LOL Holding making Agar sound like he's Lara. He's not that good

"Australia's last 3's batting averages: Mitchell Starc 29.72, James Pattinson 26.10 and Peter Siddle 15.47. Have we ever seen numbers 9, 10 and 11 who are that good? No bunnies and Australia look the goods to chase this.

A genuine quick bowler would go through Agar quite easily

Simple dismissal. Brian Lara Agar is not quite yet

God is Jimmy :p ! He has bowled around 8 overs on a stretch this morning while being economical all the time.

Was always going to be tough, but even more so now. We need 20 from each of these tailenders and another 40-odd from Haddo

So there is Siddle who makes a half century every time he plays us and a guy who has a 99 to his name left? And Pattinson.

this tail...

His fitness is terrific but i wonder if he can take this kind of work load consistently for 10 ashes tests .

if this was 250 run chase , Aussies could have got there , this is a bit too much now.

Best way for Aussies would be take a few chances and hope they come off ....... few quick boundaries.

If he can get through 7 out of those 10 tests, England will mighty pleased. But yeah, he would need to sit out the ODIs and T20s this year.

Beefy talking too fast. Seems nervous

Just goes to show what a herculean task it is to score 100 on a last day wicket

What a knob of a commie... 'Against the might of Scotland'

Our overdependence on Jimmy is going to kill us when he can't play a match for whatever reason.

Absolutely brilliant from Anderson yet again.

Haters gonna hate - and all the while he will continue to win England matches.

Dont see no hate here James !
99 to win & 2 wickets in hand .

Yeah I know, the haters come out when Anderson bowls an average spell and they choose to then ignore his many brilliant performances.

This, personally, is all the evidence I need to show me that we're watching a quality bowler of both natural talent and mental strength here.

Makes you wonder how Starc actually scored 99 against India eh

England 215 & 375
Australia 280 & 220/8 (90.0 ov)
Australia require another 91 runs with 2 wickets remaining
Day 5 - Session 1

Still the worst bowler to pick up 300+ wickets and he'll always remain in Steyn's shadow.

Scotland's might got 'Great Britain' (England) a freaking Wimbledon title

O Flower of Scotland,
When will we see
Your like again
That fought and died for
Your wee bit hill and glen.
And stood against him,
Proud Edward's army,
And sent him homeward
To think again

Jake: "In the interests of being eternally optimistic about Australia's chances, I'm fairly sure that in Peter Siddle's last test he scored back to back 50s."

staying up to see OZ win :warne

IMO Australia need a freakish innings similar to Agar's in 1st innings to give it a shot. No point blocking and playing the time. They are not going to chase this down the conventional way with only 4 wickets in hand.

Agree

Down to the last three now. Agar played a very different knock to the first innings one. 70+ balls for 19. I'm not sure that was the best way to go ...Aussies need to put England under pressure by keeping the scoreboard moving

They have brought back Swann to finish the OZ off.

Vettori. Brett Lee. Harbhajan Singh.
Vettori - An average of 30 in less than favorable conditions

Sir Jimmy - An average of 30 in favorable conditions

hmm...

Oh and then there's his batting :p

Statistically Lee is better than Anderson. Harbhajan you can mount an argument for.

It's easier said than done though. You can't lash at every ball, not unless your name is Shahid Afridi.

You said bowler so only looking at bowling. And average of 34.4 for Vettori at a Strike Rate of 79. Yeah... no. Good player but not the best bowler.
