I never support England but I support the Birmingham Bears (Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes) vs opponents other then Pakistan. Unfortunately both have performed supremely well against Pakistan and it's really hard for me to digest

Sledge back. Pak bowlers need to stop bowling passively and sledge the batters to build up pressure.

I suggest Azhar and co need to keep that in mind. Don't let these cheap tactics contribute to losing concentration because that's exactly what the intention is.

If anything Azhar should welcome it. They should really give Hales a volley abuse when he starts batting again, he's a nothing player in this series.

Having looked at the pitch so far, it is not doing much and looks a good one to bat on. We now have two set batsmen at the crease who must go on to make fifties at least and maybe even a hundred.

Surely its time for Younis to step up now and make a big score. We have kept faith in him and a batsmen of his quality cant be out of form for too long.
Sarfraz is also someone who can come in and make a quick 50 which would be invaluable, not to mention we now have iftikhar at 8 which means tail is not as long.

Also looking at our team every single batsmen in the lower order is capable of making 20+ runs. Amir, Wahab and Sohail can all make handy contributions especially on a sunny day like this.

I think we can post 400+ this innings and just need to make sure we dont lose wickets in clusters.

Azhar is still playing and has around 5-6 years left, I see him getting 7,000-8,000 runs at a 40+ average which would make him a Pakistani great but that is for the future.

Even after 7 tours outside Asia in 6 years Azhar after the Edgbaston test Averages 29 outside Asia. This includes two tesr tours of Zim and one of WI.


When Akmal after being dropped from Test Side 5 years ago Averages 37 outside Asia and Azhar 29 after Edgbaston Test hundred and Asad 24 than it tells the progress rate of Azhar & Asad in last 6 years. Note Akmal has worse batting temperament and batting IQ compared to Azhar & Asad.



Pakistani Great Younis After 48 tests was Averaging 40 outside Asia against much decent pace attacks of those days compared to these times and Azhar at the same stage ? 29 and 1 Hundred outside Asia in 6 years including 7 test tours outside Asia.
