The equivalent of a domestic FTB = Lionel Messi. The God of Choke and Minnows. He is not fit to carry Cr7's jockstrap and is a school footballer compared to the likes of Pele and Maradonna.
So Real are minnows???

That's my picture of the year, you're not going to get close to beating it. The GOAT's 500 to win the El Claisco at the Bernabeu.

Messi has 37 goals in UCL knockout games.
Ronaldo has 49 goals in UCL knockouts.
Overall Ronaldo has 100 UCL goals in 137 CL apps.
Messi has 94 UCL goals in 114 CL apps.
Elder > Messi because he has more international trophies than Messi.
You may as well compare Elder to Messi, the gap between GOAT and everyone else is that big.
I don't know why it's a comparison. Ronaldo is a phenomenal goal scorer. Messi the best footballer in the world and probably the greatest ever. Yet Ronaldo fans fail to see this... no shame in being second best to the GOAT.Muller >>>>>>>>>> Ronaldo. #WorldCupBeast #RonaldoFanLogic
I never had a genuine bond with Real MadridThe Real Madrid fan Aman celebrating a Barca victory over his own team)
Ronaldo's performances in this years CL are so far beyond anything anyone has ever done, they'll go down as the greatest CL performances of all time. It's up there with Maradona and the 86 WC.
He's scored 10 goals from the QF onwards against Bayern, Atleti and Juve. For comparison, he's scored 10 goals from this years QF stage and onwards. Messi has only scored 16 goals from the QF stage onwards in his entire CL career!
The ultimate big game player and he's adapted his physique (lost muscle mass) this season to ensure he hasn't lost that yard of pace and can prolong his GOAT displays for years to come. He's 32, Ibra is 35 and still scoring goal. Ronaldo will be scoring goals for at least another 2/3 seasons yet.
He's secured his 5th Balon D'or and will most likely end up with more in years to come.
I salute the greatest player of his generation, I salute the GOAT. CR7!

