So its like a reciprocal thing that needs to be carried out across generations as a sign of machismo, right! This makes perfect sense to be honest.

The other part about the extreme embarrassment is I think is a perspective issue. In many societies, freedom of expression is celebrated in different ways I would not take offense to anyone displaying the latter via the method in question.
