Keep watch on Yuvraj's bat-speed. If he swings it freely and fast we are set.
 
As long as players like Rayudu and Dhawal Kulkarni don't make national team, we are good.

Good to see Kuldeep getting chances.

Legend he is. And Woakes has been in very good nick as well in recent times.

Rayudu doesn't fit in our team atm.
 
Ha ha..English openers bish bashing our trundlers to all parts of the ground before Kuldeep comes and cleans up both in 2 overs.

Not sure about tests but he's one of the clever bowlers I've watched in the IPL. Should definitely be in our LOI team (T20s minimum) and should slowly be inducted into test cricket. He's a dependable batsman and so he's another spin bowling all rounder to go with Ashwin, Jadeja, Jayant, etc. I wouldn't mind him being given a game against Australia.
 
Two wrist spinners bowlig back to back is a treat to watch. Both of them look like they are about to get a wicket everyball.

impressive. he's just 22 aswell. test future definitely possible. Chahal gets Morgan now too.

Most probably Sharma. Maybe Singh too.
 
Don't know why Mandeep Singh keeps getting picked.

Guy is bog average. Would prefer someone like Pant or even Uthappa.

For a while over I thought it was international with Dhoni there and nehra and Pandya bowling :))

Even 200 today isn't good enough.

Its about quality required for modern ODI.

Rayudu has poor SR be it domestics or international. Mostly bashes the spinners while looks out of sorts against pacers.
 
What's with the lack of energy in the field? no one's talking or encouraging the bowler. All very quiet, going through the motions.

he can open as well, i believe. in which case, hales is a candidate . otherwise woakes or one of ali/ rashid.
also morgan...if his form drops.
 
Pandya was decent imo,Dhawan lol and Mandeep is just letting go of his chances,defn feels like he is a friend of Kohli's.

Well our bowling made a good match out of it but we were always 20-30 short on this flat wicket. Indian bats took their time for some match practice, while England got a good workout as well.

Win-win for both teams tbh.

Trust me on this. His batting is developing in right direction. Don't judge it on 5 balls of blind slogging. He has good hand eye Co. And is a tall powerful man. We don't need another Binny in LO's.

And he has learned only recently that cricket ball swings too.
 
Why do we keep coming back to Mohit?I mean he a decent lad for IPL but above that not needed at all.
 
I didn't watch most of Rayadu's innings today but caught his last 20-30 runs and that was some awful ODI cricket by today's standards. He'd go from 80 of 80 balls to 80 of 88 and then hit couple of boundaries. He may have ended with a 100+ S/R but he doesn't rotate strike, he just blocks and then frees his arm once in a while against a poor ball. Thats poor ODI cricket.

I doubt Kohli will let him have a look in. Anyway Pandey, Yuvraj will be fighting for a spot now.

Pandya is tall and strong? :))) Pandya is a tooth pick and will always be useless. He just runs up and bowls gun barrel straight. He also bowls 1 or 2 hit me balls every over.

Even when he gets limited chances, he looks clueless against anything over 130k's. He can bash spinners though.

I would much rather have jaddu or Kuldeep/Jayant or even play a batsman like Pant in his place.
 
Who cares about Jamodis.

Just want Pandya to develop into a good pace bowling all rounder for overseas tests.

This was the occasion to try out Avesh Khan or some upcoming pacer.

But our selectors are stupid. They keep going back to worthless trundlers who grunt hard to bowl at 130k's.

Add Nehra to this bowling lineup and it has to be the most lolworthy pace attack. Thankfully, its just a practice game.

Our selectors are always against blooding in youngsters even for practice matches. It would have been great if Jayant/Pant/Avesh Khan/Sarafraz Khan were tried out. Instead we invest in 30+ year olds whom we have seen fail countless number of times and make a mockery of fans enthusiasm.

Look what Aus or England or NZ do when touring teams play practice games. They put a bunch of upcoming nobodies and see if they can swim the ocean.

Pandya is a horrible bowler and even horrible batsmen.he will lose u so many matches with his horrible halfway down the pitch filth .our selectors are waiting for him to turn out into an allrounder when he is not good enough in both facets