---------------ULTRA LONG CR7 POST ALERT---------------------
Q: "Cristiano, What do you think, who is the best player in the world?"
A: "I think, in my head, I am the best player in the world. It may not be true, but I have to think that way."
- Late 2015 -
The world raised their collective eyebrows. Here was a man in the wrong side of his 30's just refusing to admit his time was over. They laughed at his word, at how incredulous, how incredibly self-reflecting they were. Doesn't he realize what's happening? Doesn't he look at the game? Lionel Messi is hitting his prime, Barcelona is going to solidify their treble, while Cristiano is living in his Castle made of air. Proclaiming his superiority while bullying minnows and frustrating the team on big occasions.
- Early 2016 -
Real Madrid is in Shambles, Ronaldo is falling apart. People have already started writing his eulogy, trying to grab the early bite on his retirement predictions. The mood around him goes from anger to mocking to worst of them all, pity. He should step down at his prime, they wrote. Better to leave as the player he had been, than the player he was becoming. Madrid should sell him, they wrote, get the millions back while they still could. There was a talent at Chelsea called Hazard, he is dictating the game like CR7 never will. There's a lad at Juventus, Pogba, whose game looks like a hot knife through butter, Cristiano should make way. Time for Bale to dethrone him, Cristiano should not kick or scream, He should understand when to pass the Baton. He is as bad as the Madrid Coach, get them both out, make Real great again. Don't look at the papers. Dont follow the news, stay away from your instagram account. Who's the best player in the world, Cristiano?
In comes Zidane.
- 2016 end season -
What is happening at Madrid? The world looks questioningly. Are they really in the UCL Finals again? Surely they can't be. What with their mediocre plays and fragile mindsets, intra-team clashes? Cristiano doing any good? Nah, he is still finished. His pace is gone. He was a physical player anyway. He is fighting, sadly, but its too little too late. Madrid win the UCL. Season saver? Maybe. CR7 ? No show. Becoming more petty day after day. The gall of the man, taking off his shirt after scoring the winning penalty. Can he not be humble? What did he do exactly to justify his elation? The world looked on with screwed eyebrows and puffed cheeks. Cristiano celebrates, nothing on his mind. You will take your victories as they come and figure the rest out later. Who's the best player in the world, Cristiano?
- EURO 2016 -
Portugal are playing like ****. Cristiano is not showing up as Usual. They have drawn the first two matches. Ronaldo is trying but what can he do when his body is betraying him? His feet don't move no more, his shots refuse to kiss the net, prefering to go into the stands. Hungary will be the last we see of this Woeful performer.
Portugal 3-3 Hungary ( CR 2G 1A )
Hah, one time. Croatia will take them out. No? Poland will see to them? What? Wales is there, surely they cannot..... Finals? How? How are they doing this? How is CR7 still functioning ? Wasn't he supposed to give up long ago? OK, let's see what he does at the finals, can he redeem himself? Give his nation a trophy?
NO.
CR7 out, minute 24. Portugal do it without him. The world sighs watching him. People raise their voices behind his back. Riding on his team's success, they say. Doesn't deserve to hold the trophies. They forget so quickly what he did while repeating what he didn't do. But Cristiano endures. 1 trophy down, the new season is coming. Plugs to your ears, and boots to the ground. You have to get back on the playing field. Who's the best player in the world, Cristiano?
- 2016-17 Early Season -
Zidane has started on a roll. Madrid is finally shaping up to look like good things are coming this season. Cristiano is doing alright. He is back from injury, but the effort is showing. League games go by without goals, but people are looking now, he's changing his game. Assisting, creating plays. They utter careful praise. "Cristiano playing to his limits, turning team player when goals dry up. " Nobody is convinced. They don't expect this. Is this his game? How long will it be good enough? With Cristiano not scoring at will, Bale injured and Benzema on a striker's leave, Real Madrid are scrapping. 2 goals in UCL group matches. Horrendous result, unthinkable from Cristiano. Goals are surely not his forte now. Derby at the Calderon, Hattrick. Club WC, Hattrick in the finals. Shake of the head. The Ballon D'Or ceremony arrives, The UCL and EURO sees him get the trophy. The world is muttering, saying things that Cristiano knows all too well. Back to the field, Cristiano. Who's the best player in the world?
- 2017 -
It's February. Cristiano's game has gone up a notch. He running more easily than before, winning dribbles, scoring goals at last, though not as before. His game is improving. Zidane is cautious, Ronaldo is determined. This time there won't be a mistake, He knows his limits. Play for the long game, Granadas will come and go, UCL Knockouts begin in March. Bayern in the Quarters. Real dropped points in the Clasico. Barcelona taking up steam. Will this season be another faltering step? Who will carry real to the line? Cristiano? He's hasnt shown up yet. He is playing good, but not "Cristiano Ronaldo" good. The world watches. Madrid's season is on a knife-edge.
Real 6 - 3 Bayern
Cristiano Ronaldo 5G
The world is sitting up. That is something else. Cristiano is moving like it's 2013 and scoring like it's 2012. What is the catch. Zidane's rest? His training? Madrid's attack? Atletico in the semis. Last Lap is on.
Real 4-2 Atletico
Cristiano Ronaldo 3G
People are shaking their heads, this time in disbelief. Where does he bring this from? this time last year, he was finished. Running like a shot deer, playing like he was 50 years old. They had written about his last season. About him going while he was hot. What happened to him? How is he doing this? La Liga Title Race is on.
Real Madrid 3-3 Las Palmas. Back from the brink. CR7 2G
Real Madrid 4-1 Sevilla. CR7 2G
Real Madrid 4-1 Celta. CR7 2G
Real Madrid 2-0 Malaga. CR7 1G
La Liga is Ours. The season is almost complete. Finally we are the champions. Cristiano does a thundering last lap scoring 7 goals in his last 4 games. Clutch Master, they say. Carried Real on his back. Wonderful finishing run to the season from Cristiano. Sensational stuff. Never doubted him. Striking the ball like no other. But the UCL Final is coming. CR7 went invisible in the last 2. This time it's against a team which has an iron defense with a superman in Goal. Madrid will falter they say. Messi and all his men coudn't scratch Buffon in 180 minutes. They give odds for Juve to win. Madrid are wary, they know all too well, the occasion. The world is waiting with drawn breath, to see the other shoe fall. Dont focus on them, Cristiano. Cardiff is calling. Who's the best player in the world? UCL Final on 4th June.
Real Madrid 4-1 Juventus, CR7 2G.
The world has gone mad. There are videos, graphs, charts trying to capture his insanity. 10 goals in UCL knockouts. Impossible. First player to score in 3 UCL Finals. Astounding. 105 UCL Goals. Unbelievable. Back to Back UCL Champion. Mind Numbing. They say he's returned. They are writing articles again about how he'll play till 40. The journalists are still fighting, trying to get the early bite on his rejuvenation predictions. The world focused a camera on his face and he shouted in the middle of an UCL Final "One Chance...BANG."
He celebrates his infamous celebration, Journalists can't get enough pictures. All smiles, Madrid retain the Champions League, Ronaldo with the Masterclass.
Q: "Who's the Best player in the world, Cristiano?"
A: It's all in your head.![]()

