What's new

England (387 & 192) defeat India (387 & 170) by 22 runs to take 2-1 lead in the 5-match Test series

You are recently basing too much on bowling performance in IPL. Any bowler can have a bad day in T20. It is a different kettle of fish in the long format.
That is where i have seen him play against India. Bowled 2 overs went for 38 runs. Then played one dayers where he bowled 15 overs conceded 139 runs basically going at 9.26 in one dayers with a bwling average of 70. Wasn't impressive in LOIs. May be suitable for tests.

Dilemma for Stokes. Lord's offlate has been a bowl first wicket.

India will like to do exactly what they did at Edgbaston.

England vs India, 3rd Test:

England have won the toss and have opted to bat

Teams:

India (Playing XI): Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Shubman Gill(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Akash Deep, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj

England (Playing XI): Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes(c), Jamie Smith(w), Chris Woakes, Brydon Carse, Jofra Archer, Shoaib Bashir

Now India will suffer the wrath of the British. Its over, They might as well just give up now.

Their is no point in competing anymore.

So Bumrah back in the 11... Let's see what he is gonna do now... Prasidh dropped, good for india.

England being England most likely went to other extreme, out of three this seem like most bowl first pitch, Now see them get shoot out for under 300 and maybe even sub 200, and from there on it will be hard to comeback. Only silver line for them is no 4th inning vs Indian spinners.

Nah australian mindset always bat first regardless of conditions so england knows weakness of india runs on the board always the best

Predictions for this test

1) England score 400+
2) Root scores a century
3) Brooks carries on his good form
4) Bumrah gets exposed yet again
5) India suffers an even more humiliating defeat then in the 1st test
6) Crawley and Pope pull off a few surprises and shut up their critics
7) Archer goes God Mode
8) Jadeja gets exposed again as usual

Archer should hunt us down with ease
Jadeja will probably get tonked till no tomorrow
Root would get a double century now if he survives the first 20 balls
Brook will come on when the pitch is flat, so he will likely pulverise India unless akashdeep nips one in. Not every time can you get lucky enough to nip one in like he did in test 2

Like I said from the beginning. I am always watching, ever present 🎁

This the kind of pitch where utility players will flourish (Nitish, Jadeja, Sundar...) I expect Nitish to pick few wickets in the 1st innings and Sundar playing a part in the 2nd innings...

India should go hard with their bowling... Bumrah should be charged up... Get them allout by the end of the day...

Never, this time I am the one coaching and backing this team.

They underwent the training I personally gave them :vk2

Indian captains and tosses :facepalm
Anyways it is somewhat OK to lose the toss here...

Is Shoaib Bashir playing on some unknown quota? :inti

Guy is as mediocre as it gets and England are just wasting a spot on him.

Atleast Moeen Ali won some games despite being mediocre but this guy is just plain trash.

He's = to Jadeja as a bowler

Bad toss to lose for India...looks like terrific batting condition

Indians cant win tosses. How crappie of a team do you have to be to consistently loss at the toss

Excellent Toss win for England. Got to capitalize and score very Big. The longer they keep Team India out in the field the better. Temperatures will really peak in the next few days.

Hack or not, Duckett is a superior Test batsman to Travis Head. Average is slightly bigger despite batting in the top order.

I like them, but they are embarrassing for test openers. It's one ball in the middle, the rest they're missing by a mile and getting hit everywhere but the bat.

Duckett isn't a hack. He's a solid batsmen with a very good technique. Crawley is a hack but duckett is a proper batter.

No one disagrees lol.

All formats Head > Everyone.

Test only, Duckett > Head > Jaiswal

Another ridiculously flat pitch.
This part is agree with you bro. Even i cant stand these pitches.

I've honestly hated this series cause of these pitches. It's causing frauds to break Bradman's record smh

Zak Crawley has 5 centuries in 56 matches. Wow. How on earth is he been allowed this much time? Hafeez is 5x the player Crawley is and every one was against Hafeez as a test player.

Minus Zimbabwe, Crawley averages 27 across his last 29 Test innings.

Helps when you go to the right school and your dad is on the Sunday Times Rich List in England.

Nepotism is in every country. Their is no avoiding it. Ik this because I am a product of Nepotism as well in some regards.

But it cant be helped. Ik for a fact that if we were in Crawley shoes we would have done the same thing.

Best thing Crawley can do is to move past that avg and perform.

People expect too much from bumrah the goat
He can’t do it all in every pitch

Wasim and Waqar type players would get carted like no tomorrow here.

As soon as goat bumrah comes he takes the preferred end and poor akash has to bowl from the useless end.

Need to mix it up a bit.

It’s a tough match this one. Ultra patta

India need to just bowl spin and keep pacers fresh

Let them try to grind some runs

Deep batting on both sides.

England with the edge as they have a slightly longer batting

England have done well to survive the opening spell form Jasprit Bumrah - The Greatest of All Time

Ok bumrah>>>>>>>>>>>>>mcgrath>>>>>>>>wasim>>>>>>>>>>>holding and marshall.

Non indian fans shouldnt take it seriously this is only for our andbakhts.
Finally you got it.

McGrath had Lee and Gillespie for support

Bumrah has ??

That’s why he is goat

Such is the aura of goat bumrah that even one or 2 bad games will force people to question his ability. They expect him to perform in every game like he is a machine.

Something Wasim or Steyn dint even do

Yet goatrah has performed in almost every game.

That is poor from Ducket. Such a mid player, can't even cash in these conditions playing at home

That was really a good delivery! India did well by persisting with Nitish Reddy... (You sometimes / most times need 4 seamers overseas). India well on Top....!

Helps when you go to the right school and your dad is on the Sunday Times Rich List in England.
Wasn't aware of this. Looked him up and apparently he had a 100 pounds/week job before making it as a trader. Self-made, kind of fair enough. Ofc that makes the son privileged, but every rich guy from nothing will have a child of privilege. But yeah, I see your broad point - England values the class system a lot.

LOL Bumrah...

Reddy taking wickets while Bumrah finding another excuse in the corner to miss the next game...

What an over from Nitish Reddy.

gets both the openers out in 4 deliveries.
One thing admirable about India in overseas tours is that unfancied bowlers really put in the extra effort and make something of it.
