In general. This tournament has been awful to follow. Compare it to the RWC. Full stadiums, great atmosphere, classic games with nail biting finishes.
 
England are playing cricket based on historicl data and what they think might happen.

Can't play such overly one-paced cricket. You have to adjust to pitches and conditions better or you'll get mullered.

I’m not complaining about the pitch. You said the pitch must not be flat - I said it clearly is.

Also the tournament is boring and will be quickly forgotten. That’s just the truth. Name a single match that was memorable?

I don't know about 2003 i was just 3 years old back then LOL, but 2011 was pretty decent I remember it vaguely. 2015 was pretty good as well and 2019 was exciting and the greatest final as well.

This world cup is so so dull and boring to watch and I have watched almost every match.
Result gets determined in the first innings

I don’t even know which three matches you could be referring to. By the way, I’m not even completely blaming India, although I’ve heard that it’s difficult to get into the ground when it you have tickets and the poor crowd showing does make the TV viewing experience worse as well. I think it’s just where the format is at right now. 2011 World Cup was also posted by India and was great. But now it feels like ODIs are truly dead.
 
Anyone know the true reason why the Asian match has great crowd in SENA countries?
But SENA match has less crowd in subcontinent? .
 
Man i really feel for england champion team and a minnow side like australia are getting all that luck still cant forget the thrashing this england team given them in 2019 semi final world cup is all about luck i guess.

Not even a single exciting match so far.
Result is decided after first innings.
 
Poms are definitely below, well below par but this wicket is much spicer than the AUS-PAK game. England probably have miscalculated the target and approached over aggressively but they bat deep, Woakes, Rashid, Willy, Wood, all four can bat - should target reaching 270 here.

I were enjoyed Pakistan - Afghanistan match .
South Africa vs Netherlands match .
Now im enjoying this match where bazball is exposing.

Stokes giving LBW while doing a reverse sweep...reviewed...they can't get ultra edge working...
 
This reminds me of SA vs ENG in 2011 World Cup at Chennai. Proper snakepit Chepauk wicket which led to 170 takes on 170 score.

This pitch is not THAT hard.

Also both of those matches were boring. Afghanistan won easily and South Africa were beaten thoroughly too. Afghanistan beating Scotland in 2015 was 100000x more exciting.

This is great world cup where Most of Thing which were created by delusion fan's get exposed.

ODI game, on a bit balanced playing condition can be so exciting to watch - had that little greenish colour & a bit of bounce not been there, I would have stopped watching this game by now….. but then, on “usual” ODI wicket, by now Poms could have been 150/1 …… and I would have stopped watching again.

I see your post. I have no clue what the reason. I’m also certain the BCCI could have done something to not have the defending champions format to empty crowds. Or maybe the format really is just dead, I have no clue. Crowds in 2011 WC in India were fine. There’s just no hype without a massive crowd getting behind the big moments.
 
Broadcast showing the difference between OZ vs PAK and today's surface. Extra bounce the difference and making batting a challenge.

Because lot of forieng people from Asian countries live in sena??
Not mane sena origin people live in India or sub continent in general.

That's the reason.

In addition, it's mostly desi people who live in sena often watch cricket. Moreover than the white population.
 
They are rightfully targeting their part timer. This is still a good batting wicket. I am not sure what happened to England's form. IT is definitely not 108/5 wicket.

3) Marsh
4) Steven Smith

with Maxwell to come is a solid core batting lineup and their bowling is much much better. But I think England is good on paper, they’ve just been brainless and out of form. I don’t think they just got unlucky though.

This is the least relevant world cup I have watched in my lifetime.

2011 had decent buzz, 2015 the same, 2019 had a lot of global exposure and put some oomph back into ODI cricket but this one has 0 cross over appeal outside of the sub-continent and even then, as you say the crowds in India dont come out to pack stadiums unless India are playing.

Almost 0 support from the non asian sides with fans not wanting to travel and barely any more support for the asian sides who are just next door.

The BCCI wanted to make a BCCI only tournament...and I guess have succeeded in that.

Whats funny is, in the UK the Rugby world cup has WAYm ore buzz and from what I'm hearing the same in Aus and SA.

Ah well, BCCI cup is good I guess lol

Australia was better team even in 2019 - trust me. On player to player comparison, those three Aussies pacers are few level above Pom pacers, a part from one. Still not sure if I would take Archer or Cummins.

England won a crucial toss on customised playing conditions in the SF. That 2019 WC is among the most one sided playing condition in WC history, catered to fit English slog feast with a playing XI with several bits & pieces all-rounders making bating depth almost bottomless on absolute batting belters & small grounds, taking spin out of equation.

I’ve heard from friends that South Africa is definitely focused more on rugby right now 😂 they told me that’s why South Africa might be performing so good - no pressure to choke.

They fluked their way to a title in wc2019. That win vs aus was surreal but apart from that it was a pretty mediocre performance overall by England. Any non flat pitch They get found out. Even on flat pitches if they don't win tosses they struggle.

I think part of it is also that England will always care about test cricket than ODI cricket. I mean just look at their ODI vs Test schedules. They play more Test than anyone and because of that they played way less ODIs than other sides.

Bro even in tests they are crap. Ok not a bad team. I mean they have potential but apart from their games in England and SA, they have been poor in India Australia. They beat us on ultra flat pitches bur we have declined alot in tests. Naseem not being fully fit dint help either.

Their games in England are very competitive vs AIN sides. Nz infact won a series there.
 
SL is a proper bogey team for England. Having said that this England is there for the taking. Pakistan can easily beat these guys. Australia/England at Wankhede is going to be a bloodbath for sure
