England 215 & 375
Australia 280 & 174/6 (71.0 ov)
Australia require another 137 runs with 4 wickets remaining .

Fraser on BBC tms feels England have the upper hand but Australia cannot be ruled out & Clarke as expected is making bullish noises . I think England will win this easily as it is very overcast at Trent Bridge right now & new ball is due after 9 overs.

IMO Australia need a freakish innings similar to Agar's in 1st innings to give it a shot. No point blocking and playing the time. They are not going to chase this down the conventional way with only 4 wickets in hand.

England to win comfortably methinks unless there is one more Agar special coming :yk

unlikely to happen in consecutive innings .

from bbc ,Chief sports writer Tom Fordyce at Trent Bridge :
"Gone are the clear blue skies of the first four days here at Trent Bridge. In their place is a ceiling of grey cloud and haze. Don't panic, England supporters - there's no sign of imminent rain - but there should be a little more atmospheric help for England's swing bowlers as they look to rattle out these last four Aussie wickets.

New ball due in 7 overs ........ Aussies need to attack here , with red cherry , cloudy sky , Jimmy would be lethal.

C'mon Aussies!

First runs on day 5. A four to B Haddin with a run to vacant 3rd man.
Let the runs flow
133 runs to go

England 215 & 375
Australia 280 & 180/6 (76.0 ov)
Australia require another 131 runs with 4 wickets remaining

Somethings got to give... Boundary or wicket coming up

Tentative opening!!! Ball not doing much and Australia offering nothing but forward defensive shots

Ashton Agar has a test batting average of 103 and is therefore the best batsman of all time.

Haddin needs to show why he was picked ahead of Wade. Certainly not for his keeping, though both are shyte. He needs to stay there till the bitter end.

Poms trying to thief Haddin out knowing OZ have no referrals left.

And how good is this kid Agar.

Ice cool, what a debut !

Kev more involved in discussing strategies under Cook than he was ever under Straussy

Kev more involved in discussing strategies under Cook than he was ever in Straussy

Cook is a weaker personality and knows the ECB got rid of Straussy and Peter Moores as Kev didn't get along with them. Cook wouldn't want to go the same way so knows the necessity of pretending to listen to Kev.

Let's see if Cheater can thief Agar out

England 215 & 375
Australia 280 & 194/6 (84.0 ov)
Australia require another 117 runs with 4 wickets remaining
Day 5 - Session 1

Cheater thought about appealing for a clear miss but thought better of it. 6/194

Broad needs two wickets to reach 200 in Tests. Only 14 players have achieved this for England in Test history previously

Haddin almost caught by Cheater but Cheater was 20 yards away

Twenty years ago at this ground Brendan Julian & Steve Waugh put on an unbroken 87 run 7th wkt partnership to save the test.

But this time we love to win it.

Anderson rubbing the ball so furiously against his hip you would think he had lathered mints onto his trousers.

Haddo needs to be the sheet anchor, to be there to the end.

Lol Broad who do you think you're going to intimidate with that look?

England 215 & 375
Australia 280 & 202/6 (85.1 ov)
Australia require another 109 runs with 4 wickets remaining
Day 5 - Session 1

If we can whittle the lead down to 50 it will get interesting

Cheater spraying the ball around a bit
