I am happy we made Akmal's career.....Karachi was painful but have to say from a cricketing point of view it was a great innings but that pain paid off as I did enjoy the Sydney test and the Ross Taylor innings purely from a cricketing POV

You see, every game has a balance - he produced a regulation on 1st ball of his return. Now, luck does balances out - had he bowled 2/3 more could have made another chance, but more likely that ENG would have played him out.

There is no other solution in Test at least that you you hold on to your catches. In LO, even without catching, one can restrict a side as overs are fixed - but this match it could be a difference of 100 runs lead or deficit for those to dollies dropped.
