Just goes to show what 50 more runs from Root could have done for England. The lack of runs from Butler and Woakes is also hugely worrying.

Stokes however, has been playing his own series and its almost as if he wants to make amends (he claimed the WC was not about redemption but it definitely seems to be) . Win or lose, Stokes has won himself some serious respect.
