You have to factor in they had the perfect bowling conditions and attack for those conditions in the 2nd test.First test could have gone either way.

India were defeated badly in lords test though it can be argued India were on wrong side of conditions both times they batted and England battled on the only sunny day. Anyway does not matter as India were comprehensively beaten in that test. But the first test India were in the game blow by blow till last 30 min
