I am neither supporting (extreme support) nor downplaying English batsmen... Root is definitely a good batsman, but all I am saying is English batsmen (overall) have been influenced by their Bazball tactics & pitches... Once you prepare such pitches, batsmen tend to score more runs (as you allow even opposition team to score runs). Everytime there's a chance of 4 innings (5 days of test match being utilized, as they say ECB is interested in selling tickets for all 5 days), batsmen tend to score a lot of runs + their averages get a booster as they get a chance to remain not out in their 2nd innings...

I agree that Root also played in non-bazball era, and he is an achiever.

I am not a clown like you who tell Pant is a nothing player, Jaiswal is a rubbish/hopeless batsman (has no future), Sai Sudarshan is unfit to hold cricket bat, Bumrah is a mere stat-padder, etc. I am not so naive & jealous like you... I appreciate even Pakistani players if they possess & display some talent & skills...

Rest of the batsmen must target another 100 runs.entire match will be under overcast conditions .historically batting average is 41 on day 1 and 19 on day 5.this can be our version of lords.score each and every possible opportunity. Make the ftbs to struggle with out easy pies.

400 Mark's is out of reach after pant Injury. 350 is highest we can score otherwise likely 330.

New Ball is available now and morning moisture is enough for England Pacers to bundled out india within 1st session today.

Jofra sucks, his mantra is performing once every 4 years and hes used it up.

Stokes is finished and Bethal should replace him. Mamoon is right in this regard.

The rest i agree qith excluding duckett who is one of the best not the best.

As for Brooks, you guys need to stop underestimating him. He is > KP in sena conditons.

When you have solid technique and the ability to score with proper cricketing shots, why take unnecessary risks? Why go for reckless, aura-farming strokes like a reverse sweep to a fast bowler in a Test match?

And if that wasn’t enough, now we’ve got the monkey-jump celebration after a hundred? Bhai, you’ve got just one back that's holding up—don’t push it to the point where that too gives up one day.

TV channels are calling him "unlucky" and suggesting he should do something about the evil eye. No, this isn't about luck. This is about decision-making and maturity. It's time he introspects and evolves—not just for his health, but for his career longevity.

Starc's speed has declined massively if we compare his past bowling spells and other bowlers are not fast enough now.
Indians were having orgasm when he reverse sweep anderson without realising it that the ball speed was 120 something.
Then they say why can't others do it if it's so easy because they are not stupid enough to do it as simple as that.
This guy will end his career so badly

The pitches seem to have changed after that 2nd test. So they have to bat sensibly and score as many runs as possible...

England have paused their bazball for a while and switched to traditional pitches... They understood that India have prepared to counter bazball... Now England are eying on the lack of experience in Indian Team! (particularly captain). So I expect England to eventually win this series... India may win 1 of the match (either this match or the next one) OR at least they will run close as they did in last match... If India had experience in their hand (if say Bumrah was the captain), they would have won at least 3 matches against this England team in a convincing manner (like in 2nd Test)

Very sensible advice! Hopefully it reaches Pant somehow... In fact I like his defensive positions more than his glory shots or celebrations... Looks like in complete control when he is defending...

I think this is a good pitch thier was movement in the afternoon session and I think it will spin on day 4/5
 
With Pant out remainder of the series and Bumrah will miss the last test, I dont see how can England not be 4-1. If they still cant beat this depleted Indian side and that too at home, it will be epic humiliation for Angrez

Exactly! In fact, I’m genuinely surprised that some people are saying he plays those kinds of shots because he lacks the technique to survive otherwise. No sir — if anything, I believe Rishabh Pant has better technique than KL Rahul and Shubman Gill combined. The real issue is his stubbornness. He simply refuses to play a conventional innings because he enjoys playing those unorthodox, high-risk shots.

But Rishabh bhai, please try to understand — you’re just 27, with a long career ahead of you. Cricket needs players like you to light up the format. The sport is already losing its charm for many fans; only a handful of players still make people switch on the TV and stay glued to a match.

I just hope he realises this before, God forbid, something unfortunate or career-threatening happens. He has the potential to be a once-in-a-generation player — but he has to value his gift wisely.

It wasn’t a tough pitch to bat on. But one thing’s clear — there was definitely something in the surface during the morning session, and yet England failed to capitalise. Their bowlers just aren’t consistent enough to hit the right line and length. Someone like Bumrah would’ve absolutely wrecked havoc in those conditions.
Now the pitch has flattened out, and from here, the only way India comes back into the game is if England gift their wickets through amateurish shot selection — which, let’s be honest, is very much possible with this side. Otherwise, 500 runs are easily there for the taking.

Well, I know we have our differences about him — you don’t think he’s good enough or see him as a big talent, while I do. But one thing we both can agree on is that he definitely has a show-off problem.

Looking at the way pitch played on Day 1 , I suspect innings 3 & 4 will be much shorter , similar to 3rd Test .
ENG have massive batting depth till number 10 & if they get a lead in 3 digits then IND will find it very difficult to come back .
ps : Weather seems clear mostly till day 5 . Locals , any thoughts ?

I believe he is very good brother. Apologies if you have only seen my anger at indian trolls side.

He has been avg 70 this series which is terrific. But I don't believe he's 2nd only to gilly or the 2nd coming of gilly like the media have proclaimed.

He is good, but not atg material.

Yes he is India's greatest test keeper as Dhoni was a fraud. But if you revist old PP threads or heck even know their still people who believe Dhoni is a goat and the 2nd greatest or greatest odi keeper bat.

Equating great captaincy and a great final knock on home den as 2nd greatest is cap. Gilly and QDK were better then him.

In test he's a fraud. Pant has exposed Dhoni 100%
