And Nasser is saying bullying this SL side will help Eng bully Indian team as well.
 
Prasana with a v poor avg before this series turning into playrr of the series for srilanka.

Why is Prasanna Jaywardene outbatting all the other Sri Lankan batsmen yet again? I thought this guy was brought in as a wicket keeper despite worse batting as Sangakaara was so good with the bat, he could be played as a specialist batsman?

Great bowling by Tremlett, really given England the advantage
 
Chris Tremlet what a fine fine bowler, he is gonna be the biggest threat for us this summer.

How useless is Broad. England will do well do give up trying to build up a failure! Seriously, there are so many better bowlers than Broad on the county circuit. He needs to be dropped! It's no coincidence that England looked a much better bowling unit by the end of the Ashes last year than at the beginning.
 
England were lucky in the first test, otherwise this series was 0-0.
 
tbh, they did bowl superbly. they were also helped by a stupid batting performance by lankans.

Yeah a world-class bowling performance from our premier tall fast bowler and frontline spinner was just lucky.

In reality, England have done well to be 1-0 up and strolling to a series win, given all the rain and bad light in the games.

Thats what I meant. That they had the chance to win the game considering how many disruptions there have been, makes them lucky, no?
 
We haven't moved out of second gear all series, except for that evening in Cardiff when we just about shifted into fourth. Very good signs and very good team.

Aye, like this nonsense about the umps being biased for England, when the England bowlers create more chances than the oppo and the England batters have better technique.

lets hope odi series will be more tightly contested. i guess it will be. lankans even have an edge there. although there is a weakness in sanath.
 
Yes, KP played superbly today. Saw his innings today from the start and he played wonderful shots and also his supposed weakness of left-arm spin was not visible today. He played Herath comfortably. When in full flow an exciting player to watch, I think he must be the most aggressive batsman England has produced barring the all-rounders Botham and Flintoff.

lankans simply do not have the bowling to exploit the helpful conditions.
they would do well to save the game. they have weather on their side.
but do they have the batsmen to do it?

England didn't produce him :p also don't forget Tresco.

a weakness not visible against left-arm spin because he doesn't have one. he is a technically brilliant batsman with a wonderful eye. any failures in his career have been mental.

Sunny day tomorrow. Hopefully Belly, Morgs and Matt can get some runs and leave four sessions to bowl them out / chase down a small target.