I don't see how this is a debate. Ronaldo fan boys seem to not see past goals. Speaking of goals, Messi has a better goals to game ratio anyway, while playing as a playmaker in midfield for the last 2/3 years. It's ridiculous how the comparison even exists. They are different players. Appreciate Ronaldo as the ultimate goalscorer. He made it an obsession to score goals and he does it when he wants. Tell your children that you saw Lionel Messi play football. A genius who can be argued for the best playmaker, goalscorer and dribbler at the same time.
The players you would have in your conversation for the greatest of all time would be geniuses who were ahead of anyone else in terms of creating and goalscoring. All of them excelled at one of those more than the other. Messi takes it to another level.
Also international football isn't what it was in Pele and Maradona's time. Champions league is the highest level of football so it doesn't matter if you win the world cup or not, for me. You can test yourselves against the best players in the world here as opposed to meeting your international teammates four times a year for a week.
Furthermore, it's important not to overstate Ronaldo's influence on his country's win in France. As we should also not pretend that Messi plays at the level of Joey Barton when he pulls on the Argentina shirt. He's just kind of saved them (almost) from not qualifying for the next world cup and also took them to three finals in their last three tournaments.
Lastly, there is no player marked like he is in world football. If anyone is an aspiring young footballer here. Just watch him play.
Looks like he has another Ballon Dor in the bag and if it continues will win it again next year, Messi had a great 4/5 years from 2009 to 2013 but since then its been all Ronaldo
The truth.
A lurker here for a long time. I like you.

How dare you try and look past the most important thing in football! Blasphemy!
Yes, and Ronaldo has been the better big game player in the CL. From the QF stage onwards, it's Ronaldo 37 goals and Messi 16. Give me the quantity over who looks better any day of the week.
Ronaldo is the leading goalscorer in CL history and has the most assists in CL history, history will look back onto Ronaldo's CL campaign this season and it will be immortalised. A campaign and run of goals against great opponents that's never been seen befor and won't be seen again.
It was stupid of Ronaldo to take off his shirt and eventually get sent off for what seemed to be diving. Real Madrid ended up winning the first leg of the Super Cup tie anyway, but it was really poor behaviour on Ronaldo's part to push the referee.

Even if it wasn't a dive, it was only a yellow, not a direct red. The first yellow was for his celebration, and on another day he may have been left to rue his vanity.
In any case, I think pushing the referee probably warrants a ban.
If that wasn't a dive no need of yellow
Yes, but he would have remained on the pitch regardless of the referee's error if he hadn't celebrated the goal like that. Anyhow, my main criticism here is of the fact that he pushed the referee. He might face punishment for that.
He would have been gone till mid September, had it not been a Real player in Spain.
This guy is matching his countryman Jo Mou in shenanigan ......... can't tell about rest of world, but still the best player in La Liga![]()
I like Ronaldo better. Tough guy who is simply a result of a lot of hard work.
Messi is a bit soft. A choker who has become one of the best due to being gifted.

