To be honest I think it would benefit us to play bilaterals. Our guys don't know how to take the sting out the game. Playing bilateral may normalize things.

Did anybody troll you after first amtch lol As i told Indians don't celebrate this Pakistan win anymore like Pakistan does for India win. You have to move past this and do better against SENA teams and everyone.

Abhishek was the difference in the game.

And for Pakistan, it was the fact rubbish dudes like Talat were even included in the match and predictably played terribly. Salman & Nawaz were beyond terrible in the death phase while better SR players like Haris were warming the bench.

Summary: Poor game of cricket overall...Fakhar was cheated by the crook board, dropped Ind catches, Pathetic Pak low IQ batting in the 15-17 overs, and then icining on the cake, low IQ pak bowling....A Very Awful cricket on pathetic Dubai pitch!
 
Not a bad performance from Pakistan.

If they play like this vs Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, they should get to the final.

Its only in this forumn that ive encountered issues. However theirs a huge difference as well.

You can clearly tell the educated indians and differentiate them from the jahil ones.

Indians behind keyboards and Indians in real world face to face situations are different.

Even the most educated Indians can hardly ever be your friends. That has been my experience.

Think it's fine to be honest. We know Surya and his abilities well enough that we can accept a few failures from him. He was in excellent form a little while ago in the IPL. Just likes the ball coming on to him like a lot of the Indian batters do.

I wish we had brought along Shreyas. He's useful on these pitches where the ball stops a bit.

Even so, we have more that enough to win this tournament as long as we aren't as sloppy and nervous as we were today.

Good game to watch though it was over by the 26-27 over mark.

100% There was a time Sanju might have got an extended lookin, but that was like 6-7 years back. Now he looks done. A few more years and Ishan will also be done. But with Dhoni refusing to retire and Pant around, it also made sense why Sanju didn't get much of a chance all those years back.
 
This game wasn’t even as close as it may appear purely via the numbers. In the end India won quite easily.

I was one if the first non-indian members there many many years ago, but after a couple of days I realised that was not the place for me. I don't know why some of the padhosis here don't understand the same, after many years here....

Yeah, I don't think I've ever had an actual Indian friend in my life. I have over 3000+ University connections, with atleast 300-400 of them being Indian and none of em are my friends.

Just people who i use to talk to, or people who i talked to at one night club once only, or people who i never talked to and juat exist on FB and Instagram for no reason whatsoever.

But none of rm are my friends lol, not a singoe one that I personally know or care about.
 
Edgy game this. Also, we need Shreyas Iyer in this side - Samson as makeshift middle order is not cutting it.

It's really not, it started as a typo/goof and people just copy it, just like some say would off/should off instead of would have, should have which also makes no sense.

"I could care less" makes no sense, because the obvious response is, if you can care less, why dont you? So it means you do care a little?

While "I couldnt care less" means i dont care at all which is the meaning which is being conveyed.
 
indian middle order seems brittle..both against oman and pakistan but they have the most destructive opening right now..
 
Extremely hard to defend anything under 180 on this ground.

The start Pk had they needed to get near 200! Farhan slowed too much after his 50 needed to kick on and get 80 odd from 50 balls instead he ended up with 58 off 45balls. Set batsman, eye in, need to cash in, lost his shape after the 50. Talat didnt do any favours in that period!

Seems Ishan is out for non-cricketing reasons. Selectors not liking his attitude. Otherwise I think he is a far superior option to Samson.
 
People may laugh and think it wasn't close but honestly 3 overs of madness with the bat just changed the game. This match was there for Pakisyan.

And then the most crazy captaincy. All of us on the forum were thinking that bowlers like Faheem and Talat can do something . But he left Faheem late. Didn't bowl Nawaz and let part timer get pasted.

My head was in my hands watching this display not because we were totally outplayed, but because we lost the plot in key areas.

Yeah he managed to annoy Rahul Dravid by I think not playing domestic cricket when Rahul asked him to. @JaDed has more details on his issues and has been gunning for him for years now :LOL:

But I think there should be a way to rap these guys on their knuckles but also utilize their skills. Would be a waste to lose Ishan in whiteball cricket.
 
One reprieve for BD will be we may not have to deal with Bumrah. However, we still have to deal with Arshdeep's swing. Tanzid is a walking wicket against Arshdeep, but hopefully he plays more like Ashdeep against us.

Excellent victory by India..showed Pak it's place..here are the upcoming excuses and dramas to be performed by Pakistani team:
1) Pak will as usual boycott presentation ceremony and PC..
2) pitch and toss were favored for India batsman..pitch was made batting friendly and pitch curator should apologize Pak players and PCB for that..also toss coin used should be banned in next match..if not boycott
3) Sanju cheated the catch..it's not a catch..the gloves had extra finger to ensure catch is caught..the third umpire should be refrained from umpiring in the next match..if not boycott..

To be honest , this is not accurate. If Bumrah himself had gone to slower balls early and India caught better, this conversation would not even have been necessary.

Fair point...that's why i feel we miss a spin basher like Iyer....but good game, you guys also fought well...Sahibzada is a fantastic player, Saim shoudl be a wonderful all rounder for the future

I absolutely despise him, ever since i saw the MI documentary on netflix I couldn’t believe my eyes, he is the most toxic personality of Indian cricket.

Then he showed his attitude issues even professionally, the laadla beta of mama is a huge risk for India.

Yes if they lost they could for sure. Dropped catches are part of the game.

But this captaincy was suicidal. I'm not sure what the objective was here with some of the selections and the way the team was utilized. Part timers bowling near full quota, random entry of Talat, Nawaz not bowling, Faheen introduced late, Nawaz and Agha promoted over Haris...this is not just in hindsight but we all said it at the time. It was crazy.
 
Congrats to India. Their bowling has holes but their batting is good.

Surya and Samson don't seem that impressive though.

I think Gill or someone sober should be captain. Surya is chapri type who is not fit to lead.
