India beat Bangladesh by 208 runs in the one-off Test match

Should score 200 runs in 30 overs and then declare. And lol at those who said Bangladesh would compete better than England or other overseas teams. Though they(Eng/SA/NZ/Aus) too get hammered in India, they are still a quality, can play other facets of bowling and are good in other areas of the game while Bangla players are bad in batting, poor in bowling, awful in fielding. Overall dreadful. Still a long way to go for them to even match Sri Lankan side of late.
 
Good knock by Mushi,my dislike for him has really made him finally play a good knock in India.
 
What's wrong with this Rahul. A double failure after a 199 last test.
 
And again they check for the no-ball. This is starting to make me angry.

Why even have umpires??

200 is way too much. 500 is not required for India. We Should aim at 450. Bat till half an hour after tea, and give the bowlers sufficient amount of time to get the Bangladeshis out.

Honestly as I have said before, he is an ordinary keeper and captain, but he is far by the best batsman we have in ODIs and Tests, pressure batsman, all terrain batsman. His average in both ODIs and Tests recently have been around 50, all that playing mostly top sides.
 
Can't blame the openers, we need quick runs, even if we are 140/6 at the end of this session should be good for us.

We will go all out for runs this sessions.
 
Taskin bowling with venom, you need venom in test cricket.

These loose cannons like Rabbi and Shafiul are abominations in test cricket. Heck I would have Ishant sharma over these guys.

I wouldn't blame Rahul too much for this one. The intent was clear - to go for quick runs. First innings though, it was poor cricket from Rahul.

Why does he bat so low in test matches? You need to give him more time to score daddy hundreds.
 
Mushfiq in the best batsman Bangladesh has ever produced. He is a fighting character, Sri Lanka have become a formidable side in world cricket because of strong characters like those, not because of flashy batsmen like Sarkar, Ashraful or most of the BD batsmen.

With tons of match experience in india they loose 5-0 or 4-0 but you are saying they plays better than Bangladesh who never played in India and still in the game to draw. Ridiculous comparison. Let Bangladesh play 5-0 series in different pitches in India ,I am sure we will do much better than eng,NZ,aus ,may win a or two match. Let's play 5 match series in Nagpur and see the results.

The problem with Bangladesh right now is their inconsistency in the 2nd innings. They bat really well in the 1st innings but falter in the 2nd innings when they know that they can salvage a draw or even win. But they have definitelty improved in test cricket. Getting this mental strength for the 2nd innings is the next step.

Why not just give the responsibility of checking no balls to technology/3rd Umprire and free the on-field umpire of this additional burden?

We should go a step further and get rid of the on-field umpires. They're clearly not good enough anymore.

1. The pitch we produced for this test is a "typical" India pitch. Those Nagpur ones were disgraceful and are "exception".

2. All Bangla players are used to and have grown up playing on these type of pitches back in their domestic circuit unlike non-Asian teams. Poor excuse.

Ideally, should have some form of technology that automatically checks for a no ball and informs the infield umpire immediately.

Why do World Beaters and the team who can only defeated by bribing umpires need experience?

As for the level of competition, Bangladesh still gave away a whopping 299 run lead that's not something called a challenge as far the game is concerned. Just managed 8 wickets so far. while conceding 700+ runs @ more than 4 RPO.

The point is we were expecting Bangladesh to get rolled over in 4 days, they made it to day 5.that's all.

best bd test team combination will be this
1. Tamim
2. Imrul /Nazmul (replacement if needed)
3. Mominul
4. Mosaddek
5. Shakib
6. Mushfiq
7. Nurul (extra wicket keeper better than mushfiq and better batsman than shabbir)
8. Miraz
9. Taizul/Shuvashish
10. Taskin
11. Rabbi
 
Should declare in 20 overs with a lead close to 450.

Ideally earlier, if the batsmen hit out.

Bangladesh have certainly improved. To be able to score 600 in NZ and nearly push the score to 400 here does show that their test bating has improved. Where they still struggle is in the 2nd innings. Thats not because of a technical reason, but because its difficult to handle pressure over 5 days. Thats what will take them to the next level now.

Kane would have been nudging it around for singles selfishly instead of looking for the boundary every second ball.

And when he does switch gears, he'd slog like a girl and get out.

He had a glorious run for 2 years where he could do no wrong, Kohli has entered such a phase!

No problemo, here are some jobs they can do:

1. Security guard outside the grocery store pointlessly looking at people's bills as they leave the store.
2. Waiting at the ticket machine at a mall's parking lot to hand out the stub which will be spat out regardless of whether he's around or not.
3. CISF guy at the airport jetway casually looking at your boarding card for the twelfth time and checking whether you have your equally pointless hand baggage tag strapped on.

Here in India, we have jobs for everybody!

Smith is still going strong and scoring everywhere.

Kohli and Smith are in a league of their own atm and are separating themselves from the rest of the pack.

Chandimal etc will play a few innings that would be amazing. I expect the Bangladesh batters to consistently put scores in the 1st innings.

Mathews and Hearth are world class and Chandimal being better than Bangla's best batsman shows the gulf between both sides.

nope. you will see the difference when bangladesh tour SL. SL might win the series, but it will be marginal.
 
Just repeat the same dose for another 15 overs and declare. Give our bowlers atleast 4 full session to get Bangladesh all out

Sri Lanka can only improve from here. They will become a decent side soon again. Meanwhile Bangladesh will be forever trying to give a "fight".

And what if Bang hang on in this test? What would be your opinion then?

Bangladesh are continuously improving. Especially over the last 3-4 years they've had a marked improvement in all forms of the game.
