Well, Binny redeemed himself and i dont know if that is a good thing.

Anyways, I think Kumar should be the MOM

5 days of waste for those that paid and have been watching this. England still haven't batted their 2nd innings proves how this test match was deliberately made for a draw and draw as much tv revenues as possible.

Defensive Dhoni Didn't Declare.

That should be the headlines tomorrow.

Of course, the ideal situation is for the game to be decided in the last session of day 5.

It's very odd by the TB ground staff as they usually make result wickets.

People want to see result after five days. ICC need to think about this, otherwise test will die out slowly

Game might be remembered down the track for some of the worst bowling to some real bunnies we have seen in test cricket.

pidge and chris martin might just come out of retirement if they were promised the chance to face it.

Why can't bowlers put few yorkers time to time? Tails from both sides were batting without any trouble. Both sides created chances but bowled pies to tails.

The rubbish Sky commentary team have also taken the MoM award from Kumar.

Kumar deserved the MoM  He got a 5fer and 2 half centuries in this match.

If you followed the Sky team for five days worth like I have, you'd almost fall into the trap of thinking there were only English players on the ground.

"We needed a partnership this morning and we got it. It was a good Test match for us, we managed to put pressure on them and then we held up well when we were under pressure. We haven't had a seaming allrounder but Stuart Binny can be someone who can really contribute for us in the future. I don't regret not playing R Ashwin because there was no help for the spinner. We had good combinations and I was happy with the bowling attack. I don't think I could have changed much when Root and Anderson were going, we tried a few things but the ball got soft and the bowlers got tired and I don't think there was much else we could have done. A lot of youngsters have played really well. We wanted to see what kind of fight they are putting in and we're pleased." -dhoni

No wonder india are without a win in their last 15 away tests with this delusional defensive bloke as their leader, they let the last wicket partnership put on 200, and jimmy anderson of all people scored 81 for and it's a good test for them?

Four of his wickets were to tailenders. Anderson helped save the game.

Yeah as if that does not count. The tail enders scored more runs than the top order. Besides how often do they check it? 5 fer on a dead pitch in one innings is much better than 4 in two and both of their first innings fifties have similar importance. Without the last wicket partnership India would have folded under 350 on a docile pitch. I am not even counting the second fifty here.

Jimmy totally deserved the MoM. Bhuvneshwar made some useless runs and got some cheap wickets. Jimmy's was a once in a lifetime performance - best ever by a tailend batsman. Stop whining.

I hope Dhoni stays on, so he can have prime tickets to watch Jadeja, Binny and all the other hacks whom he picked into the side himself, get themselves out in embarrassing fashion one after another.

Oh well. :narine

No one beats poms at whining. Don't worry. Most neutrals would agree with us.

Bhuvneshwar's wickets: (all bottom 5 players)
Prior
Stokes
Broad
Plunkett
Anderson

Anderson's wickets (India's top 3)
Vijay
Dhawan
Pujara

and Jadeja

Bhuv's runs came when India was already past 350 in the first innings, and when the game was nearing a draw in the second. Every run scored by Jimmy was like gold dust and eventually match saving.

So what stopped Anderson from getting a few Indian tail enders out? He bolwed 59 overs to get 4 wickets and spent 170 runs, Bhuvi spent 85 runs to take 5 wickets in 30 overs, no competition.

350 was a below par score on this track. India had lost 4 quick wickets and could have easily been all out under 360 which is what most people were expecting. That would have given England more time to bat on and put pressure on India. Bhuvi's innings set up the match for India.

And then the unbeaten fifty in the second innings was the icing on the cake. They played 3 innings in this test and Bhuvi was successful all three times both with bat and ball. He is MOTM by miles.

yeah whatever u see through ur biased english spectacles :)

Bhuvneshwar is a glorified county bowler who just got a few cheap tail-enders out!

Anderson deserved the man of the match, if anything Bhuvneshwar should get tail-end bowler of the match award which is a wooden spoon
