Where is Sam Curran? He won 2 tests on his own with bat against India.
England crumbling even in home conditions ....seems they have forgotten the method of batting in tests completely all the while developing their ODI team. Perhaps revealing to rest of the world that separate teams in separate formats are the need of the hour now a days?
Pity.
England have been awful today, but they have also been somewhat unlucky. Injuries and weather aside, they could have easily gone into this Test tied on 1-1 or even 2-0 up.
Buttler needs to counter-attack here instead of letting his bat hang on the fourth stump to find the slip cordon. A rapid 60-70 can turn this game around yet again.

india were exceptional against them. Indian bowling was even better than Aussies in their own backyard.
Any way I hope pakistan get back to form in test cricket. Test format need a strong pakistan side.
Yes curran made the difference last time but more importantly toss won England the series. No excuses though, india should have won atleast 1 more test because lot of the scores were chasable.

I would agree that Indian attack all round is the strongest followed by Australia, but India won in Australia who were without Smith Warner that's almost 50 tests hundreds

india and australia are equal I would say bowling wise. bumrah and cummins are roughly equal. maybe slight edge to bumrah.
cummins can bat though.
shami imo is better than hazelwood. He really is transformed. Pattinson is better than ishant but ishu has improved. However Patto can bat too.
overall ability I would say australia first then india because their bowlers can bat. England with archer would be third and then followed by n.z and pakistan?
Eng are dead and buried. Cant believe it
Once again an appalling batting display from England.
This is the state of the Test team under legendary coach Trevor Bayliss Titan24.
Surprised that score is 67 but not surprised about England collapsing, it's a poor England batting line up with to many odi specialists
Sky Sports Cricket @SkyCricket
England are dismissed for their lowest score against Australia since 1948.
England have got to be kidding me.
This was their best chance to go 1-1.Seriously atrocious effort.
Am sure you or Saj can tell us about the test match in 1948?![]()
England batting is that of associate level right now in terms of test cricket.
Pakistan have a battery of young quicks coming through, who are tall and fast

Always good to see bowlers getting the upperhand in Tests. All 3 test series are shaping out to be a series for bowlers.
Got tickets for tomorrow. Expecting to see Australia win the Ashes. Not really how I planned it lol but it’ll be a good day out.

yes and I can't wait to see them explode. Mark my words. shaheen will be what amir was supposed to be in the future. world class talent.
others like musa husnain need more time. Bodies aren't used to the rigours of test cricket yet.
khawaja gone too
There's a woeful level of batting strength in both the English and Aussie test teams right now. In saying that, there's no excuse to score less than a Smith-less Australian lineup.England batting is that of associate level right now in terms of test cricket.
As long as lead is not 350+, England are still in the game.

That's too high.
This pitch is not easy to bat on.Both teams have good bowling attacks that is why it is going to be a low scoring game.i don't see any other team doing well on this ground either .India which boasts a strong batting line up would have been blown away too. There's a woeful level of batting strength in both the English and Aussie test teams right now. If Australia can get close to 300 runs then the match is theirs.Thy will win unless one of the English batsman scores a big hundred.
Bold prediction! If England can score 300+ in the 2nd innings, they will win the game.![]()
