Add in another inevitable 50-60 runs for the last wicket and they'll get to 300. From 80/6!

Well, score card is bit misleading because Eng top order has been crap. They are mostly at 70/4. Runs normally comes from their lower middle order.

300 on the cards.

India will lose this if England get to 300. I doubt our top order hacks can play any better than England top order and India does not have the tail like England.

Curran is creaming the bowling. Second test all over again. Well done young lad, keep going son!

Don't care that it's a wicket.

Because IT HAS COST US 63 RUNS! 63!

England is not like other teams. Their strength is their lower order. They are much better than their Top 4 and they have done this time and again.

Sam Curran would walk into most teams just as a batsman alone. He is a true all rounder.

It is funny in ironic way.
Broad asks for new bats.
Then gets out lbw.
Forgets to use the bat :))

73.6
Bumrah to Broad, out Lbw!! Oh that's plumb. Smashes into Broad's pad while he's pinned to the crease. Bit of an angry scream from Bumrah in celebration. It was a sharp nip-backer from round the wicket headed towards middle, completely did Broad for pace there. But what a useful partnership. Broad lbw b Bumrah 17(31) [4s-1]
Bumrah to Broad, THAT'S OUT!! Lbw!!
A substitute runs out with four bats for Broad to pick from

And yet they dropped him for the last test - hilarious.

This has all the makings of Trent Bridge 2011.

Without Sam Curran, England would have lost this series. He is the Man of the series for England.

If Root was Michael Clarke, he'd declare. :batman:

Damn excellent recovery by England, last I saw the score it was 86-6. India should have them all out by max 180.

India will concede slight lead to England as we will most probably be all out for 220 or something.

I was hoping that England will not pick Curran for this Test. :(

Poor choice to bowl a spinner at Jimmy. He should be facing chin music from Ishant or Shami.

We've given them 75-100 too many runs.

Curran England's leading scorer, depsite playing one less match than others.

Without Curran, India would have won at least 2 matches guaranteed, or even win the series. He should be MoS if England wins. Completely demoralized India by himself.

Be a minor miracle if we are 0 down at close.

India will get a lead here , the pitch is not that bad, also Kohli is in great form.

England ends with 50 runs more than they should have.

But have to give credit to Curran. He's scored runs in every test he has played.

When India come out to bat they should be looking at nothing less than 350.

Everytime we tour, some lesser known player comes and destroys us.

In 2012, it was Tim Bresnan.

Last time it was Moen Ali and now it is Sam Curran.

450 .... 350 not much

It would be England's day if they get a wicket (or two) by close.

246 is too much on this pitch... should be an easy victory for England from here..

England hopefully pick up a couple of wickets. Remove the openers and destabilise the innings from the word go.

The way pitch is behaving, India should fold up for around 100 runs in the first innings

Hopefully Curran is not another HTB like Woakes. England find good youngsters but fail to nurture them. India is doing pretty well in this regard.

MoM and MoS should go to Curran....he won this series for England almost single-handedly

Another slap in the face to all of the Pandya's haters out there!

I hope you are not slapping yourself right now. As I said so many times he is going to perform in 1 out of 5 matches. So if his haters will get a slap everytime he performs imagine what will happen to his lovers?

How many times we have failed to finish up the tail after getting more than half the team back to pavilion? We always had this problem away from home.

India had the chance to knock England out of the game on Day 1. If they had got them out for less than 150, they would have next to no chance of winning the game...unless India too collapsed in the 1st innings.

With 250, England still have a fighting chance, again depending on how well India bat in their first innings. It looks a good batting pitch. No demons. Just have to survive 20 overs of the new ball.

If India can get 400+, they could still be bossing the game. But 400 against 150 could have been game over....with 250, likelihood is India will still have to bat in the 2nd innings to force a win. Could have another Edgbaston on our hands.

England need to survive the first 15-20 overs burst. broad and anderson not that effective when they do not have much runs to play with

Sounds like you cleared it with a lawyer this time. All bets hedged

Already a better start than England. Good job India. Get a nice partnership of 30-40 and let the middle order pick on the spinners

Already 19-0 in 4 overs. You can’t expect England with broad and Anderson to trouble India when the pathetic England batsmen can not make 300 plus. All Dhawan and Rahul need to do is make a 30 plus partnership and let the india batters take on ali, stokes and Rashid who can all be expensive .

This is the best betting pitch so far in this series. See off the new ball and India would easily score 400+

Wonderful day for us. Pitch is pacier now but has true bounce which should help in playing shots. Need someone in top 5 to hit a 100 and score 300+ somehow.

Disappointing from Pandya after taking Cook's wicket, got carried away and forgot his own mantra of keeping it simple. His main role is to bowl tight 12-13 overs and give rest to main pacers. Should not try too many things.

Got the crucial wicket of a set Cook - did his job from the 8 overs he had to bowl. Expensive but played his part.

On a cricket field, even the best of players have more bad days than good days. You have to see a player in the entirety of his career.

246 is too much on this pitch... should be an easy victory for England from here..

Given that you had about 20 posts saying that England would win the 3rd Test when it was being played, I take it to be a good sign for India that you are predicting an English victory.

Let's hope he also contributes with the bat.

The turning point of the series was the first English innings of the 3rd Test, and that was entirely due to Pandya.

246 isn't a big score unless India collapse. Southampton is a 300+ ground. England batted really poorly. Sam Curran and Moeen Ali showed what can be done on this pitch. If India bat sensibly they should get at least 75-100 run first innings lead.
