In Hopes defence, it was more of a "Hafeez" innings in that it wasn't all tsk tsk since if he did carry on for a bit longer he'd have a SR of 90+.

He was at one stage 36 off 60-odd with no boundaries, so it was understandable he'd finish with a SR of 75. But he put that on himself though.

Samuels just played a bad innings.

Disappointing end to the tour for West Indies but confirms what we already knew about their ODI team.

Poor strike rotation during middle overs and a toothless bowling attack that doesn't back up their batting when it does fire.

Miguel Cummins hasn't looked international standard whilst Ashley Nurse is toothless and not a matchwinning spinner like Sunil Narine.

I know WI team management worry about Shannon Gabriel's fitness and want to manage his workload but that leaves very few quality alternative pacers to turn to. Alzarri Joseph has potential but still raw.

They should qualify for the World Cup through the tournament however.
