India has absolute advantage, if Aussies second-tier side wins it then it would be the another upset of this decade.

I think Aussie batting is pretty good. Only pace department is a bit weak.

Then again, Dubai seems to be assisting spinners now. Australia have some good spinners (Zampa, Maxwell, and Head).

Rohit Sharma delivers a strong message to Australia ahead of the Champions Trophy semi-final during his post-match presentation after the game against New Zealand:

"Australia have a rich history of playing well in ICC tournaments. About us to do things right. We have to be focussed on what we need to do on that day. Looking forward to that, hopefully we can stitch one towards us,"

Australia less the World class trio will be underdogs , add to it India are playing at their base camp , nevertheless it will be an exciting game. Adam Zampa needs to have a good game

India have huge advantage in Dubai pitches.

In spin department Aussies no match for India. Aussies will need India to play really poorly to win there.

Australia ' s best bet will be Head or Maxwell to score a blitzing ton and make India crumble in chase, unlikely though

It’s literally Travis Head vs Bharat

If get him out early, we beat Australia.

Wasn't it Rohit Sharma last year in the T20 WC who played a vital knock vs AUS?

Should be a cracker. India really should win the trophy from here but Australia are tough but spin should be too much for them. Basically they need someone to play a ripper Head, Maxwell or Inglis.

India does not have Bumrah. So it's not an A side.
And Australia doesn't have Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood, Stoinis (who resigned in protest)...so practically aus doesn't have any premium pacer and there is news about M Short being injured too (although also 2-tier player but with some matches in CT)

No Mitchell Marsh also

It will be a miracle to beat any side with oldies like Rohit, Kohli, Rahul, Jadeja. Hope they win the toss atlesat once

Marsh sucked balls against India in the test series. Also he is one of the worst player against spin. He will be made into a joker had he played.

In comparison to India on a spin tailored pitch....if this match had been in Pakistan... Even this side may have wiped the floor with India...but now it is will vs Rot learning
like they did in T20 world cup where Starc was molested by washed up Rohit on a flat pitch.

India clear favourites, but Australia had a slow start in the last WC also, so can never write them off. Australia lost to both India and SA initially before they came back and defeated both at the business end of the cup.

Aus will win, that much ik. Theirs only one poster who can turn my predictions around though 🤣

Looks like we are entering an era of unexpected realities. If John Cena can turn heel, anything can happen. So I will not be surprised if Australia upset the apple cart and beat India.

:kp

Jinxes, reverse jinxes, triple jinxes all that aside. And even with washed up senior leeches, Ind is still the fave. Will be a huge upset if Aus wins. No cummins, starc, hazelewood - the 3 best bowlers for Aus plus batting ability of cummins and starc in a pressure game. Thats a big plus for Ind. Ind should be very disappointed if they cant beat this Aus team. The silver lining if Ind lose will be - the 4 senior leeches will be out. Shudder at mental midget klrahul coming in at 50/3 or even 150/3 and poking and playing as its a grenade and stalling all momentum. His WK today was horrible. Dropped catches and byes let by. In a crunch game that will come to bite back. Imagine dropping Head when say Aus is 40/2 - game over. Biggest mental midget I have ever seen. My other concern is - Rohits super defensive captaincy when someone attacks. He becomes a deer in the headlight.

Whatever the result - just dont want a one sided game or timid meek display by Ind. You lose - you lose to the better team on that day if it is Aus or Ind. But fight till the last ball - it should be a spectacle. Want to see a cracker of a game..

Stressful? Why?

It is just a game of cricket. :inti

I would be stressed out if XRP Ripple crash.
Not for me or for others.. But for you !! The stress and trauma of waiting to see Ind lose and you cant take Ind winnin it :qdkcheeky

For me its just a game - let the better team win as long as its a hard fought cracker of a game. If Aus win , so be it. If Ind wins, then great - onto the finals.:broad

Not sure on this one bro, backing Ind to win this ! :)
Maybe, but always treat Australia as the final Boss. That'll never change. Even some troll Indian and Pakistani posters here secretly know that Australia is the final boss.

They can be defeated sure, but their always going to be the final Boss

Aus is a tournament team for sure and my fave team after USA ( :D ) & Ind . Am a massive fan of tugga Waugh, Junior, Warnie !! And yeah the better team will win sure. And maybe I am wrong on this - but dont think the next gen Aus players will be as dominant in future ICC events. They have had an awesome bowling attack for the last 10 plus years and its tough to replicate that. The next gen Ind batting talent is superb. Still believe, all ICC events if not a vast majority of them for the next 10 yrs will be won by either of Aus, Ind or Eng.

It will be surprising if India doesn't win this.

I don't think the Aussies have the bowling lineup to get the job done but their ability to turn up in knockout games is something else.

Matt Short out of the tournament. Cooper Connolly into the squad

This kind of works out for Aus. They can open with Fraser now and drop a seamer for Cooper.

1. Head
2. Fraser
3. Labu
4. Smith
5. Inglis
6. Carey
7. Maxwell
8. Cooper
9. Zampa
10. Spencer
11. Dwarshius

3 spinners

A part of me believes fraser will shock the world. He is not a bad batsmen and Van goh isn't smarter then Steve smith.

Every one in ca from Warner to smith to even Travis has talked alot about fraser.

He's one big innings away from stunning the world.

Does Dubai really require 4 spinners? It's boring to see 40 overs of spin.
They have weird pitches in that square. Some of them are very good for spin, and other are pace friendly or very good for batting. Very unpredictable square. I suspect the Semi Final will be on a fresh pitch and it may not assist spinners as much as this one today

India were not getting this much spin against Pakistan when they bowled against them. It was a flat pitch with minimal grip+turn unlike today’s pitch.

Pakistan fans shouldn’t act like they would have beaten India that day if they had two spinners instead of just one Abrar. Score of 240 still was never enough

India don’t have jaiswal
Bumrah
Fit shami
Pant
Either

I would even say tilak verma who has immensely improved deserves a shot
And sai sudarshan

Everything that had to go wrong went wrong in that fateful final. SKY's selection missing of 3 Aussie killers Ashwin, Pandya, Pant. Toss loss. 2015 Australian team was a gun team. 2019 okay team. 2023 rubbish team for Indian conditions. So that shameful event cannot happen again.
