India (From): Rohit Sharma, Lokesh Rahul, Virat Kohli(c), Ajinkya Rahane, Manish Pandey, MS Dhoni(w), Hardik Pandya, Kedar Jadhav, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami

Australia (From): David Warner, Travis Head, Steven Smith(c), Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Wade(w), Peter Handscomb, James Faulkner, Marcus Stoinis, Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Adam Zampa, Hilton Cartwright, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Kane Richardson

No Starc or Hazlewood.

This should be carnage with IND's batting lineup.

3 of our best quicks aren't included. If I was BCCI I'd be upset we haven't sent a stronger squad. I expect 4:1 India. Might get to 3:2 if someone wins a match almost on their own.

Mathew Wade needs some runs.

Wonderful start for the cricket equivalent of the ABs against a second string Aussie pace attack.

Imagine facing Cummins and Coulter Nile after a 10 over opening spell from Starc and Hazlewood. Good luck batsmen!

I guess we should probably find a spot for Stoinis in the Western Australian Matadors Cup team.

Lol never seen Dhoni show emotions like he did in the mix-up with Jadav, luckily Dhoni survived but the other guy was out next ball.

By every match, Pandeya guy is showing improvement. Already a top class player, porbably should make world team squad for ODI

If I had to draft a squad in any format but Test, Hardik Pandya would be the first name on the sheet.

This is why. He is the best limited overs player in the world.

When Rohit and Kohli fail, India struggles mightily.

Jadhav, Pandey Rahane are not reliable.

Dhoni playing at snails pace yet again. Take singles bro.

I expect India to be bundled for 230. Aus will easily win this unless they choke badly.

It's clear that teams won't bring spinners, particularly leggis in front of a set Pandeya in near future.

He is. If you've watched MI chases you'll know this.

Once he's set and goes into over-drive it doesn't really matter what is being bowled.

He can hit anything under 140k's. But against genuine pace, I didn't see him going into beast mode yet.

Well played young man - didn't try to get his hundred, which he could easily got by taking may be 23 balls for his next 17 runs ....

The days of selfish hundreds are gone, social and online media is savage on players.

That's unfair to current players - social & online & other media format was there as well in 90s & 00s :(

On a serious note, I think, it's about a shift in mindset in terms of achievement & measurement of success - and, that started from Ganguly era, polished during MSD's time & now at mature stage in Kohli's leadership. More than general public, I think the biggest change is in critic media - Harsha Bhogles these days don't write epics for high elbow, steady head, toe in line, perfect balance ..... if it doesn't win a match.

I would take a 23 ball 17 runs at this point from Pandya than 5 runs of 23 balls from BK and MS.

That's symbolic numbers - point is playing for a mile stone or playing as par the match demands.

Hardik is developing into a dangerous LO batter, his bowling still needs work but India seem to have found a potential world class all rounder. India's patience and investment in him seems to be coming off now.

To me Pandya is a better bowler than a batsman.

Pandya' batting is still hit or miss. Needs to develop some patience.

Dhoni had to rebuild and these Indians are crying , why not point your fingers at the Motorway King ai :yk Oh am sorry, I forgot the Messiah is perfect and can do no wrong.

Kohli failed on motorway today.

280 won't be enough on this pitch. It's a 320 surface.

The big hitting should have come a little earlier.

Big over by Cummins - reduced target by at least 10.

BK struggling against the pace of cummins.

Even 280 will be difficult here.

India needs to super good with the ball.

Dude, its just one match.Dont start the wrist-slitting already. The same Pandey scored a 100 against aussies while successfully chasing a 300 plus score and so have a little faith in him.I am not that confident on Jadhav though and that is why I want Raina back in his old form and fitness.

India bounced back extremely well. Should be a good match unless Warner fires or Australia collapses

Should be a tight match for the spinners, but still these days below 300 is tough to defend in IND, particularly, if it dews.

Now people should have understood why Dhoni is important for us.He stayed till the end and went after faulkner to get us to a decent total. If not for him, we wouldnt have even crossed 250.

Shaz, you usually present with all the stats in the world, did you not know that Kohli had lowest average against SL among all prior to recent series or you just have to bitter regardless for Kohli? Shows your standard unfortunately, one inning in CT final makes him mediocre batsman, now you can also say he is failure on flattrack as he failed today. So he can not score on flats, cant score in moving conditions, so how did he make more than 8000 runs. Dont be so blind!!!

It seems like Star has it in their contract to give at least a certain amount of screen time to Kohli in every match no matter what. It was hilarious seeing the camera pan to him like every 3rd ball throughout the innings as if the real match was happening in the dressing room.

Kohli is still struggling against moving ball and I think we are gonna struggle again in England test series like last time.

Amazing rescue effort from Dhoni, Indians have no shame berating him constantly. Channel your criticism to the right direction please :kohli

Get used to it.
