Vince will probably be very unlucky and face getting dropped again for Hales to return. Can't see any other changes though unless the pitch is radically different. If SL have any sense they'll bowl as much spin as they can.

Sky currently have Michael Atherton and Kumar Sangakkara demonstrating how to play on wickets with little pace. Sanga emphasising how to create angles, find gaps and rotate strike.

Easily best cricket coverage in the world.

I am supporting SL here just because they are our Indian Subcontinent ;) brothers.

Also because if you look at Asian teams vs The Rest then despite of having 5 teams out of 10 we havent won any matches if you take out matches between ourselves.

We need to improve the record here.

This analysis on Sky is gold. Sanga delivering masterclass on how to play on these wickets.

Cricinfo's preview of the conditions:
Andrew Miller is our man in Delhi. "An overcast and relatively cool day here," he says. "We've just witnessed Australia's women beat Ireland on the same track that will be in use tonight, which in turn was also used for England's victory over Afghanistan on Wednesday.

"If it seemed slow for England's batsmen then, it could prove funereal tonight - one ball in particular in the women's game kept very low to bowl Meg Lanning. But, given the weather, there might also be some swing on offer. David Willey, for one, found lots of lateral movement in the more humid conditions in Mumbai."

Both teams destiny in their own hands,

Sri Lanka could choke Eng batsmen, if the pitch is slow and turning.

Cricinfo's preview of the conditions:

I loved his analysis on how to pick mystery bowlers and guys who are good with their variations, did you catch that markhor? he emphasised the need to focus on the stock delivery of bowlers and that batsman would automatically pick such deliveries when they notice a little change in the wirst or any other alteration which is made but the most important thing is to focus on the stock delivery and not get into a mindset where you are expecting the special ball every delivery.

Can't believe Sri Lanka haven't picked Senanayake after the way we played the spinners against Afghanistan the other day when it also wasn't turning.

Hopefully Lanka will win this and make hopes alive for South Africa.. I back SL to win this.

Yeah great insight into the mind of a fantastic batsman.

That was brilliant and superb advice to any young batsman at all levels. He's going to make a wonderful batting coach one day should he go down that route

what a ripper by Herath

We always job out against SL in World Cups  can't play spin to save our lives, Root will be key here he needs to bat through the innings if Eng are to get a decent total they can defend

Good over from Vandersay. I remember him causing Pakistan real problems in a warm-up match before the Galle Test last year.

I'm not watching this game. Can someone tell me how the pitch is and what is a par score here.

Not sure why England have rigidly stuck to 4 seamers + 2 spinners method. Only 8 overs of spin max. They could've picked Liam Dawson and would have a perfectly balanced attack for these conditions with the third spinner.

Even though they changed lot of things recently they still have let go some old rigid policies.

What rubbish is this from Perera ? Initiative handed back to England.

Was talk of bringing in Dawson for Delhi but when they arrived the pitch wasn't as big a turner as they expected.

Thisara bowls his first over at 16th over and now another part timer bowls his first over at the 18th  .

SL's earlier work being undone here. Maybe Mathews could have left an over or two for his best bowlers for the death and get the part-timers out of the way during the middle overs ?

Lankans missing Malinga big time.

Ball was 147 case and butler probably smacked it back to the bowler with twice the speed. :))

IPL fans got a lot to look forward to. This lad is lethal when he gets going.
especially on that flat phatta at the Wankhede he will be smashing trundlers to all parts of Mumbai.
