Not anymore he isnt - says it was 'probably a good decion by the umpire'!

There is the word Probably, which indicates he is not sure.

Confirmation: Watson was OUT - Pad 1st.

Nice 20% fine coming your way Watson (well, if you were Pak anyway!)

He just couldnt bring himself to say it - thats all. He knows it. Nasser knows it. Snicko knows it.

Now you know it!

they're coming home. Doesn't feel quite as good as 05, that was just too special for many reasons, but this is a nice surprise.

Like I said, England only needed a wicket after that, the enormity of the task face Australia and really the pressure is on just to bat out the day.

The atmosphere seems flat considering what England could achieve today.

i think they r waiting for 1 more wicket

It's almost as if they still doubt (nerves) they can win even from this position or they just can't believe they are about to win the Ashes are being humiliated in the previous match.

Yes I dread to think what Warney would have done on this pitch. Punter pulls a ::4

Good needed breakthroughs . Now the real danger awaits that is the The Pup , Punter would likely get done a huge off-spin into his stumps and Hussey will likely forget again where his off-stump is .

There is still that strong possibility that Aus might just draw this one . England really need to be positive about their approach towards the Pup/North Combo.

The weather forecast is decent for tomorrow so unlikely to come to Australia's rescue. They will have to do it the hard way.

Mr.Useless is at it again :( . Why doesn't he just go berserk here and let his luck guide him as that could well help him ease the pressure off , Its quite likely that this is his last chance to perform .

A draw is really out of the equation

If australia bat 2 whole days they will easily score the 400 more runs they require

Looking difficult though... England striking twice in the first hour is a big achievement and will set australia back a long way

Cracking shot from Hussey through point

Will gve him loads of confidence

Hussey cuts one to the boundary. Anderson has had a poor series and has gone slightly unnoticed. Averaging over 40 per wkt.

i doubt that

Ponting is a key player here. Needs a captains knock and he has delivered when required in the past.

Hussey taking advantage of bad balls

This will all give him much needed confidence

I don't think Aus can win this one unless they have luck on their side . Right now they are 2 wickets down so they won't be thinking of winnings themselves :D but looking for a draw as well .

Swann and Stuart are both bowling quite good at the moment . They are ones that England has to look forward to for breakthroughs , once the bowl gets older and starts reversing then it will be Flintoff's turn to make something of his last test :D.

But thats the thing

Even if they play for a draw they'll still end up scoring 2.5 runs an over and thats all they require

50 partnership up

off 94 balls

punter looks set for a big one!!

If Australia bat for two days they'll win.

The draw is simply not possible here, except rain.

ohh

edge just short gone for four

Hussey will score- just have this feeling

Oh my , I was expecting the RR to be a lil more higher . But I'm sure that some bowler would eventually pick up a wicket or 2 to start a collapse :D.

ofcourse thats the higher probability (very high actually)

but theres the teenie weenie chance of a nice big 200-300 run partnership which might set up a cracker of a match

exactly 4oo to win now

What a friggin unplayable ball by Swann to Hussey

Classic offspinners ball

started reversing from freddie

crucial period before lunch for Aussies

it's four hundred runs left to win. FOUR HUNDRED. with the Aussies a couple of dodgy shots or spitting balls away from having no top players left. hardly a cause for concern yet!

Agree with Whippy - the series is as good as done for Aus.

England will be mighty unlucky to lose here.

This isnt teh Australia of the Waugh/Border mould.

have faith !

207-2

Why select HArmison if you only give him 9 overs all game?

In spin we trust - plus Swann looks cool in his shades.

Once the target gets below 250 with say 6 wickets in hand then the complexion of this game will change - still about 100 runs to that

Doubt may creep in if england are wicketless this session.

The pitch is turning and England have this laid out on a plate, unfortunately today they seem to lack energy which you would expect for the ashes decider. One wicket should give them a buzz.

50 for Hussey ! What courage and fighting spirit being shown by the Aussies here.

Edit: Lot has been said about Australia not playing a spinner, what about the English ? This is a two spinner pitch without any doubt, Adil Rashid should have been playing.

Getting interesting now.

They could easily end the day something like 380/4 and then we'd have an incredible final days play.

Unlikely though, as England only need one good session here wheras the Aussies need another 4 or 5 perfect sessions.
