, made her first public remarks after her husband's death, pledging to keep his legacy alive.

In a livestream broadcast from Turning Point USA's headquarters, Mrs Kirk, 36, addressed what she called the "evil doers" responsible for her husband's death.

"You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife, the cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry," she said.

"They should all know this: if you thought that my husband's mission was powerful before you have no idea, you have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world."

In a later Instagram post, Mrs Kirk reiterated those comments and posted videos and photos of her sitting over her husband's open casket and kissing his hand.

Kirk was shot while hosting one of his signature Prove Me Wrong debates at Utah Valley University while taking a question about gun violence and transgender people in the US.

Tyler Robinson was taken into custody on 12 September and is being held at Utah County Jail without bail, where he is on special watch to determine if he is a risk to himself or others, police told the BBC's US partner CBS News.

He is expected to make his first court appearance next week, where he will also be formally charged.

Kirk was a controversial figure in US political discourse and had been hailed by many as the future of American conservatism with a talent for energising young conservatives.

By mobilising the youth vote, he was an instrumental organiser in Trump's Maga coalition and helped return him to the White House for a second term.

After Kirk's death, Trump announced that he will award him a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom - the highest civilian honour - calling him a "giant of his generation and a champion of liberty".

The irony of Kirk of being a White nationalist that supported the Israeli genocide of Palestinians and got killed by someone with the same intent as himself isnt lost on anyone. And what is this eulogising of this hate monger.

Well there's noises coming out now that Kirk's support on the israeli genocide had changed, Candace Owen who was a big friend of Kirk is claiming this. How seriously we can take it I don't know, but she had a bigger platform than Kirk did so let's see. She's asking Netenyahu to read out the full contents of the letter which he paraphrased very quickly following the assassination. That itself was kind of strange for a world leader to be going on air eulogising a fairly lesser known character like Kirk in the first place.

I have seen reports and maybe they are true. And its always good to see growth in people, however if it true, it took nearly 3 years to see a massacre. He represented a hateful ideology that is the dominant ideology in American and Israeli politics

Yep, he was a hate-mongering, there is not much doubt about that. I hadn't even heard of him before the shooting, but seems he had a lot of powerful friends who were happy to peddle that hatred.

I had heard of him but never took any great notice. Looking at how American politics has gone, his views resonated with lots of people and I wouldn't have been surprised he would have been president by the early 2040s.

May well have been, still not actually heard him speak yet, but he was a smart guy by all accounts, quite happy to take on critics in an open forum.

He was taken apart by the Cambridge debating society for his views... there are videos of him quoting the bible only to be countered by students quoting other chapters of the bible that disproved his arguments.

I should probably qualify that smart in context of presidential candidates. Bearing in mind Ronald Reagan was President of the USA.

He was a word pimp. He debated with kids (Amreeka college campuses) but imploded Vs adults (Oxford) and beyond.
