England defeat Pakistan by 7 wickets in the one-off T20I

Good captaincy by Sarfraz! Faheem a lot better in these kind of situations.

Imad and Faheem still get Pak to an okayish score.

Can Shaheen and Hasan Ali do some wonders here in Cardiff?
 
I don't even remember the last time i saw Sarfraz bat in T20I.
 
Specialist captain didn’t contribute anything with the bat so we need to his so called great tactics now.
 
Cant wait for Pakistan to win and fans to claim it was the magical rotation of bowlers by Sarfraz that helped Pakistan win.

Also it would help reinforce the fact that our T20 loss was just because Sarfraz wasnt playing as specialist captain in the side.
 
England are without Roy, Bairstow, Buttler, Hales and Stokes. We should hang our heads in shame if we don’t defend this.
 
We will defend this.

Hasnain, Hasan and Shaheen - golden trio.
 
Mohammad Hasnain and Shaheen Shah Afridi are inexperienced, so it wouldn't surprise me if they leak a lot of runs.

This England batting line up doesn’t look that great other than Root and Morgan.

Pity it hasnt worked since CT 2017, and we have managed to lose almost everything for last 02 years.
 
Should win this one boys! Good innings from Haris and Babar there, to propel us to this score. We were going nowhere after the first 7. Going at 10 an over from there was real good to see. Only problem was those few overs at the end there where we continue to struggle could of done better if Hafeez was playing instead of Asif.
 
We dint see a 'different' fakhar today. A very familiar manner of dismissal

LOL. I know it hurts if PAK wins but I dont expect it. Look at the bowling. Hasnain is playing as well so its very much even.

lol this England side is the weakest batting side I have ever seen in a T20. Duckett and Denly are club level.

Your precious captain led us in test series defeats against New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

When we win it’s all due to captaincy but when we lose it’s everyone else’s fault.

Duckett is a big talent but he is raw and hasn’t had a consistent run yet. Denly is awful.
 
Should be a good chase. England to win it... looks like batting wicket. Needed 190-200.

The defence for England is already out? We beat England with their full squad in their own home ground already.

Well if its T20 u are talking about.. but the same captain also plays ODI'S.

I dont think i need to tell you how much "his yelling" has contributed to change in our ODI fortunes.

If not much, you can assume his captaincy has very little to do with change in our T20 fortunes as it has failed in the other format.

Unless off course...

LOL. How and why did you compare Hasnain with SSA who is the leader of our pace attack and our best bowler?

It was a one-off game. Full strength England will beat full strength Pakistan more often than not. They have a very explosive battling lineup.

Playing Hasnain is a big thing in terms of quality. We also were missing Hafeez and therefore had to play a lame duck in the form of Imam.

We ourselves are two players short. Its Pakistan B vs England B. Fair enough.

Full strength England could not beat Pakistan in t20Is the last time they met at their home. They also could not beat Pakistan the last time in an ICC tournament.
 
Why dont we just enjoy the win and praise Sarfraz.

All this self loathing is becoming monotonuous now.

I absolutely loved the results that the change in captaincy brought. We were unbeatable under Malik losing our first T20 series in 2+ years and collectively getting whitewashed under Imad/Malik.

Both one-off games. We also thumped India in the final but we saw what they did to us in the Asia Cup without Kohli.

We don’t have explosive T20 batsmen anyway. The alternatives were Malik and Hafeez.

If Malik is the benchmark of captaincy, then you can clearly see why its easy to see Sarfraz is winning every time.

You forgot to mention our best player Hafeez Sobers (the man who dismantled India in the Final, and our best player of spin) wasn’t playing

Shadab is average, Hafeez is not a bowler unless he chucks. Amir should have played though, his economic bowling is useful in T20s.
 
T20 is good cricket.

Dont get me wrong.

I like T20.

I just think its sheer chance that a poor Test captain, an avaerage ODI captain can somehow magically be a great T20 captain.

But I can see how people believe it, so I'll let it be.

We have Imad Wasim who is pretty world class against these english teams who can’t play spin for nothing. Also we have a pretty world class pace attack.

I really dont understand the point of watching then. If you hate this team, wish us to lose, have nothing to contribute apart from bashing players then whats the point of following. Maybe do something which you like?

Only reason i can think of is point scoring which makes them keep coming.

Hasan has been tagged forcefully as a specialist old ball bowler

most teams really don't take T20s that seriously unless it's a wT20. This game is the prime example. Only Pakistan features their full strength side in T20s. Most teams test their bench strengths.
 
Pathetic batting!!!!! Hasan Ali should come ahead of Asif Ali and Faheem.
