If something similar to Lord's happens tomorrow (i.e. Butt getting out first ball), then maybe a draw can be a good result

A Pakistan victory is still very possible. At the start of the day I said to myself that anything over 335 and England are in with a good chance.. but with Harmison falling just now it looks like England will be more around the 310/320 mark.

If the big 3 click then Pakistan could almost walk it.. but.. how likely is that?
 
That was close 1st up. Might have been an inside leg.

Nazir should'nt give any bonus runs to england we need these two wickets quickly. Pakistan openers must come out confidently and take the attack to the english bowlers. No need to have a fear of failure.

not very likely, bill. anything in excess of 220, i had said would be much and 300+, is certainly monstrous.

Yes but Harmison closes his eyes and swings the bat... a strategy that doesnt really work in the long run..admittadly a startegy pak openers often follow.. ;)
 
someone has to tell Monty, its 12'O clock....and he would leave for lunch maybe......

No chance, as much as one wants to dream, i cant see us chasing 300+ on a day 5 wkt.
 
Pakistan has only ever chased 300+ once in test match.

315 v Aus in karachi in 1994.
 
Fair play to Read...but now that he's got his 50....that's enough.

Just like to add that if it weren't for pieterson's deceiving, deliberate cheating...we would have been way in front.

Also Jack Bannister sounds really FLAT now that we're on top. He's so BIAS as well. Is there any escaping this??? SKY, Channel5, TalkSport, Radio4...they're all so BIAS and unappreciative...unles it's the aussies.
