England [246 & 271] beat India [273 & 184] by 60 runs to take an unassailable 3-1 series lead

It is baffling how India continues to be Moeen’s bogey team.
 
Hardik should play aggressively. He doesn't have the ability to survive here.
 
If Rahane takes India to home today, he will do justice to his test specialist tag.
 
Moen Ali with clean off spin bowling and no funtoosh variations etc, looks so much better than Ashwin.
 
Che got a century. Kohli has got 2. Time for Rahane to step up and get himself a century as the 3rd senior batsman in the team.
 
New ball is far away.

IMO, India are in a better position here. No need to play aggressive just keep on punishing bad deliveries.

Even if India don't win this game, I really want Pandya to lay into Moeen here. Just every now and then hit him down the ground.
 
One thing is for sure. India has been 20 times more competitive in England than this English side was in India.

Still a series win is a win and a loss is a loss.

Hardik and Pant needs to make quick 35-40 and then it will be interesting. If they try to play like Kohli and Rahane, I think they can survive for a bit , but not too long.

There is actually no other way out, if kohli couldn't defend his way out of Moeen, hardik has little chance.
And if the counter-attack comes off it will put England off their game.

Problem is england doesn't carry that kind of hype that India does or the delusional players who always keeps talking about no:1 ranking and that they don't need to prove themselves to anyone. When you shout from the rooftop that you are the no:1 team then you better prove it.

One of the top 3 needed to score 50. Good effort none the less. Shame the no 1 team can't achieve what Pakistan has done twice in the past 3 years.
 
Sensible batting will take India home just need to apply . Chance for pant to be hero
 
Pant has already failed defending it's better he goes all guns blazing... if he manages to survive atleast he will score runs quickly
 
And to all those who wanted pandya to attack, the thing is he technically could not. Pandya attacking game is around staying in crease and hitting spinners from there, he doesn't dance down the wicket to hit sixes. It means with rough outside the off stump, there was no way he could have successfully attacked Moen Ali while standing inside the crease. He is a fairly limited character and who Kohli and the team thinks can deliver. My sense is he has already achieved his peak batting average of 35 and it's going to go only downhill from here.

Nothing wrong with what Pant did, his best chance was to attack Ali and accumulate runs. Root would have replaced Ali with Board next over and Pant won't have been able to attack him.
 
Even if Pant had not gotten out and kept attacking spin, England would have switched to pace from both ends with tighter lines. A distraught Pant would have fallen inevitably.
 
India proving what world class chockers they are in tests away from home :)
 
Btw, irrelevant to this, why in the world do you need to see ultra edge when it's obviously missing?