I must say that was a lot of fun lol.![]()
Thanks to the five-game ban, Ronaldo can enjoy some time in the stands now.![]()
Even though i am a barca fan, those 2 goals from Christiano and the other guy was brilliant...full of power.
Yes, it will be difficult to overturn a 3-1 deficit at the Bernabeu, even against a Ronaldo-less Real Madrid. Neymar's exit has severely weakened them, though their defensive issues aren't new. Messi and Suarez will not be able to score enough goals on their own considering how free-scoring the La Liga is. Some big signings are required, otherwise Real will destroy them this season.

Chokesi bowing to his god
Messi is like the Umar Akmal of football, looks great, so much talunt and then a massive par par par par! he lets out so much gas when it counts most, Messi is a mentally weak midget who will never be able to win a World Cup or prestigious international trophy, he will never have a superior record to Ronaldo in the UCL and he will forever remain in Ronaldo's shadow. Messi legacy is limited to being the nearly man of football, he nearly won a World Cup, he nearly had a better UCL record then Ronaldo, he nearly stopped choking etc Messi is the ultimate nearly man, not sure why people are attracted to such a fantastically spectacular failure
Messi should retire from all forms of football, besides; it's not like he has the heart to continue on, he had sent in his resignation to Argentine football earlier, it speaks volumes of the type of person he is. A QUITTER !
24 April 2017.
Santiago Bernabeu,
Real Madrid,
Spain.
Messi scored a late winner for Barcelona, lifted his shirt, broke mine, yours and every Madridista's heart. I almost cried after that. Did not sleep that night. Did not open the phone for whole day. Never saw the replay of that goal till this day. Whenever there is a replay of that goal, I change the channel or look away. My heart still burns the same the way it did that night.
We won Liga and CL regardless of that loss. But the fire was still there in our hearts ( mine atleast). It felt like we might win 50 titles but it won't put that fire out.
That run, that goal, that celebration.
It was pure torture.
13 August 2017.
Barcelona,
Nou camp,
Spain.
Cristiano Ronaldo, receives the ball after a clearance, nods it down for Isco. The Spaniard passes a advance ball for Cristiano who makes a 40-yard dash with amazing electricity ( impressive for a guy pushing towards 33). Knocks it forward, again pulls it back teasing the Barcelona centre back, and then that finish at the top corner.
Piece of beauty!
I was jumping, laughing, clapping like a monkey.
He was standing there, flexing his muscles, shirtless...
He takes his shirt and replicates the celebration that had set our hearts on fire. That celebration was everything. I remembered that night, the way my throat was hurting, trying to control the crying. That sleepless night.
He. Took. The. Revenge.
I don't ....... care what happend afterwards, whether he gets banned for a year, or he never scores again in his life ( Okay, that's impossible. But still..) , that goal meant so much.
So. .......Much.
Thank you Cristiano!
Hala Madrid y nada mas!
I am a RM fan and has been for 16-17 years and I have seen a lot of Football and Cricket. You need to seriously keep yourself to Wrestling or boxing, because these comments show you clearly know 0 about Football.
Comparing Umar Akmal to Messi? In what universe? That's so insulting that a RM fan is forced to defend Messi.
You talk about CL record, but do you know it at all?
Ronaldo has 105 goals in 140 games, ratio: 0.75
Messi has 94 goals in 115 games, ratio: 0.82
And since Messi is 3 years younger there is every chance he will finish as top scorer there as well.
Messi and Ronaldo both has won it 4 times each although Messi was not regular in starting 11 when Barca won the first time.
All time goalscoring:
Ronaldo: 862 games: 605 goals and 197 assists.
Messi: 702 games: 566 goals and 231 assists.
Messi played 160 games less than Ronaldo and only scored 39 goals less than Ronaldo. He still has 34 more assists than Ronaldo.
Messi won the Spanish league 8 times. Ronaldo won it 2 times and PL 3 times. In total Messi has 8 league titles vs Ronaldo 5.
There are so many stats you can go into, but Messi will be superior in most.
They are both great players and pretty much equal in achievements, so don't insult Messi by comparing him with Umar Akmal who has achieved absolutely nothing. If there is one cricketer you can compare him with it's Don Bradman.
