Yes we have! Reminds me of Ashes 2005! Go England!

India's bowling is disgusting. I don't care if you cant win the game and your bowlers can't take wickets. But if the opposition is making runs at 4.34 per over in a test match, that is pathetic and that team does not deserve to be number 1.

England have done really well today - 400 runs in a day is big! Good attacking cricket and getting 400 in a day is a way to move the game in your favour!

2 days to go still, England pretty much favourites here!

Run Rate today is 5 runs per over.

How in the world did this pathetic side get to be #1 in the rankings .

I have never seen this bad bowling in a Test match in England before! Honestly this is rubbish!

Great match this. What a comeback by England on this pitch. Well played Bell, KP, Morgan and Prior. Prior is killing everything.

And this so-called "#1 side " gave up when the lead was 200.
Top sides don't give up 400 runs @ 5 an over.

England just scored 400 runs in a day - tremendous batting - India have been very poor today & do not look like the number 1 side in world !

Broad and Swann still to bat.

India are odds on for another pasting in this game...

Seeins as England are capable of bowling India out in 1 day. Looks like England are going 2-0 up!

If England can hang in until lunch time tomorrow and take the lead to 450-500 that will be game, set and match most likely!

There must be something seriously wrong with the captaincy and his bowlers if they cannot prevent the opposition from scoring @ 5 an over for an ENTIRE DAY !

England started day 3 at 24-1 and finish day 3 at 441-6. Thats 417 runs in 90 overs!!! Prior and Bresnan going nicely at 102 runs P'ship in JUST 18 overs!! This is against a NO.1 TEST SIDE!!!

From Cricinfo:

England dominated 90 overs of day three. India were the better team in the 20 minute tea-break. India had dominated four of the six sessions coming into today, but England have utterly bulldozed them today.

England's got a very long tail, can India pick up the remaining 4 wickets or we will see another lead added to the lead. Tough battle for India tomorrow. Great fightback by England.

Ishant should be dropped after this performance...............

The guy is worse than me I think....

You can bowl a bad ball every 2 or 3 overs... He bolws 3 bad balls every over and he does not seem to learn from it

How many times you have to be hit for 4's before you realize that you are bowling short and wide or down the legside?

I hope he is dropped for good and made to be play club cricket again.. This is some sad stuff from him...

As an Indian fan, I am running out of words for his performace... All I can say is

India are a joke and they have shown , the ICC Test Rankings are a Joke.

The HowStat rankings are more realistic.

Good batting alone won't do in swinging and seaming conditions of England. You do need wicket-taking pace bowlers. Atleast 2-3 good ones

India's weak bowling got exposed! yet again. similar to how Pakistan's batting gets exposed here.

Sides that have good seam/pace attacks (and reasonable batting) can beat England in England

Pakistan's recent test victories in England - 1987 (won 1-0), 1992 (won 2-1), 1996 (won 2-0) - were when we had world-class pace bowlers like Imran and the two W's even though our batting was reasonable rather than formidable back then. Miandad (played in 1987 and 1992) only was world-class. The rest incl. Salim Malik were decent rather than special players

Anderson, Broad and Swann...a different league for sure esp. in English conditions. That being said on sub-continental wickets it's a different ball game altogether. Indian spinners will have more say on the slow pitches

The turning point for me was yesterday when India's late middle order failed to build advantage over England after that solid partnership between Dravid and Yuvraj. At that stage a lead of 150+/- did not look beyond their reach. But then Dhoni played a wholly irresponsible and careless shot to start the collapse

417 runs came in the day. Gavaskar was particularly scathing of Dhoni esp. his field placings and the number of boundaries conceded by India today

Barring a miracle, England should go 2-0 up at Trent Bridge

This match is now beyond India. At last they lost their No.1 rank. Honestly they don't deserve to be No.1 with these bowlers.
