YK livivng life dangerously chasing the wide bad balls.

Younis Khan needs to score 63 more to guarantee himself a Test average of 50.

Thats the last thing on his mind.

The problem with Butt is that although he is a pretty attractive shot-maker, he gets carried away and in his case, whenever he hits a few boundaries i get a little uneasy because he tends to ride the wave a bit too much for my liking!
Momo's law: Aggession is nothing if not tempered with restraint (unless you are an Afridi)!

Its a very good point tho! As a West Indian Im used to this with Chris Gayle! He spanks 3 or 4 boundaries up front and in many occasions he then goes and plays one to many!

Taufeeq is really struggling out there. It would be better for Pak if he would get out, and Yousuf come in.

Pathetic talk - 1 wkt led to 4 wkts in the 1st inngs in 5 mins!

Yes Gayle does this too but he has proved to be an overall better batsman than Butt. He is a little less temperamental than Butt.

Ok now Taufeeq is bothering me. He should be very well set in now, he has played 37 delvierys!

Sri lanka won the second test amazingly they needed something like 359 ( correct me if wrong) and they got to the target with one wicket to spare !

I just pray to ALLAH to do justice after the injustice of umpire billy and hair.

Actually, taking the attack to the English bowlers is not a bad idea here. A few boudaries here, a few runs there and England will be on the back foot.

Think about it. The opening pair have already bowled about 10 overs between them. Keep them out for another five and the runs will start to flow.

Batsmen R B 4s 6s SR
Taufeeq Umar (lhb) 5 37 0 0 13.51 striker
Younis Khan (rhb) 3 9 0 0 33.33 non-striker

More aggression from YK - good thinking. As long as Toffee can can stick it at the other end.

Care to explain that one for us?

Taufeeq is doing fine at the moment- the last thing we need is another wicket!

3 runs this over ,thats all we need to get it going ,and younis khan is doing it well and for taufeeq he can play defensively and hold on to one end.

Why? You also want him out????
nah nah.....i was trying to reply the dude who wanted him out..... i accidently replied to ur post....my bad :)

5 off 39 is pathetic.
must not show this much respect to bowlers. feeka is hopeless!

Taufeeq needs to play without fear of failure and in a aggressive manner to dominate english bowlers.

Momo - you're pi55ing me off. Its TEST MATCH still 80 overs to go.

these two needs to conitnue playing like this....no need to play anything risky....just stick around and runs will start coming....as long as we the wickets in hand

These are the times when Shahid Afridi really needs to open and score big (Chennai 99)

what he has done for us lately ,past is past so lets stop living in it and deal with whats on hand.

The thing is, is Umar capable of scoring quickly for a long period of time? It's not in his nature, I think.

12.2 Harmison to Younis Khan, 2 runs, bit too full to pull but he does so anyway, clubbing it over short-leg’s head. Aggressive intent from Younis this morning…he looks like he’s had a dozen espressos before coming out to bat, absolutely fizzing with energy and intent

Taufeeq needs to play like that.

Momo said:
Younis is atleast showing intent. Shame on Feeka!
Momo- stop TROLLING! If you want to criticise our players, do it on another forum.

Seeing as younis is going aggressive, it is better if Taufeeq just sticks there like glue.

Explain that to the iidiots that are cursing Taufeeq

taufeeq is doing fine...younis keeping the run rate good at one end..taufeeq defending..good

You're forgetting his 76 ball 100...

Exactly, we are still going at three an over!

I am not worried about the rising run rate or anything. It's a mental game and dont want them to let the English jump on top of them. See, if they know Feeka is not going to go for a stroke even if its a lolly-pop, how will they be kept under pressure?
Cricket is dictated by fear. If you cant get the opposition afraid, you are as good as dead!

Good ball by Harmy - YK just keeps it out

Great shot by YK

44-1

This is exactly why we need Taufeeq at the top of the order permanently

Stability and patience - after all this is a test match!

Alot of running will be done today if we want to win this...the outfield is just slow!

I hope he can continue to be hopeless out in the middle for another 80 overs
