What's new

England [246 & 271] beat India [273 & 184] by 60 runs to take an unassailable 3-1 series lead

Rahul is a fantastic young batsman. He will come good - first tours of South Africa and England are very hard on young Asian batsmen.

India will stick with him because he is one of the best young players around.

Would be shameful loss if India loses this
Having match in hand they have let it slip easily . Should have dismissed England maximum by 180 and scored 300 in return

F_C was obviously on a windup with this whole Rahul > Kohli narrative. If you react to windups, it is your problem.
You obviously missed the general sentiment in the thread. But alas, that’s always been your problem.

Guy just got clean bowled for a duck. Scored 20 or something in the first innings and averaging only 14 in the ongoing test series. This guy is the epitome of mediocrity.

Men far more knowledgeable about cricket than you or I will ever be, think the opposite.

But if that's what you think then stick to it.

Everyone. He is a quality poster but he likes to play games and people often fall for it. He doesn’t mean half of the stuff he says.
I know that and his timing is superb as well as the indian fans start their chest beating on his threads. Its almost as if he sets up teams/players for their eventual failure. :))

Yet its fun to pretend he is being serious and bash him as well. :ronaldo

Mark my word. India will get bowled out within 40 overs. Their batters just don't have the quality.

DO NOT DROP KOHLI. I REPEAT. THIS IS WHAT ENGLAND BOWlERS AND ANDERSON WILL BE TELLING BUTTERFINGERS IN THE SLIPS

I don’t think I have been through that thread much, but if it has reached multiple pages, it is clear that people have fallen for it as usual.

India’s tail starts after rahane
Basically India playing with 4 batsmen

Mamoon chadda shb is right, dont look at FC, but look at what other indian posters post on his thread and agree on his statements fully.

if Kohli gets out early then it could end up as a very embarrassing defeat by over 125 runs

If England had set a score of 120 for India to chase on this wicket, still they would've won easily.

They kicked India out of the match the moment their lead got past 170.

I doubt if many Indian posters would agree with him that Rahul is better than Kohli.

Kohli was howling laughing getting happy all smiles for going past England first innings score like a match was won already . He better work on his captaincy rather than howling .allowed England to score 250 from 80/6

Rahul seems like the Hafeez of India. Looks all class when he’s in flow on flat wickets but technique gets exposed when there’s a bit of movement. :steyn

A shambolic defeat is coming up for this undeserving no 1 team. Loving it.

There is something special about MRF bat sticker. Tendulkar, Lara, Waugh and now Kohli have given it a special meaning.

de Villiers also used it at the end of his career, but not long enough to be associated with it. He is more of a Kookaburra player than MRF.

The best upcoming batsmen should aspire to have an MRF bat, and I hope a Pakistani batsman can land a contract as well, although it is unlikely due to obvious reasons.

However still, I would like to see Babar with the MRF bat.

Hafeez of India is still better than umar akmal of India. I am going with the latter right now. :yk

Ball is not just moving sideways in the air and off the wicket but going up and down.

It makes the task double difficult obviously.

It really is down to 1 man to win it from here for India. And even then he needs to play one of his best Test knocks to do it.

Last batting pair for India they have to stick till 160 for India to have any chance

Congrats England on winning a hard fought series. Toughest series England have had on their soil since SA tour 2012.

De ja vu for India. Yet another 4th innings slide in a run chase outside Asia.

However it's not over, these two need to dig in and get to lunch.

Babar to make MRF great again.

Babar to make MRF great again.

Only A grade batsmen should have the privilege of using the MRF. Babar is still B grade, but he should make the step.

I am not happy to see Dhawan with the MRF either, or Prithvi Shaw for that matter, who might be a legend in the making but he has proved nothing yet.

Dude, it's an Indian brand. They'll give it to any Indian batsman who's famous, it doesn't have any value :))

Yar kyun jhot bol rahay ho, England is your second team after India. :batman:

Pakistan first and England second. I am indifferent towards India and other teams, but I dislike South Africa.

Btw, Mamoon, my intent was not to say you support India, though it's obvious some of these people do think so

Of course I know that, but it is has been used by some of the best batsmen of the last 20-30 years.

Dhawan is probably the worst batsman to have used the MRF which say it all. This sponsorship has built a legacy which should be upheld. I think it is the most special bat in cricket.

But.. Still Pandya is there yar. We don't need to lose our hope. :D :D

Definitely, if they care about it, they should.

I remember getting a bat with an MRF sticker when I was younger because I wanted to copy Sachin :)))

I am a huge fan of Holding and think the criticism of him in this series has been over the top.

But he just insulted Harbhajan and his former team mates on air. "That sounds ridiculous and complete rubbish".

"You should be on the program about mind games".

What was the discussion about?

Harbhajan was just mentioning some silly superstitions they had. Like he would wear the same jersey he bowled well in before, or how Sehwag had his red bandana as a good luck charm

Superstar ego, I suppose. They get away with many things and eventually stop having filters altogether. It's common among famous people.

Rashid needs to be on the money today. England can't afford his inconsistent line and length. India need to ensure they put away any loose balls.

Good from India. Play Moeen positively and don't let him settle down.

Poor decision from a 3rd umpire with all the access to the technology. No inside edge whatsoever.

Kohli is a very lucky man. That was out end of.

Big mistake by 3rd Umpre.

He’s got to make most of this opportunity.

Kohli extremely lucky there. He was out.

Really poor umpiring all round.

It was out..Kohli is lucky to be there but the defensive manner with which he's playing, it's only a matter of time before he gets out
